My car was going 70 on the interstate and the reduced engine power signal came on and my car jerked and started powering down. it was a throttle body issue. now my cars electrical system won't work, and electronic stability control won't work because of small magnets that had poor design. my car windows don't open. the electrical system shuts of while the car is driving and i can't see my steering panel at all.
Low beam headlights dimmed. high beam headlights failed completely. moisture build up in headlight housings apparently impacted electronic headlight controllers. auto dealership estimates approximately $2000.00 to repair.. replacement of both headlight bulbs produced no difference in light output. bulbs that were replaced appear to be fully functional. mechanic at firestone auto care facility states that 'headlight housing unit appears to have defective seals allowing moisture in and remaining inside the housing damaging controllers'.
There is water all over the floor of my 2011 cadillac srx luxury edition and its from the sunroof. the water got into my electrical and now my trunk won't open and the floors won't dry. the vehicle was parked.
We drive a 2015 cadillac srx. i work in real estate and went out to one of my homes to remove the signage after the home had sold and when i went to let up the hatch to place the sign in the back of the vehicle the hatch would not open. after several failed attempts of trying to open the hatch from the push button at the rear of the vehicle i thought i would try the button on the inside of the drivers door, still nothing it will not open. did some research, spoke with some other gmc/cadillac owners and mechanics we was told that this is a common issue with their vehicles and that there was no recall for this issue either. and during our research we was told that water leaks into the area where of which the lift gate module kit is stored on the left rear of the vehicle this of course if what made the computer board to burn out. looked up to see if there is a recall on this and like several other issues we have experienced there has not been a recall to fix this problem either.
Since the sunroof drain tube dislodged causing water to leak inside causing an electrical short. the computer doesn't sense the driver door. you can drive with the door open and no ajar warning. the window doesn't go up or down. the radio and interior lights do not go off once you exit the vehicle. it shuts off automatically after 10mins as oppose to shut off when you open the driver door. there's a class action lawsuit regarding this problem
Touch screen(cue) stopped working completely. i cannot change heating and cooling listen to radio or any of the other functions that the touchscreen offers. there have been many other complaints from consumers of this make and model concerning the cue being defective. i also understand there is a class action lawsuit filed which i will put put my name on. my dealer that i purchased the vehicle from didn't even attempt to do anything all they said was "it's not working and you need to take it to a dealership that handles cadillacs." i have read the cost can be anywhere from 1200 to 1500 dollars to fix and this was not covered under my extended warranty. i just purchased this vehicle in march of this year. very disappointing!
When i turn on the car the gas gauge and the temp gauge do not move. the security and no traction warning lights stay on. when i drive the car on the street steering is sluggish, the trans rpms are high, sometimes the car goes to the left while driving. on the radio there it reads anti theft system hit button to clear. when i turn off the car the key will not come out of ignition and i have to use screwdriver to push a button in steering column to release it. one week everything worked great, no warning lights, gauges worked, no high rpms on trans and steering was fine and the key came out of the ignition and nothing on radio about anti theft sys. but everything is not working again and now engine light is on.
Sealed headlight assembly fails causing irreversible condensation buildup that diffuses low-beam headlights to the point of being unusable. headlights are so dim that turn signals illuminate the roadway much more brightly than the headlights. happens in all operating conditions, stationary, in motion, and on all types of roadway. i have a video showing just how diffuse and dim the headlights are.
Gas gage, temp gage doesn't light up, power steering doesn't work, tail gate won't open, t/c light stays on, lock light stays on ignition getting hard to turn key off, car stalled. 2006 cadillac srx. when turning ignition on. it works some time when weather is cold, when it warms up it quits working.
