on above date i was driving my vehicle down on the hwy slowing down to exit off. i turned on my air conditioning unit and it started to make a hissing noise from underneath the dashboard. i couldn't figure what could have gone since i recently had my vehicle inspected at conocelli nissan on ridge pk. i took my vehicle back in and i was told me air conditioner lines were rusted and leaking. i asked how can that happen? no one could give me an answer. no one understood how my lines rusted on a vehicle that is not that old. i was told nissan is supposed to use rust free lines for the armada's. last year i had to pay for my muffler to be replaced for the same reason. i am being charged a great deal of funds for repairs that can not be explained as to how these things occur, my vehicle is not that old. if you have any answers please let me know. i too like other armada owners has had numerous breaking problem which almost lead to a collision, that ...

I have had a braking problem with my nissan armada for years & years. when driving, the brake light on the dash will come on & when you apply the brakes it will make a grinding noise & barely stop. yesterday, while i was driving 68 mph in the fast lane on the freeway the brake light, vdc light & slip light randomly came on the dash, i had not applied the brakes. i have included a picture of my dash yesterday when this occurred. i knew from experience that i now had compromised braking so i quickly pulled over to the right & got off the freeway at the first exit. my car slowly ground to a stop. it took a much longer distance to stop than it should have. as always, when you turn the car off & restart, it resets, and the brakes work again. whenever i have taken the car in & mentioned this problem they always act as if they have never heard of this problem before. the first time i experienced this was probably when the car was 2 years old & it has happened intermittently ...

On june 6, 2012, while traveling approximately 10 mph i applied the brakes to stop and the pedal hit the floor, there was little or no resistance on the brake pedal and i heard crunching, metal on metal sound. also, the vdc off, slip and abs lights were on. i immediately pulled over, turned the truck off and on to reset it, and it worked, however, i began to travel a few miles and it happened again. i went to a local service station and code c1179 delta stroke sensor popped up. the technician test drove the truck and it ran well with no problems. the truck was fine until june 13, 2012, while leaving the supermarket it happened again. i was traveling no more than 10 mph and the brakes failed. i tried to reset it as i did before, however this time it didn't work. i had to turn the car off and on several times in order for it to reset. once it was reset, i began to drive home and it happened again. so again, i pulled over to reset it and after several attempts it worked. ...

Driving home about 45 mph, the brake light came on. i slowed down for the upcoming red light but the brakes did not work, they went into abs mode so i removed my foot from the pedal, re-applied pressure to the brake pedal and the brakes started pulsing and grinding violently. i could not stop for the red light so i dropped it down into 4th gear and made a hard right turn about 25 mph. thankfully there was little traffic so no accident and no one was hurt. i drove the remaining two miles homes at 25 mph and without using the brakes until i got to my driveway. i applied very light pressure on the brake pedal and little noise but not much stopping power, thankfully my driveway is uphill. when i got home i looked up armada brake failure and realized that there were hundreds of posts dating back to 2004, so this appears to be a common issue with the brake booster and computer. *js
