We have classified the 60 complaints from 2009 Toyota Corolla about SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC into the following categories.
Abs and brake light turned on together. this is turning out to be a very common issue which is due to the corrosion of the sensors on the rare wheels. with abs light turned on, the vehicle is incapable of applying abs when required during brake, creating a high safety concern. *tr
I have had this corolla for about 3 years, average about 700 miles per week - drive it daily. i have had no significant issues with it until the past month or so in which i have experienced two "sudden acceleration" events. in both cases i was traveling at a very low speed, about 10 mph or so in parking lots. while coasting / braking with my foot on the brake pedal, suddenly it was as if the brake pedal turned into an accelerator pedal! i felt all of the back-pressure the brake pedal normally has leave and it went almost completely down to the floor. at the very same instant the engine revved and began to accelerate and the car "leaped" forward. in both cases this lasted only a few seconds then things went back to normal. there were no indicator lights on the panel warning of anything wrong. in both cases my foot was clearly on the brake pedal and nowhere near the accelerator pedal. i visually inspected the floor mat and there was absolutely no interference between it and the accelerator pedal. this car has already had all of toyota's "recall" remedies applied to it and could be easily ascertained by examining the maintenance records at butler toyota of macon, georgia. i would like it if someone could examine the car's computer (not the toyota people for obvious reasons)to see if these events were recorded or not. until now i have liked this car very much in every way. however, considering all of the recent reports and now my personal experiences twice i am very much concerned about the car's safety. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2009 toyota corolla. the contact was driving 55 mph when the brakes were applied but the brakes did not respond and the vehicle abnormally accelerated. the front tires released smoked and the vehicle was turned around several times before coming to a stop in a dirt area. the front tires, rotors and cables were damaged. the vehicle was taken to the dealer who performed a diagnostic and located the failure at the accelerator pedal. the vehicle was repaired. the dealer modified the accelerator, replaced the rotors and the cables. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure and the current mileage was 124,000.
The accident with my 2009 toyota corolla i believe is due to brake failure. this vehicle has many feature that were supposed to react in situations of minor ice and/or sliding. the sliding light, or "vsc/trac indicator" (pg. 158 of owner's manual), comes on even when the vehicle slides. even when the car slides so slightly that you cannot feel it, that light would come on to warn the driver of the potential hazard, according to the manual "if the vehicle is in danger of slipping or the front wheels spin, the indicator flashes to indicate that the vsc/trac have been engaged. a buzzer (intermittent) sounds to indicate that vsc is operating." the car was also equipped with antilock brakes. as i was trying to slow down, i could instantly tell my brakes were not responding. i hit them harder, still no response. i had both feet on the brakes pushing down with all my force & still felt and heard nothing from the car. usually in such case, even if the vehicle is slipping, the driver should hear a tripping noise, that the antilock breaks are responding or at least attempting to. but none of that happened. the sliding light did not turn on, the car did not react to me hitting the brakes or even show any signs of struggling to, & the antilock brakes did not engage. also, i just had 4 new michelin hydroedge tires installed just a few weeks prior, (ranked #1 by consumer report), making me believe that the brakes were solely responsible. lastly, the car has been well-maintained since it was originally purchased from the dealer, & all maintenance has been done only at a toyota dealership, including a 27 point inspection with every oil change, & all records of such are available. i understand of course that ice trumps all, including vehicle safety measures, but i still believe strongly that the car did not react as it should have on a mechanical and technical level whatsoever. *tr
Bought used 2009 toyota corolla (5 speed manual clutch) vehicle in mid 2011. noticed that the gas pedal, brake and clutch are oddly very close, and gas pedal seems to stick, which seems to cause error in shifting/ acceleration/ de-acceleration, especially when using in between gears. not sure what that is all about, or whether or not there has been a prior complaint about this or recall, but i think it should be brought to the attention and fixed by toyota for safety reasons. *tr
I was currently on 1 and 9 north of jersey city nj. i was on a stop light and when it turned green, the car did not accelerate as much as it was suppose to when you press on gas pedal. it was literally moving 5 miles per hour. i was pressing the gas pedal for the car to go but it was still not even moving up. i turned on the hazards and pulled over. then the check engine light came on. i turned off the car first. i checked the gas tank and the engine but i couldn't find anything wrong with it. the check engine light was lit until the next day. i brought it to the car dealership and they said they are not 100% sure what is wrong with it but they disconnected the alarm wire to see if that was the problem. the second problem of this car is when you press on the brake, it still moves a little bit. when you start going and pressing on the gas pedal, you have to press on it harder for it to go but it gases up than it normally does. i have recently saw the previous owners receipts for its car service and he had the same problem. he always had to fix the accelerator but until now, it is still the same and still needs to be fixed. i don't know what to do and where to go to fix this problem.
