Takata recall - i received a notice that my airbags were being recalled and would get additional information in the future. i did not receive any news for a month or so and decided to call. i am being told the target for my replacement is december 2017. it maybe sooner or later depending on the supply of parts. they also advised me not to have a front passenger in the vehicle. this seems like an unrealistic ask of most people who own a four door car. what are may options in this situation?

Takata recall i was not notified by toyota about this recall until the first week of march, yet when i logged onto your site i see the recall has been known about since january. also the notice says that there is no current remedy and toyota advises to not have any passengers in my front seat until they have a remedy. as a family man, i constantly have people in all seats of my vehicle. toyota failing to offer a rental or other means to assist with protecting their customer's safety not acceptable. i do not see myself ever purchasing another toyota due to their lack of customer appreciation and focus.
Taka recall. i recently received notification from toyota concerning the safety call on my front passenger airbag. i do not feel the manufacturer promptly notified consumers of the issue and it appears they do not have a solution for consumers.
Takata recall as there have already been 11 verified deaths, and takata has pled guilty to deceiving the general public, i have found that my car is under this recall. however, it states that there is no fix yet. i drive my car every day to work, with my children and grandchildren. there are precious lives at stake. i need this addressed and fixed now! not later!
Takata recall. i received my recall form on february 2017 and they say that they are not going to have a remedy for my car until december 2017. i cannot take anybody on the passenger seat, which is really inconvenient.
Takata recall: looks like nhtsa determined on jan 9, 2017 that my car toyota corolla was unsafe to drive. i was notified only in march, 2017 of this safety issue. this is not timely notification. further, i need the passenger seat to be safe -- and toyota has refused to provide a timeframe or a loaner vehicle during the time that this car is not fixed. this is unacceptable. also, looking online, looks like takata airbags have had issues for multiple years and no effort was undertaken to evaluate safety of my vehicle before jan 2017 which in it of itself is very concerning. i wanted to sell my car in this month and replace another car, and due to this recall, i can no longer sell the car due to drop in value. i'd like the manufacturer to repair the car within 1-2 weeks or purchase the car back from me. nothing has happened to the car or no accident has happened.

Takata recall- i do not think it is ethical for toyota to not have the replacement parts available in a timely manner. i received notice on 3/3/17 but there are no available parts at my local dealer. i have been advised that perhaps there will be in april. it is a burden to not be able to put someone in the passenger seat. in addition, it seems that if activating the passenger side air bag can cause metal fragments to strike the passenger the fragments could also travel and strike the driver and/or other car occupants.
Takata recall i received a recall notice about the takata airbag and i spoke eddie, the night service manager at marina del rey toyota and he says there is nothing he can do right now because there is no part number for the replacement. toyota does not have a remedy. the notice says there's a risk that "in the event of an inflator rupture, metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material, striking the vehicle occupants, and result in serious injury or death." this recall was issued on january 9, 2017, it's almost two months old and i just received the notice. on top of that it's completely unacceptable that toyota does not have a remedy after almost 2 months. i would like a replacement and fix of this issue asap. please help.

Takata recall - after i called the dealership and looked on the website there will be no remedy until dec. 2017. so, i am not able to fully use my vehicle, but more importantly the airbag issue is dangerous for me as the driver, if the passenger airbag deploys. the mental fragments can fly and hit me or anyone in my back sit! this is a6 from the recall website part of the answer-further, nhtsa has concluded that the non-desiccated frontal takata airbag inflators do not pose an unreasonable risk to safety until they reach a certain level of propellant degradation, which is the result of time, temperature and environmental moisture, which depends on the vehicle's location. -how is toyota 100% confident that this airbag will not deploy when someone is not sitting in the front seat? - there is unknown risk involved according to a6. -how can they guarantee fragments will not go flying and potential harm me or a passenger in the back seat ? i drive my car to work almost 2 to 3 times a week that is an hour and 15mins away and i do not feel comfortable driving this car and waiting until dec for a remedy and i am paying for a car that i don't have a full usage of!! i think it is unreasonable and not safe to wait until then!

Takata recall we received an airbag recall early spring of 2017 around march and we have contacted our local toyota dealership to see when we could take the vehicle in for repairs and have been told that they would contact us when the new inflators would be in stock to do the repairs. it is now august 10 2017 and we still have not heard from them. this is taking a very long time and i am having to put extra miles on our other vehicle to go on family trips/outings because we do not want any passengers in the front seat due to the defect.
Takata front passenger airbag inflator (zone a) i got the recall letter from toyota and every time i called the dealer they tell me that they do not have the airbag to fix my recall.
Takata recall this complaint is related to the fact that i was notified more than six months ago regarding the passenger airbag recall and was initially told by a toyota representative that the airbag would be replaced beginning in spring. it is now december and they finally got the parts in. this was not fixed in a timely manner, causing undue stress.

Takata recall: while we appreciate being contacted about the potentially lethal safety hazard from the takata air bags in our toyota, it's unacceptable to be told not to have anyone sit in the front passenger seat until a fix is made available. the dangers of the takaga bags have been known for many months, if not more than a year. why is it taking so long to arrange for a replacement? no time frame has been provided as to how long we must wait, while we can't carry around a front passenger. my wife and i commute to work everyday. one of us is supposed to sit in the back seat? we have children we must taxi around. since most cars are not affected by this recall, then surely there are other, safe air bags available, which toyota could install immediately. when a safety recall occurs, you should be able to take your car in right away and get it fixed, not wait some undetermined time down the road. why isn't toyota required to resolve this matter right away?
Takata recall. yesterday, i received the notice from toyota regarding my vehicle's possible defective takata airbag. it recommends that until toyota can replace the airbag, that i should allow anyone to ride in the front passenger seat. toyota's recommendation is totally unacceptable and should not waive its responsibility to its customers. toyota has known about the takata airbag issue since at least 2015, so it is unclear why they cannot aggressively replace their customers' airbag immediately two years later. to suggest i should not use one of the seats in my vehicle, particularly with a family of four, seems completely unreasonable. i'm very disappointed in toyota, and i hope that the company will make more of an effort to take care of their customers in the future.
Tamara recall. i received a notice to not have anyone in the passenger seat until the recall is completed. i explained that the car is useless since i cannot fit me my wife and two kids in car seats into the car without using the front seat. this is ridiculous to not have a repair for a car and be told not to use a car i paid a lot of money for with no remedy from the manufacturer.
