Tl* the contact owns a 2001 cadillac deville. while driving 6 mph, the vehicle jerked, lost power steering, and stalled. a warning indicator illuminated. the vehicle was towed and was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was notified about the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 120,000.

When shifting from park to drive shift lever hides some of dash functions from view. dealer said there was nothing that could be done about it. *ak

While driving consumer noticed that the dic message center indicated that the transmission should be checked, consumer was informed that a new park/neutral switch was needed, consumer made an appointment for the repairs to be completed but when he arrived to pick up the vehicle he was informed that the parts were on order, consumer then drove the vehicle home parked it in the driveway and moments later consumer was informed by a neighbor that the vehicle had rolled out of the driveway across the road and hit a tree, consumer went to start the vehicle, but would not start in park, consumer then took it out of park and put the vehicle in neutral and started the vehicle, after the necessary repairs were made, consumer proceeded to drive the vehicle when all of a sudden the vehicle jumped into neutral which happened twice, consumer took vehicle back to mechanic, and was advised to drive with the traction on instead of off, while driving consumer noticed that the transmission was not shifting all the way in to drive.*yh
