About a year ago, our 2014 buick enclave awd, began shuddering while driving and lagging when trying to accelerate. 4 months ago, the vehicle's check engine light came on while i was on the freeway. it also displayed the "traction control off" 'stability control off" and "engine power reduced" signs on the dashboard. my vehicle went from 75 mph to 25 in a matter of seconds.. while i was on the freeway with my two children in the car! i was able to pull off to the side of the road, turn the car completely off and turn it back on again. this seemed to reboot the computer, but the check engine light remained on for several days. 4 months later, this has now happened about 16 additional times, 3 while on the freeway! we've replaced the throttle body, throttle body gasket, mass air full sensor, pvc valve and the power train module relay. we are continuing to have problems!! the most recent, this morning while taking my children to school. this on top of having to have the a/c evaporator replaced at least once/ year since we bought this vehicle brand new off the lot! i'm a little tired of putting my children's lives as well as my own in danger every time i take them and pick them up from school!

I have a p0420 code on my 2014 buick enclave for about a year now. almost everything related to engine performance was replaced because no one could believe that the catalytic converter went bad - even at the dealership - on a 4 year old car where the aftermarket catalytic converter has a 5 year warranty. i spent over $2,000 so far replacing one thing after another at the dealership's advice because they did not even know the reason for the fault. now i know it is the catalytic converter because the exhaust started smelling bad whenever the car is running. gm/buick should investigate why its catalytic converters are failing and fork the bill on fixing it.
