When vehicle reengaging from auto start/stop during stops in traffic and/or lights/signs, slamming into gear after removing foot from brake, prior to pushing gas pedal. happens in highway travel (if having to come to a stop) and city travel. dealership replaced auxiliary fluid accumulator and added fluid to transmission. owner now realizes fluid spots in driveway are where vehicle must have been leaking some fluid.
Last couple years i been having problems with the transmission skipping, hesitating a lot the dealer told me there is big problem with the transmission in this vehicle and they told me i will need new transmission or it has to be rebuilt because it will get worse with time. my mechanic add some lucas to help smooth up the shifting and i did that twice and it getting worse now so i don't know what i will do because new transmission is costly and rebuild also. the problem accurac when i drive every day and it's happens when i be cruising and the car be hesitating and shaking and don't want to down shift and then feels like is stoling and will shut down and this happens all the time. this happens every time i drive so this is safety issue and this is happening to a lot of people and should be recall for the transmission in this vehicle as soon possible. thanks
Tl* the contact owns a 2009 buick enclave. while driving 50 mph, the vehicle started to jerk, the gears slipped, the rpms increased, the vehicle failed to accelerate, and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. the contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road and powered off the engine. the vehicle was restarted, but the failure recurred. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the transmission failed after having the vehicle for 9 months and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not taken to a dealer and was not repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 100,000.*dt*jb
Vehicle losses power, engine light came on, codes p0008, p0017, p0009- took it to shop and they said the oil was 3 qts low. i just had it changed within 60 days. they changed the oils and cleared the codes which were showing. i also had transmission fluid changes and a new front left transaxle installed. wife drive the vehicle home, which is within 3 miles of shop. engine came back on with the same three codes given above. caleed back to shop next day, they said engine would have to be pulled and the chart said about a 21 hours job (they charge $68/hr). and said it would be about $2500 to fix. i see many posts online with this vehicle concerning this same issue. there should have been some type of recall on the timing chains/belts in these cars and like models.
I have looked up my vehicle information through gm. i can see where they had the vehicle in a shop in ny to look at it. unknowingly i bought a vehicle with a huge list of issues! first of all, the torque converter was going out on my vehicle when i purchased it for a dealer. second, the transmissions on the enclaves, acadias, traverses and terrains are junk! i take great care of my vehicles and have never had a transmission fail on me at 100,000 miles! when gm has this vehicle in ny they should had replaced the transmission and the torque converter when it was still under warranty! they stated that they could not find out what the issue was. every single person that i have been in contact with that has the above named vehicles are left with transmission failure at very low mileage. now i'm left with having to repair the cost of both units. this should be investigated as to many issues are arising from these models. when you are driving down the road and the vehicle does nothing but shudder and shake while not wanting to accelerate is dangerous! ...
I purchased a new 2018 enclave in september of 2018. i received a recall letter for the vehicle sometime during the spring 2019 so i went to my dealer service department to get it check and i was told everything was fine. then in september i noticed the check engine light came on and the vehicle would not accelerate properly so i took it to the dealer service dept. asap. they told me there was an issue with the transmission. they said that because i had less than 5,000 miles this issue should not be occurring. it's been 4 months and i have not received a reasonable time frame for when my vehicle will be ready. my rights as a consumer have been violated because i received a defective vehicle, which put my family and i at risk. the same dealership offered to give me a loaner vehicle that ended up being defective as well. this dealership is selling defective vehicles. they have told me that about 50 other people are going through the same issue and the only i can do is be patient, but during the time i have incurred many damages and inconvenience and this deanship along ...
I have had continuous problems over the last year with the stabilitrack system going off and it telling me to service stabilitrack. however, now my transmission is going out and i have a car that i owe way too much for and can't afford to get the transmission fixed. on top of the transmission my ignition only works part of the time. there is no point in replacing the ignition if the transmission is gone. i have already replaced the motor on the windshield wipers but apparently the previous owner had the motor replaced during the recall so i had to pay out of pocket for that. not to mention spending over $200 just to get my headlight bulb replaced at a shop because its not simple enough to just take the cover off and replace the bulb. this car has been nothing but a money pit. the transmission has been acting a little strange like occasionally not wanting to shift one day and then being fine the next. the other day i was driving and it wouldn't shift, rev"d up to 4000 rpm and wouldn't go over 40 mph. i'm at the point where i can not afford to ...
2008 intermittently and unexpectedly shuts off while driving. no matter the speed. sometimes 30mph on the street, sometimes 70mph on the expressway. sometimes it starts right back up, sometimes it doesnt. no one seems to know why. cars cost too much to be playing guess the problem!! take to dealer at $100. a visit for them to guess and ultimately not fix the problem. because a week later the vehicle is doing the exact same thing you took it in for. i just wish someone new what the real problem was. very disappointed in gm. this vehicle has had so many problems, but it's supposed to be low end luxury. it's dangerous and i guess people have to start dying and a class action lawsuit against gm will happen before anything is done.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 buick enclave. the contact stated that the air bag warning light illuminated intermittently. the contact took the vehicle to alpine buick gmc 8120 w tufts ave, denver, co 80123 to have the light turned off however, the warning light remained illuminated. the contact also stated that one day while reversing from the driveway, the power steering ceased without warning and the vehicle hit a tree. no injuries were reported and there was not a police report filed. the contact had the vehicle repaired under warranty at the same dealer but the failure recurred. also, the contact stated that the transmission had to be replaced under warranty due to an abnormal noise that was heard emitting from the engine. the contact had the transmission replaced. the manufacturer had not been notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 29,515.
Traveling at highway speeds car suddenly shifted itself into neutral and could not be engage back to any drive gears. brakes were inoperable and accelerator was in operable. finally came to a stop by coasting to the shoulder and waiting for speed to drop far enough to get vehicle to go into park.
