Problems with 2000 Buick LeSabre ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING

2000 buick lesabre ltd approximately.(1)month after purchase vehicle stalled in traffic while coming to a stop or at low speeds dealer replaced idle air control,replaced fuel pump relay;manufacturer case#4032757. 10/23/01replaced water pump;uses oil;frontend vibrates ai 65mph date reported 10/23/01 dealer dealer balanced tires front end still vibrates to date of this report.i purchased all new tires but still have same problem with front end vibration , coolant at intakemannorfold.replaced gasket,(3)wheel alignments,passenger window inop replaced windwo regulator,water pump replaced again; at 35684mileage dealer states that while changing my oil he found left and right tire rods having excessive play tire rods replaced after i notifide manufacture file#f-244217003. *ak

I had at least 6 different times that i would go to start the engine and it would only hum, not start. i took it to the dealer while under warranty and they said they could not duplicate the problem. i asked if they checked the battery cables and they said yes. i asked this as i thought that was the problem, a loose battery connection. i knew they did not check, as the battery is under the rear seat and i placed a kleenex box in a marked position and it was exactly the same when they returned the car. it finally just wouldn't start at all, so i had it towed to a repair station (not the dealer) to be fixed. they said the battery cable was loose and arking and they were surprised that i didn't have a fire under the back seat. the reason for my complaint, i don't want anyone injured or killed from a fire under the rear seat in any 2000 buick lesabre. hope you will make gm check all battery connections on any model with the battery under the back seat. thank you.*ak

Vehicle would sometimes cut off or just stop when making a right turn. dealer inspected vehicle, and said it operated according to specifactions. it happened 2 other times, may 8 & 10, 2000. *ak

Ongoing problem with vehicle stalling while traveling at slow speed. vehicle would restart most of the time. dealer notified. provide further details. *ak

At the first filling of gas tank, fuel came out of bad gasket and spilled fuel causing wicked bad fuel smell through out interior of car. heater has never operated properly. the only way that you can be comfortable in cold weather is to operate manually. the alternator has always had a very noticeable and annoying hum at slow speeds. the alternator has been replaced twice, with no improvements in the noises. power assist failed and as a result i lost all braking and a strong odor developed inside the car. this is ok now and along with the gas tank is the only things that have been repaired.

While driving in traffic vehicle just shut off. brakes and engine failed, and everything just shut down. dealership has been notified. mechanic stated that they can't duplicate the problem. *ak

Ongoing / intermittent problem with engine stalling while driving. engine stalls while coming to a stop or idles while running. dealer notified, and informed consumer that nothing could be found. can nhtsa help in this matter. *ak

Was driving vehicle when it stalled out at 1,600 miles. took to dealer and was suppose to be repaired. problem happened again at 2,100 miles. stopped driving vehicle during summer and drove only winter time. problem of stalling reappeared once more at 10,600 miles. vehicle was repaired each time for stalling. finally contacted manufacturer and nothing could be done about stalling.*ak *jb

Fuel tank and sending lines need to be replaced due to o-rings improperly fitted on fuel pump. in july 2000, vehicle was making a knocking noise when turning or going over a bump. front/rear transmission mounts were defective components. dealership put a sealer on this, but it failed to correct defect. *ak the dealer had replaced motor, transmission mounts, power steering lines, gasket to catalytic convertor and switch for heated seat. *yh

Vehicle has had numerous incidents of stalling while driving. mjs

Vehicle experienced stalling on several occasions causing loss of all power steering and brakes, dealer has been unable to fix the problem. nlm

Vehicle stalls with no indications, results in no brakes / power steering. car taken to dealer, but they were unable to correct the problem. *ml

After driving a short distance, the car kills. the power steering, and power brakes go out making driving very difficult. the car will not start again for approximatly 20 minutes. the vehicle has been towed to two seperate dealership on three occasions. of the 1400 mile currently on the vehicle, approximatly 600 were put on by the dealership attempting to duplicate the error.

While driving vehicle engine check light came out & stayed. would be risking engine shut down if kept driving. contacted dealer 6 different times for engine problem. parts had been repaired, but the problem would reappear a few days later. *ak