I have a 2009 toyota corolla le that i purchased a month ago and is still under factory warranty. a few days ago i went to stop my vehicle and the brake pedal went all the way flush to the ground. there was not any resistance at all and was forced to use the emergency brake to prevent a collision. had car towed to the toyota dealership and two days later they are informing me that they are unable to find anything wrong with the breaks. i purchased this vehicle for my 17 year old daughter to drive to school and am very weary about being told that nothing is wrong with the vehicle. i then began to research on the computer to see if this might be a recalled item or if anyone else has had this similar problem. well sure enough there have been several toyota corolla owners with the same year that have had the same problem that i experienced. i would appreciate if someone could check into this for not only me but for everyone's safety. *tr

On january12, 2011 at 3:45pm my daughter was driving home from school and up the driveway to park. her 2009 toyota corolla would not stop and it drove through a flower bed and into our home. there was extensive damage to her vehicle as well as our home. the air beg did not deploy and she was not injured. she called me immediately and said "daddy... the car would not stop". she told me that she was depressing the brake with one foot and then both feet in an effort to get the car to stop.the toyota corolla accelerator and brake issue are more than a coincidence.if my daughter is innocent of negligence, i would like to make those who are responsible pay for the damages that we have incurred and clear my daughters name of any wrongdoing. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2009 toyota corolla. the contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer for repairs under nhtsa campaign id number: 09v338000 (service brakes, hydraulic:power assist:vacuum). after repairs, the contact was driving 45 mph and applied the brakes. the vehicle would not respond immediately. the failure occurred constantly. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician stated that the recall repairs would need to be performed a second time but the manufacturer would not cover the costs. the vehicle was not further repaired. the contact had not experienced any brake failure prior to the recall repair. the approximate failure mileage was 10,758.
2009 toyota corolla. consumer states that she pressed the accelerator and the brake pedal at the same time and the vehicle accelerated through a fence. she finally got the vehicle to stop before crashing into the building. *kb the consumer stated he accelerated through a fence causing $7,566.05 in damage to his vehicle. the consumer stated even though the accident was due to driver error, the vehicle was poorly designed. the differential in height between the gas pedal and the brake pedal was 1 to 1. 25 inches when neither was depressed. they can very often be at the same height when both were depressed together which could cause driver confusion as to where the foot would be. to add to the problem, there was a firewall hump 1 inch to the right of the accelerator pedal. this leaves only 5.75 inches between that wall and the right edge of the brake pedal. the consumer stated there was not enough space to maneuver his foot. *jb
My 2009 toyota corolla sport has been having brake issues since i bought the vehicle about 3 months ago brand new with only 6 miles on it. it started with brake noises. both me and my girlfriend heard them. we are not deaf. i took my toyota in for service on the problem twice and both times they said nothing was wrong with my vehicle. the past week i've noticed the breaking has been really difficult and you have to push down hard to stop the vehicle. so today; my third brake complaint they told me i need new rotors and that the pads are worn down the metal on metal and that the rotors were "glazed" over from the extreme heat. new rotors and third set of brake pads at 11,000 miles? never heard of it! somethings wrong and toyota will not admit it. *tr
Tl*-the contact owns a 2009 toyota corolla. the contact was driving approximately 2 mph in the reverse position. when pressure was applied to the brake pedal the vehicle stalled unexpectedly. the contact stated the failure experienced was associated with the recall defect under nhtsa campaign id number 09v338000 (service brakes, hydraulic: power assist:vacuum ). the vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired at the time of the complaint. the current and failure mileages were 26,000.
