The stereo system with the touch screen keeps looping in a reboot. the bright screen flashes on and off and on and off continuously while driving causing a distraction as you are unable to switch off the stereo system.

I have three separate door lock actuaters that have failed or are failing all within a 2 month period with only 51000 miles on the odometer. the front right passenger door will not lock or unlock unless i manually flip the switch, and the front left driver door and left rear passenger door intermittently will not lock or unlock when i use the key fob or when i shift the car into gear. this makes it difficult to know if the car is secured when i park it or when starting to drive, and i am concerned if the rear child safety locks do not function correctly now. i have had the toyota dealership in rochester mn confirmed the need for 3 door lock actuators and are asking for over $1400 for fixing them. i am in touch with toyota north america hoping to be approved for a "goodwill" fix. doing further research online shows two separate law firms investigating this issue as there has been a significant uptick in door lock actuator failures in various toyota vehicles. i believe they are defective.

After just five years of use (and only 28,000 miles), both front door locks have quit working. we have to manually lock and unlock the front doors with the key or from the inside. they occasionally work just often enough for us to think they're working again, then we'll come back to the car and find the front doors didn't lock. not only is this a big annoyance, but it increases the risk of car theft and makes it hard for us to get the doors unlocked with kids or other things in tow. this is way too early for this equipment to be failing.

Upon starting my vehicle i noticed there was no power to my stereo, clock, dome lights (front and back), keyless entry, power locks, and the tpms light is suddenly lit. i have not been able to find any blown fuses.

Touchscreen issue dashboard screen calibration issue. touchscreen issue

I have difficulty when locking/unlocking my vehicle with my remote key fob and main look system from all doors of the vehicle. when the lock/unlock button is pushed on the vehicle's two front doors the driver's side door does not lock with the other doors on the vehicle. the driver side door is the only door that malfunctions all other doors operate efficiently. this locking malfunction occurs when the vehicle is parked. the driver's door can be locked manually by pushing the lock inwards or using the car key to manually lock/unlock the door. please investigate this issue as the vehicle's locking system is a primary concern for the safety of the vehicle, the vehicle's owner, and the owner's property inside the vehicle. my vehicle is approximately 4 years old. i have also spoken with other toyota corolla owners (including year models of 2014 and 2015) who complain of the same issues.

Both the display and functionality of my 2014 corolla's bluetooth radio navigation unit suddenly stopped working and it appears to be in a never-ending reboot cycle. a picture of the unit appears on the screen with a loading bar underneath it as if it's trying to update its software. however, regardless of how far the loading bar gets, the screen will eventually turn black and start the reboot process all over again. this happens continuously without it ever completing the process, rendering my entire bluetooth radio navigation unit completely useless. not even the usb charger or aux input will work. after doing some research it turns out to be a very common issue for 2014 corollas and it largely began happening right after the vehicles' 36 month warranty period ended. i believe toyota has already released a technical service bulletin in regards to the matter (tsb 0172.16). it's also a huge safety issue. i bought this car when i moved to california so that i would have the ability to navigate hands free and safely talk on the phone in emergency situations'per the wireless communications device law in california. now because of this hardware issue, my safety is being jeopardized. also, because the screen is constantly rebooting, it keeps flashing on and off while i am driving'making it a significant distraction when driving at night.

Driver seatbelt not wanting to unlock when pressing red button. also touch screen radio not recognizing touch please fix these issues i see multiple others having same issues!

I turned my corolla with less than 30,000 miles on it, and the radio does not turn on or work. it shows a picture of a machine of some sort, and looks like it is rebooting, but once the "loading bar" gets to the end, the screen turns black and starts the reboot process over again. this happens continuously without ever completeing a reboot. the navigation, radio, blue tooth, cd player, or anything that is done through the radio screen is not functional.

The maintenance light stays on and won't reset after the 15000 mile oil change. after 16000 miles the horn stopped working. at 16900 miles on 08/07/2018 the driver airbag light came on and stayed on, and the steering wheel cover where the airbag is is loose. the brakes and alignment have been checked and are good, but sometimes the wheels lock and the car doesn't brake well, as if the antilock system stopped working.

The front doors no longer lock by pressing the button on the door. the driver side door does not lock at all, even if the lock is pressed by hand. it started doing it every few days, but now the doors have stopped altogether. we were able to find out that the actuators are faulty. the car is a 2014 and the problem is something we had no control over. there are reports of this happening to other people with 2014 corollas as well. this is a major safety issue.

