When the air conditioning compressor is engaged either for air conditioning or defrost it activates a secondary cooling fan on the radiator. this fan started making noise (growling) and vibrating. i initially thought it was the air conditioning compressor. upon presenting this issue to the dealer the service tech. said it was probably the cooling fan. he already knew before he examined the car. once they examined the car they confirmed that is was the fan. cost to me over $1000.00 this noise happened anytime anyplace when the engine was on and the compressor engaged.
The vehicle makes a lot of noise when the ac or heat is turned on. seems to originate from the cooling fans. when the ac or heat is turned off the sound goes off too. it's very loud seems like the fans are going off. makes the noise whether moving or still as long as the ac or heat is on.
Our renter states that the vehicle was great up until the incident. states that they filled the vehicle up with gas around 4pm before parking it just out in front of where they were staying. at 1am they were awoken by a disturbance outside and someone banging on their door telling them they needed to come outside - when he arrived he noticed the vehicle completely engulfed in flames. the fire department arrived but it took almost an hour, per renter, to put out the flames as the vehicle kept leaking gasoline. apparently there is a witness to the beginning of the fire from a [xxx] ([xxx]) who heard the vehicle's horn and observed no one in the vehicle and then there was an "explosion" as it caught fire (potential alarm?) the fire report confirms that our rental vehicle caught fire. they indicate that the fire was "mechanical malfunction" and "unintentional." the vehicle was parked and unoccupied at the time of combustion. *** please contact the adjuster we hired to assist us with this matter. his name is [xxx] with sedgwick claims management services. ...
I don't recall the exact date of the first time i took it. taken the vehicle twice and had to insist multiple times in order for nissan to keep the car and keep testing as well as for them to open a case. the screen for the 2016 pathfinder has turned solid blue a few times but not sure what causes it. dealership blamed the cell phone which i don't believe that to be true. they will not fix it because they say they don't know how to duplicate it so there's nothing than can do. this screen is where clients like myself see the full view of the outside of the vehicle (safety) as well as other parts gps, a/c & heater temperature control, radio channels, weather etc. i refuse to believe no one else has had this issue and i refuse to it's the phones fault (many cell phone users which is a large number would have been sending tons of complaints). i strongly believe it's a nissan issue with the car that i think it's a safety issue if the screen turns blue when backing up
I can not move the shifter out of park. i have to use the release button next to the shifter every time to get it out of park.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 nissan pathfinder. while driving, the vehicle suddenly failed to accelerate; however, the vehicle operated normally while in reverse. after recharging the battery, the vehicle operated normally for several minutes before the failure recurred. the vehicle was towed to keating nissan (333 interstate 45 south, conroe, tx) where it was diagnosed that the alternator was faulty. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided case number: 37487331. the failure mileage was 120,000. the vin was unknown.
Upper intake manifold cracked. this was found out by rough idling, slow acceleration, increased gas usage, and engine light on.
Car constantly stutters, when driving on the highway it feels like when you run out of gas, i've had multiple problems with the mass airflow sensor which is unresolved and unable to be duplicated when needed to be found. the 2 weeks after purchase the fan went out. i've replaced the mass air flow sensor and still same issue. the touch screen goes black and also is no longer working. all problems started right after warranty ended. i've been stranded multiple times in different cities. when the car is stationary and on it blows out white smoke after a certain amount of time. i'm scared to pull out in traffic because the hesitation and the feeling of it going to lose power.
2016 nissan pathfinder, started making loud clanking noises and vibrating in the front of the vehicle when the air conditioning went on. did not matter if the vehicle was stationary or in motion. first noticed after exiting the highway and noticed the temp needle was slowing climbing. the bearing on one of the cooling fans crapped out with only 49,000 miles. was lucky to have caught it before it overheated or blew the motor. an expensive repair not covered by the dealership.
I had 2014 nissan pathfinder and my vehicle was inspected and passed with no issues in june 2019. the day of the accident, i drove all morning with no type of incidents. my niece, who lives on a hill was in the car with me and i picked her that morning from her house. she had to returned to her house later that morning for an item so i drove back up the hill, waited for her in her driveway, left her house and as i was driving down the hill i realized that my brakes was not functioning, my emergency brake light appeared and then all the lights on my dashboard turned on. the emergency brake wasn't working and i couldn't stop the car. i kept pressing my brakes and nothing was happening. it just kept going! at that point, i looked around to see the best place to crash. i came down the hill crossed over one of the main roads and steered my car into a fence and we hit a tree. all of my airbags deployed and i was grateful that both my niece and i had no ...