I experienced a failure of the brakes in my 2009 toyota corolla s. i was pulling out of the parking lot at work today and approaching a busy road to turn right onto. approaching the turn at about 5 mph, i pushed the brake pedal lightly to gradually slow down to a stop to avoid entering the road into oncoming traffic. however, when the brake pedal was pushed, i heard a grinding noise and the car did not decelerate at all. it may have been the abs activating, despite the low speed and light pressure on the brake pedal. i tried applying more pressure to the brake, but there was still no deceleration. only when i released the brakes completely (which is very hard to do when you're about to drive into oncoming traffic) and reapplied pressure to the brake pedal did the brakes engage and the vehicle stop. this is the first time i have had an issue with the brakes in nearly 20,000 miles of driving this vehicle. *tr
Tl*the contact owns a 2009 toyota corolla le. the contact stated that the driver of the vehicle noticed that the brakes were not engaging as normal and also began to "chatter" when she pressed down on the brake pedal. to avoid an accident, the driver had to pull close to a median on her left side because the brakes did not stop the vehicle as expected. the contact was not present during this incident which was the first failure regarding the brakes. the contact had not spoken with the dealer or the manufacturer to-date. the vehicle had not been repaired at the time of the complaint. the current and failure mileages were approximately 24,000. updated 07/19/10 *bf updated 07/21/10.*jb

On march 8, 2010 i was driving my 2009 toyota corolla, of which i am the first owner. i was going about 35 mph and i pressed the gas pedal to accelerate to about 45 mph. then i released the gas and pressed on the brake pedal but the car did not slow down, but kept going 45. after a few seconds of pressing hard on the brakes, i pulled the handbrake and shifted the car into park. the car slowed down and eventually stopped. i then called a towing company and had the car towed to a dealership. they inspected the car and found nothing wrong. this problem has not occurred since. *tr
I have noticed that my brakes on my 2009 toyota corolla s have been not as responsive as i would assume or want them to be. this is especially noticeable when it is rainy or wet, or even damp outside. i began to notice that when it was wet my brakes sound like they are grinding when i stop and stopping distance is significantly elongated. finally on one rainy day my brakes failed as i crashed into the person in front of me. in any usual circumstance i would have had enough time to completely stop, however my brakes completely depressed to the ground and felt that they hardly slowed my car, resulting in damage to my car and injury to myself. i have brought my corolla into a toyota dealership to have the breaks looked at and they said they were completely fine, however they were unable to reproduce the circumstance under which my brakes failed, therefore resulting in them saying there was no issue with the brakes. i have had all of the recalls done on my car and i still notice that the brakes are not functioning as they should. *tr
Month: february and march 2010 weather: dry roads speed: less than 35mph on two occurrences, i tried to brake to stop my car. the brakes made a very loud grinding noise, and the car did not slow down. i released the brake and then pressed it all the way to the floor, at which point the car stopped. i called the dealership and they seemed very unconcerned about it. i am scared to drive my car. *tr
2009 toyota corolla car was recalled for brake problem. when i have the below problem, the brakes will not stop the car. engine revs up for no reason when the car is stopped. in my case, all engine speed ups occurred when i was stopped, and my foot was on the brake. it has happened about 10 times since i have owned the car. the last time it occurred, i was stopped at a stop sign, and the engine sped up and forced me into the intersection, where i ran into the side of a pickup. the engine has sped up when i first started the car, and the car was in park, and my foot on the brake. toyota has looked at my car and said there is nothing wrong with it. toyota said that i had an after market floor mat on the drivers side and that is a no/no. when the engine sped up with me driving, there was no mat on the driver side floor, except the toyota mat and it was restrained by the clips. do car manufactures ever look at comments made my their customers? in my case, i was told no. *tr
I've had two recalls done on my 209 corolla. the accelerator and the brakes. i've noticed that my gas pedal makes this whistle every time i accelerate. shortly, after the brake recall i've noticed a difference in my brakes. the brake was mushy, i had to press harder on the brake just to come to a complete stop, and when step on the brakes, its not smooth and my car would pull forward. i went back to toyota services to recheck my brakes only 4-6 days after i had the brake recall done. they said, they could not find anything wrong with my brakes. its been 5 days since the last visit and i just recently reared ended someone. luckily it was just a fender bender but i was lucky enough that it was nothing serious. the lady who i had reared ended had a 8-11 month child with her. i knew my brakes felt different, i knew there was something wrong but toyota failed to see that. i am really upset with toyota. i could of lost my life along with the lady and her infant. *tr
Tl*the contact owns a 2009 toyota corolla. while the vehicle was traveling at a speed of 40 mph the contact applied the brakes and noticed a loud noise coming from the bottom of the vehicle. the vehicle has not been diagnosed by the dealer. prior to the recent failure, the vehicle was taken to the dealership where nhtsa campaign id number 10v023000 (vehicle speed control, accelerator pedal vehicle speed control, accelerator pedal) was performed on the vehicle. the current and failure mileages were 2684.