The display screen for the radio, navigation, maintenance reminders, hands free phone use, back-up camera, etc. suddenly stopped working when started my car. the screen only shows an icon with a status bar that makes it appear that the computer that operates this system is trying to restart. the screen its self works, but the computer won't boot-up. this is distracting while driving, and prevents the use of all the safety features that rely on it's function. i have done extensive reading on the internet and have found that this is a common problem in 2014-2016 toyota vehicles that have the premium entune system with navigation. they admittedly state that the fugitsu component is faulty and they have sense started using a panasonic unit to avoid future problems. toyota prices the replacement part at $3450. this is unacceptable, when they know that the problem is not the fault of the car owner, but rather a faulty part that was used during the manufacture of the vehicle. according to the post of one toyota technician, toyota has replaced 1 million of these units, but unless the vehicle is still under warranty they refuse to cover the repair cost because toyota does not think this malfunction is a safety issue a recall or warranty extension has not been issued. i think it is a safety issue when the hands-free function does not work and the reverse camera does not work. also an inoperable navigation system could be a safety issue too. i have tried to reset the radio, do a hard reset by holding the power button and disconnecting the battery. nothing works. i called toyota and they quoted me more than $3600 for the repair. this is unacceptable.

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 toyota corolla. the contact received notification of an unknown manufacturer recall regarding the power train; however, the remedy was not available to provide the software update according to the dealer (round rock toyota, 2307 i-35, round rock, tx 78664, (512) 904-6700). the contact waited beyond a reasonable timeframe and was uncertain of when the manufacturer would provide the manufacturer recall repair. the manufacturer was contacted. the contact had not experienced a failure. *tt *tr

Touch screen stereo went out. had to replace

The complaint is with the radio. the car was in motion on the street when it all of a sudden restarted itself. i thought nothing of it only because it has happened before except everything went back to normal and worked properly. but now after that has happened it doesn't stop doing that. it didnt even fully restart itself. it just keeps restarting to where i can't use the radio, navigation or anything not even the aux cord or usb port to play any music of some sort. i have tried parking and let it do its thing and nothing it still continues to restart.

The radio and gps system does not work any more, the system tries to load and all of sudden stops and starts again. apparently lots of people have the same issue.

Audio/navigational unit is not functional, rendering all features (other than actual mobility) non-functional - i travel/live in a hands free city/state, and specifically purchase this vehicle for audio/navigational unit and the blue tooth technology. also, flashes light uncontrollably while it constantly reboots (distraction - especially at night and during inclement weather). cannot access diagnostic information on vehicle (tires, engine, etc.) as promoted/promised from entune software. toyota has a known issue but will not replace the unit (t-sb 0172.16) and states it was due to warranty expiration, but never notified customer (i.e. me) about issue even when i reached out to toyota to resolve. even when i notified a local service/dealership, they ignored my safety concerns. originally toyota said they would help (september), now (december) they are stating they will not.

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 toyota corolla. while driving at unknown speeds, the steering wheel seized and the instrument panel illuminated. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the failure was unable to be duplicated. the manufacturer was unaware of the failure. the vin and failure mileage were unavailable.

Power door lock actuators have failed on the driver and front passenger doors. upon searching online, i found that there is a widespread, ongoing problem with toyota/lexus power door lock actuators failing early in the vehicles lifetime.

Power steering stops working while driving, in motion, on city streets. *tr

Driver and passenger side locks get stuck when using the beeper or the door buttons, trying to lock or unlock them. i thought it was the beeper but it doesn't even lock/unlock using the doors buttons. i already know toyota corolla owners who have the lock stuck problem, so this is not only my car, but there's more cars with the same problem.

I was parked in the underground parking at the north west corner of amherst ave and santa monica blvd in los angeles. i was exiting driving up the very narrow exit ramp. 1.the one way exit to the lot curves and is very narrow. as i navigated the narrow exit, i felt that i was almost touching the wall on the right side. 2.i applied the brakes and put the car in reverse in order to get away from the wall. however, the brakes did not respond and the car rolled backwards around the bend, hitting the wall behind me. the car came to a complete stop. 3.applying the brakes had no impact on the car neither decelerating nor accelerating. this shows that the brakes definitely did not work. 4.with my foot on the brakes, i put the car in drive. at no time did i press the accelerator pedal. i would have heard the engine. the instant i shifted to drive, the car lunged forward at a very high rate of speed. consequentially, my car zoomed up the driveway into the ground level parking facing west. within a second or so, my car collided with another car, parked facing west in front of pizza hut. due to the force of the impact at such a high rate of speed, the parked hyundai superseded the concrete parking barrier crashing into pizza hut, shattering the store front window. 5.my car was thankfully stopped due to impact with the hyundai on the right side of my vehicle and a low wall on the left side.

