Takata recall i have received an "important safety recall" for my toyota corolla 2012 saying that there is no current remedy. information online indicates that the airbag problem was identified january 9. there is no indication of the timeframe of a remedy, and there's no offer to disconnect the passenger airbag. the letter suggests that i not allow anyone to ride in the passenger seat until i hear from them. an offer to disconnect the passenger side airbag in the interim would have made more sense. i'll be pursuing that with a local dealership, but it should have been offered considering the danger is possible "serious injury or death."

Takata recall i live in mississippi (a very humid climate) and purchased this car in florida (another very humid climate), which makes the takate recall especially dangerous for me and my family. this car is our family's primary car, and we can't go "until further notice" without someone riding in the passenger's seat. we need it fixed immediately, or for toyota to pay for a safe rental until they can fix the problem.

Takata recall: in the middle of february 2017, toyota sent me a recall notice with warning not to let anyone ride in the front passenger seat but had no solution and would let me know when they did. nhtsa phone line says the recall also involves the driver side, which makes me a canidate for possible death! it has been 9 months and now the airbag company is filling chapter 11. i have not received any notice from takata for settlement.

Takata recall in february 2017, i received a safety recall notice from toyota. i was informed that toyota was preparing a remedy and would send a second notice when a remedy becomes available. nine months later--no second notification has been received, and my dealership, in august, said it has not received repair parts. as instructed by toyota, i have not allowed riders in my front passenger seat. for nine month, limiting the number of passengers who can be transported is a considerable inconvenience.

Takata recall: i am writing regarding the timeframe which toyota has given for repair of my airbag. after receiving the notice in february 2017 that my vehicle was part of the recall, toyota informed me that i would not have the airbag repaired until december 2017. additionally, when i contacted toyota about the replacement airbag or repair, i was told the parts will not be available until december 2017 but that i should not have anyone ride in my front seat until after the airbag was replaced/repaired. i feel this is an inconvenience particularly since i have to make payments on my vehicle that i am unable to fully use and enjoy. thankfully, i have not been involved in any accidents but as the driver i am very concerned about my safety as well.

Takata recall i have called toyota dealership several times to have this repaired. i was told 3 months ago my vehicle wasn't up for repair yet. called again and was told not until maybe december. this is our only vehicle. if its this dangerous i won't this fixed before any injury or death to take place. we are still making payments on this vehicle. this recall is almost a year old.

The time frame given to fix this recall is unacceptable (december 2017 or later because i have moved) have need of my vehicle for work and transporting individuals.

Takata recall - i contacted my local toyota dealerships and the replacement airbags are still not available without an eta. this is disappointing as i travel a lot, while being concerned about my passenger seat driver's safety. i would like to know if this replacement can be expedited to ensure driver safety.

Takata recall. my vehicle is in the this recall and i have gone to the dealer and they said that it wasn't a remedy yet for the air? i have waited a while. i was wondering when toyota is going to find a remedy for this situation?

Takata recall i have contacted jeff hunter toyota in waco tx on numerous occasions since the first recall notification in maybe february 2016. i always get another excuse for not fixing the recalled air bags. several times it was they didn't have the part then it was the hurricane. i am driving a potentially deadly vehicle and i now want this resolved immediately. i fear for my safety but i need my vehicle for work and would prefer that i use a loaner or rental car at their expense until this is resolved.

Takata recall - recall is taking way too long. toyota can't expect a family of 4 to have no one sit in the front passenger seat for nearly a year. people pay good money for their vehicles and its safety features. it shouldn't take so long for a remedy to be available for buyers.

Airbag recall. i received a recall notice back in february of 2017 stating that my airbags were being recalled due to the possibility of a defect in manufacturing that may lead to shrapnel being fired out during airbag deployment, which may seriously injure or kill passenger. the letter also states that i would receive follow up when the part would be replaced, and in the meantime, to not let anyone sit in the passenger seat. it has been 6 months and i have not heard a word. i drive a corolla, not allowing someone to sit in the passenger seat is not really a solution.

Takata recall. recall came out in january and inflator still not replaced. my 4 seat call has been changed to a 3 seat car. this is not why i bought this car. i want the inflator replaced asap.

Takata recall issued january 2017 have heard nothing 8 months later from toyota or takata. i feel 8 months a reasonable time to be concerned that nothing is being done for safety sake of me, the driver or anyone elapse in my car if the air bag deploys! i live in florida with high temperatures and humidity which are hard on the mechanism of the air bags