I purchased a 2009 toyota corolla in january 2009. i thought the brakes were a little sluggish and expressed that to the salesman. he said they were fine so i thought i just needed to get used to them. i had no other problem in 2009. in january of 2010, on two occasions, i experienced episodes in which the brakes failed. the problem was that they would hold and then slip several times before the car came to a stop. on at least one of these occasions, i thought i heard the engine racing while the brakes were being applied. after i heard about the corolla recall, i took my car into the dealership where i had purchased it and was told that my car was not subject to the recall. i did not understand this but asked them to keep the car until they could find and fix the cause of the malfunction because i considered the car to be a death trap. this was in february 2010 and i reported to them exactly what i have now reported to you. after about two weeks they called and told me my car was "all set." when i picked up the car, they gave me an invoice which said they had taken it for a couple of test drives, checked the codes, and found no evidence of the acceleration problem despite the fact that i had told them it was a brake problem. on 2/25/10, i applied the brakes as i approached a red light and the brakes did not respond. i do not know whether the car accelerated but i do know that it did not slow down. consequently, i rear-ended the vehicle in front of me and my vehicle was badly damaged. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2009 toyota corolla. the contact stated while driving 35 mph and then applying the brakes the vehicle did not stop causing the vehicle to crash into another vehicle. the contact hit her head on the driver side window due to the air bags not deploying. the contact went to the emergency room. the vehicle was towed. the contact stated the faulty brakes are due to the recall repair for the accelerator pedal that was performed on her vehicle. the failure mileage was 11,500.
Tl*the contact owns a 2009 toyota corolla. while driving 35 mph, the contact noticed that all of the warning lights appeared on the instrument panel and remained illuminated. the vehicle was driven to the dealer who repaired the vehicle so that the warning lights were no longer illuminated; however, within a week the failure recurred. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer who stated that the abs needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not inspected when the complaint was filed. the failure mileage was 10,000.
Tl*the contact owns a 2009 toyota corolla. the contact received a recall letter pertaining to the service brakes (nhtsa campaign id number: 09v338000, service brakes, hydraulic:power assist:vacuum) and took the vehicle into the dealer for the necessary repairs. three weeks later, while driving at speeds of 25 mph the contact depressed the brakes due to the preceding vehicle utilizing its brakes. the brake pedal went down into the floor board and would not engage. he then crashed into the rear of the preceding vehicle causing moderate damage to the preceding vehicle, which was a larger pickup truck. the police arrived to the scene and a report was filed. there were no injuries to any of the vehicle occupants. the dealer was contacted and referred her to the manufacturer for further assistance. the manufacturer was contacted, however they were not receiving any incoming calls. to date, she was awaiting a call back from the manufacturer. the vehicle was destroyed. the vin was not available. the failure and current mileages were approximately 15,000.
Tl*the contact owns a 2009 toyota corolla. the contact was driving approximately 40 mph slight pressure was applied to the accelerator pedal which caused the speed rate to increase rapidly; and upon release of the accelerator pedal a rapid decrease occurred. there was prior recall repair performed on the vehicle before the failure. the nhtsa campaign id number was unknown. additionally, a loud grinding noise came from the front end of the vehicle when the brake pedal was engaged. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and informed that there was no problem with the vehicle and to increase the sound of the radio louder while driving to avoid the grinding noise. the failure mileage was 34,000. the current mileage was 35,800.