The low beam part of the headlight assembly in the corolla sports 2014 is irreplaceable. i have seen multiple corolla 2014s on the road with atleast 1 of the lowbeam headlights not working and it could be a problem either with the electrical system or the wiring must be getting pinched as it has no guard from getting pinched if it's harnessed via the front of the car near the bumper. i am personally trying to fight this problem but the dealership will not help me.

Good afternoon, on behalf of my brother [xxx] i am submitting a faulty eco boost light fixture. the wiring is and has been off before the warranty was expired. honestly as the concern about global emissions being revised and edited daily, smog is a concern that i am attenuated for as the growth of trees out locally is still a photosynthetic process. there are quite a few other service recalls that may be in need of addressing for this model. 2014 corolla. locks will get stuck between open and close when using remote control. this is a flaw in the lock mechanism. happens to me once a month and the only way to open it is with a key.

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 toyota corolla. while driving approximately 15 mph and attempting to accelerate, the engine warning light illuminated and the vehicle began to decelerate. the contact had to gently depress the accelerator pedal in order to increase the speed; however, when the accelerator pedal was depressed with force, the vehicle's speed decreased. the failure recurred on several occasions. the vehicle was taken to the dealer and was diagnosed that the ecm software needed to be updated. the software was updated. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 27,500.

Vehicle stalls. after putting vehicle in reverse and backing out of parking spot, vehicle stalled. after restarting and pulling back into parking spot vehicle stalled. i shut car off and restarted in park and after 5 seconds vehicle stalled again. car had to be towed and rental car was necessary to get home. toyota rep said that it was the computer. either had to be updated or rebooted (dtc p2645 and or p265b were documented as the cause). *tr

Vehicle doors would not unlock after pumping gas at station. vehicle was not started at the time and keys were in car (key-less system which is supposed to automatically unlock doors when keys are in vehicle). after attempting to open the driver side door without success, the passenger door did the same. after a few minutes of waiting the passenger door finally unlocked. the vehicle started however, there was a smell of gasoline coming from the vents. the air conditioner also stopped working. when the button for venting outside/inside was switch to outside air, the gasoline smell dissipated. when i pressed inside air the strong smell of gasoline occurred again. after approximately 20 minutes, the air conditioner began to work and shortly there after the smell of gasoline resolved. after a few hours the headache from gasoline inhalation went away. *tr

2014 corolla with the premium wheels (black and silver). the tires loose tire pressure faster than any other car requiring me to add air every month. they loose 3-6 psi each month and the weather +/- 10 degrees change accounts for 1 psi loss rule doesn't fit because its always 90f in florida. this is an issue for everyone because we typically don't check tire pressure more frequent than 4 x a year for each season. not sure if this happens to those with the regular rims but i have the sport toyota rims that came with the s plus trim.

Tl- the contact owns a 2014 toyota corolla. the contact stated that while traveling various speeds, the vehicle suddenly lost acceleration power then stalled. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was found that the computer software needed to be updated. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was contacted about the failure. the failure mileage was 2,000. mh

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 toyota corolla. the contact stated that while parking, he noticed white smoke was emitting from the rear of the window. the fire department was contacted and a report was filed. the vehicle was taken to the dealer. the technician verified that a wiring harness was burning by the passenger side tail light. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure who decided to send out an engineer to inspect the vehicle. the engineer was unable to determine what caused the failure. the vehicle was repaired. the failure and current mileage was 1,007.

I was not familiar with the light switch on the vehicle that i had just purchased and believed that i had turned on the lights of my vehicle. in reality i was driving with the taillights off because the light switch was in the "dlr" position. (the light switch is behind the steering wheel with small letters that can't be read in the dark). there is no indication that the taillights are off when the switch is in this position. the headlights are on as well as the instrument panel illumination. since then i have seen the same vehicle / model year driving without taillights in the middle of the night in approximately 5 occasions. i believe that sooner or later this design flaw will cause accidents. *tr

Toyota redesigned the instrument panel and went from a single clear cover angled towards the front to 2 separate instrument covers angled towards the left and right side. the design of these covers results in extreme reflections making it impossible to read the speedometer during morning and afternoon hours when the sun enters the vehicle from the side. the reflections under these conditions are so extreme that i can't even see the speedometer needle. tinting the windows did not resolve the problem. toyota's service department told me that they are not able to fix the issue. on july, 03, 2014 i had to guess my speed because the speedometer was unreadable. i received a speeding ticket saying that i was going at a speed which would make it impossible to avoid a collision. i have driven over 20 different cars in my life and never had a situation where i was not able to read the speedometer, even in my 1968 oldsmobile. to my understanding, a car manufacturer has to design the speedometer the way that it can be read under any conditions which is possible. it appears that toyota's engineers totally neglected the problem of sunlight reflections when designing the 2014 corolla instrument panel. *tr
