Traveling on interstate engine suddenly starts to stutter. push down on the gas and there is no power. car cannot go over 40 mph. engine light comes on. take car to my local mechanic. informed that ignition coils #1,2,4 are ruined. they are replaced, 12 hours later ignition coil #2 fails again. mechanic gives me mazda bulletin #01-026/11 calling out issues with pcm and how pcm will cause mis-firing of ignition coils causing the coils to fail prematurely. coil #2 when replaced was charred and split and was leaking oil. mazda would not acknowledge problem and would not replace pcm or damaged coil caused by faulty pcm. *tt