Just got my recalled toyota 09 gas pedal fixed ( 02/03/10) and ran through a red light (02/08/10) due to brakes not working and sudden acceleration of vehicle. luckily there wasn't a car in front of me or anyone going through the intersection. i was not driving very fast and tried to stop at light, i was pushing the brake pedal and it just felt like it wasn't grabbing and i had it pushed to the floor and then my car made an accelerating sound like i revved it up and i went through the intersection. *cn
My car is a 2009 toyota corolla which is on the recall list. i had gone to them two day before the actual recall, because each time i would encounter a down slope or go down a hill, my car would sound like it was idling up and grinding as if it wanted to take off. it had been service a week before this happened; however, the sound of my brakes scared me so i took it back in twice. they still insisted nothing was wrong with it. then, i took it back the next day after the recall, and i was treated very rudely by the service people as well as the service manager. nothing has been done since then. i drive it daily with a prayer, because i was told that if my vin number begin with a "j" it is not on the recall list. however, i am very afraid or paranoid about driving it daily and especially on rainy days. when it rains my brakes squeak and sound as if they or letting out air or a balloon being rubbed against your hand. i have called several times and received no response. i have never had any problems with universal toyota until now. i was a faithful customer who has had six toyota cars that i thoroughly enjoyed, but this situation has cause me to consider other options. i am unsure of the actual date, but it was definitely the day after the recall. *tr
About 5:30pm on thursday evening (2/4/10), i was driving home n on silver lake blvd & 36 st. it was lightly snowing, the streets were wet and slippery, and i was driving under 15/mph going downhill. as i pressed the brakes, the car went faster, and did not stop until i badly hit the car in front of me and went over the curb. my car is a 2009 toyota corolla. about 2-3 months ago, toyota sent me a recall notice for the brakes, much before the nationwide toyota recall hit the media. and now, even after i did recall a few months ago, this is the second time that such a brake-related incident has happened to me ever since the recall. i feel that this accident is related to another brake defect of the newly-replaced/altered brakes, and would kindly ask for it to be further investigated. *tr
Tl*the contact owns a 2009 toyota corolla. while driving 5 mph with the brake pedal engaged, the vehicle would not stop. the brake pedal began moving back and forth uncontrollably until the contact firmly engaged the brake pedal. the failure has occurred 6 times. the dealer stated that they would repair the accelerator pedal the following day and then diagnose the braking system. the vehicle will be repaired. the failure mileage was 9700 and current mileage was 9740. updated 03/10/10. *lj updated 08/18/10

Complete brake failure (14 months worth) and acceleration over 85-95 mph (with complete brake failure). i was injured at the time of the acceleration incident and the brakes failed completely. it occurred on january 18th, 2010. the car accelerated to 85-95 mph, and the pedal stuck. i had complete brake failure. i did not know what to do, and called my work. they told me to stick the car into neutral, and they connected me to 911. i was injured as my chest hit the steering wheel several times. i am resubmitting this complaint on the 2009 corolla i owned as it looks like the brake failure issue i filed with your agency was never investigated. i looked up the odi number today, and nothing was reported on it for followup. *tr
Tl*the contact owns a 2009 toyota corolla. he stated that the electronic steering wheel became difficult to control and resistant when turning the wheel in either direction. he also stated that the vehicle would bear to the left or right often times without driver intent. the dealer was contacted and they test drove the vehicle with the owner at approximately 35 mph and verified that the failure does exist. when depressing the brakes at various speeds, the brakes would feel as if they were not engaging, then they would immediately respond and lunge the vehicle forward. no repairs were made to correct the failures. the failure and current mileages were under 13,300.
