My husband was driving our vehicle on i-20 in georgia on tues 8/15. it was around 2:00pm, 90-95 degrees, no cars within a 1/2 mile in front or behind. it sounded like a small explosion. sunroof shattered outward. the shade was pulled so glass did not come into the passenger section. a fine glass dust came through the shade. buick is claiming it was hit by an unknown impact. that is completely untrue. there was no vehicle, person or equipment anywhere near. it was very disconcerting and the startle/distraction could have caused a serious accident. please help get car manufacturers to change the type of glass or installation so this does not happen again. in the meanwhile, it should be the manufacturers responsibility to pay for repairs.
