Takata recall:i received a letter from audi in july 2016 notifying me that my vehicle is subject to this recall, but also informing me that "a recall repair is not yet available." seven months later, i am still awaiting notification that a remedy for this potentially fatal defect has been identified. apparently, i'm supposed to drive this vehicle at my own, and my passengers', risk that an airbag may deploy and result in serious injury or death. this is absurd.

Takata recall it has been over a year since we have been able to have a passenger in my wife's 2006 audi a4 wagon due to this airbag recall. we cannot drive together in the front and this is now ridiculous as i cannot fathom why there is no fix yet and no parts. this is truly unacceptable. i want a repair done asap.

Glancing side impact head on collision - vehicle rolled 270 degrees - right, upside down, then ended on left side. none of the airbags deployed. impact speed was more than sufficient to roll vehicle, thus they should have deployed. vehicle proceeding in motion - probably 20 mph at time of impact on two lane highway (other vehicle crossed over) approx 35-40 when first observed other vehicle moving erratically

Takata recall i received a recall notice in july 2016 and am told the repair is still not available. i have not driven the vehicle since then which has resulted in much difficulty and expense. i have uploaded a photo of a friend who was in an accident involving a defective airbag. i request audi give me a loaner car until the airbag is replaced. *tr

At an intersection, a ford f250 pickup, pulling a trailer, turned left into my 2006 audi a4 avant. my vehicle was traveling straight through intersection traveling at about 20 to 25 mph.. i was traveling alone, with my seat belt on. my vehicle was crushed up to the firewall and was totaled (photos are available). the air bags on my vehicle did not deploy. the belt tensioner did deploy. *tr

In early september 2010 the air bag warning light came on in my 2006 audi a4 cabrio and would not turn off. i took the car to be serviced and was told the air bag needed to be replaced. the car has never been in an accident. it is now out of warranty. this part has never been used. if i'd been in an accident the air bag would not have deployed. although a tsb has not been issued for this problem, i have read similar complaints of this happening to the same car after the same # of years. suggest that the nhtsa take a look into this issue. had i been in an accident and needed the airbag to work, it would not have. since the car has never been in an accident, this indicates the part was faulty all along. a recall should be issued and audi usa should replace this part free of charge for all vehicle owners to avoid the inevitable lawsuit if the part fails when someone does have an accident. *tr

2006 audi a4 cabriolet air bag light comes on and stays on. dealer checked wiring connections under seat and light went out. 1week later it's back on. this time they sodered the wires and cleared the code. a week or 2 later it's back on and they did something else, what i'm not sure. 2 weeks after that light is on and they replace airbag in drivers seat. a few weeks after that it is on again and the dealer replaces the ring in the steering wheel ( clockspring??) 2 weeks after that the light is on again and the car is currently at the dealer. am told it is a random fault. the car has about 35000 miles on it and the factory warranty is about to expire and the audi certified warranty about to kick in. i purchased the car with about 33,000 miles on it. *tr

Takata recall -i find this extremely disturbing that a risk as the recall states "in the event of an inflator rupture, in very rare cases metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material, which may result in serious injury or death to vehicle occupants." the part that i find disturbing is that there is no replacement part available at this time and no loaner cars are being provided nor an alternative other than the recommendation of not having a passenger sit in the vehicle.i have paid a lot of money for my car, and it is very well maintained by audi dealership.it seems unjust that no matter how good i have cared for and put into my vehicle, it is still and has always been unsafe?i am not in a position where i can hold off on carrying any passengers in the front seat. i am a mother of 2 ( a 15 year old and 7 year old) and i also share carpool with another parent where i have no choice but to use my front seat. besides that, i do not think it is right for audi to suggest how to use their car that they have invested in without a fair accommodation. i do not have an "extra" car that i can drive around as an alternate and even if i did, how fair would it be for audi to ask me not to drive it, if i plan to have passengers in my car, or how fair is it for me to ask my friends and family to sit in the back seat?! this is ridiculous. i plan to be compensated. audi should hope that nothing terrible happens to anyone. i had plans for my daughter to take over this car. she will be 16 soon and has been learning to drive in this audi, and now i may have to purchase a different car for her because this audi is unsafe. might i add, i may even have to hold off teaching her to drive under her ca. driver's permit because i am no longer to sit in the passenger seat? this is ridiculous, you have no idea how you affect people's lives, as long as audi keeps making money.

Takata recall- my life is in danger everyday. why audi ignoring the safety of my life by not replacing the bags quickly? it has been too long, and what is taking so long. this is unacceptable.