While applying the brakes (2009 toyota corolla le 38,000miles) on the snow or slick condition road the wheels would constantly stop/rotate as soon i would press on the brake pedal and prevented me from stopping until the car slid into a dry spot, curb, or snow bank. it seemed as if the brakes were over sensitive causing the brakes to immediately respond with the constant stop/rotate. for a couple of snow falls (09/10 season) i dealt with this by slowing down and using the brakes way before my intended stops. on 1/7/10 as i was coming over a slight decline i pressed on the brake in response to a van about 150 feet in front of me at a red light which caused the car rear end to whip around to the front across oncoming traffic land into a snow bank. at that point the car was stuck and had to be pulled out. although the tires still had sufficient tread on them (no balding) i replaced all the tires. that stopped the over sensitive reaction with the brakes. *tr
2009 toyota corolla s brakes were failing to stop sound as if brakes were metal to metal. loud grinding nose and uneven contact with brake disc. two accidents were barely avoided because vehicle inability to stop in a reasonable distance. excessive pressure was put on to the pedal to finally bring vehicle to a stop. car was taken to the dealership and a determination was made that the vehicle had over 60%of pad wear left. we immediately took it to an outside mechanic which determined that the rotor had become uneven warped and cupped in several places and the pads deteriorating and were defective. we had both replaced at an expense of over 500.00. *tr

I purchased a 2009 toyota corolla in november 2009. i had issues with the brakes slipping to the floor 2 weeks after purchase. this would happen when i would try to slow the car down or come to a stop. it happened sporadically. i had many near collisions and went off the road into snowbanks several times to avoid hitting other cars. toyota kept saying nothing is wrong with the car after checking the brakes. in september, i took the car in for the hydraulic service brake recall. this did not fix the problem. on december 8 & 9 the brakes went to the floor twice when i tried to stop at stop signs. i almost got killed avoiding other cars at intersections. once again, the dealership tried to duplicate the situation and found nothing wrong with the car. i told them i am terrified to drive an unsafe car which will end up crashing at some point from a faulty brake system. they said they can not do anything. i said the recall part is not effective and the consumers need to be aware. all i asked for was a new corolla and i would continue all my payments. i do not want to drive an unsafe car on the road (nor should other toyota owners). the dealership is in burlington vermont. *tr
Driving north bound on i-90 in lane 2 from the right side, approaching near the north cumberland ave over pass at approximately 50 mph, when it appeared the auto in front was slowing down i applied the brakes and they did not engage or slow the vehicle down. with vehicle 1 rapidly gaining on the auto in front of it, i switched over to lane 1 quickly to avoid striking the vehicle from behind, when the brakes did not stop the vehicle, the speed continued to increase, when it appeared i was going to hit the wall to the right of the safety lane, i cut back into lane 1 and the car, now going at an uncontrollable higher rate of speed, made almost a complete left across all 3 lanes striking vehicle 2 in the 3rd lane on the right rear door, when spinning off of vehicle 2 the left rear of vehicle 1 struck the wall making the vehicle come to a complete stop. *tr

As an owner of 2009 corolla i'm very concerned about recall for brake failure in extremely low temperatures. toyota has limited its recall and repair of this problem only to certain states. i live in nw indiana, less than 4 miles from illinois state line. illinois owners will have their brakes fixed; indiana is not on the list. toyota?s state restriction does not make any sense. nw indiana has the same weather as chicago, il and the same extreme low temperatures. additionally, i conduct a huge portion of my business and personal matters in the state of illinois. i will have to drive my car knowing that brakes can fail on me on any given day with the extreme low temperatures (and we have months of such days ahead). how is toyota allowed to discriminate between states without just cause? we all have a right to drive safe vehicles. what can be done to enforce toyota to correct this problem? *tr
My 2009 toyota corolla has had problems since i bought it in jan. 2009. it was seemed to down shift - they found nothing the horn went out. fixed two wires that were separated, (they said) after the wires were fixed, it left me in the road, stranded. would not start, making a terrible noise. wrecker towed it in. they recalibrated the computer. then i drove it on a trip for the first time since calibration and when i pressed on brake it would rev and seem to speed for a moment. i took it in and nothing found. landers in little rock, ar is where i bought it and take it for service. there are recalls on my 2009 corolla for brake problems, and other model cars of the corolla have been recalled for the surging problem while braking. i'm in a situation to where i'm making a payment on a car that i'm absolutely afraid to drive. please help me. i know they haven't driven the car as i have. they only test drive at their dealership. i'm the one at risk. with them knowing that the 2009 corolla has problems, i feel they are putting me and my family in danger. *tr

I own a 2009 toyota corolla that has been giving me problems since the day one. i have been in the dealership many times for my brake problems and they have been unable to resolve the issue. on sep. 28, 2009 the vehicle was involved in an accident my mother was driving and she says it would not stop. now that i am aware that others are experiencing this problem i am stepping forward to let everyone know that their not alone. *tr
My vehicle was involved in an accident and i belive that the manufacturer was at fault. i had my vehicle inspected for brake problems numerous times by the dealer and it was always said nothing was wrong. well on sep. 22,2009 my mother was driving my car while i was passenger and she says it would not stop. now that i see others are experiencing the same problems i want the manufacturer to be held responsible because i have been dealing with these problems for two years now and it finally seems like something is going to be done about it. it took my car and who knows how many others. i gave the dealership many opportunities to remedy the situation at my expence. *tr
