Airbag light refuses to go off. i've been told the airbag is disabled.

Passenger air bag warning light remains on.

Air bag light is constantly flashing and rendering cruise control useless. everything work as necessary, then one day when attempting to get on highway, i pressed cruise control only for it to flash in the dash panel, then disappear. once off the highway to my destination, i turned the grand cherokee off. when i got back in the vehicle, the airbag light stayed on for at least 15 minutes then shut off. during the time of the air bag light on, i was able to press the cruise control and have it stay on the dash panel, but i still had no use of it. once the air bag light shut off, i then pressed cruise control again just for it to flash on then back off. now the passenger airbag light is flashing or stays illuminated when the vehicle is being used. my jeep just passed 125,000 miles. this shouldn't happen to sucha low mileage vehicle for the age.. who will fix this mess?

Air bag dash light came on and stays on after startup. i took the jeep in to texan : jeep at 18555 59 n humble, texas 77338 to have it checked out on 9/03/16.they said it was not commuticating with the pcm and there was no recall for the airbag problem. so it was not repaired and the air bag light stays on. instead they preformed 3 other saftey recalls they said the jeep needed but air bag problem the would not fix.

Takata recall my 2005 jeep grand cherokee was purchased used from a dealership with "0" open recalls. after owning the vehicle less than 2 months, hit a pot hole and the passengers air bag deactivation light and the airbag light on the instrument panel are both on. in addition, the tire inflation indicator is on and we paid to have a new sensor installed. light is still on-being told there is a malfunction. have read other complaints filed which state both the airbag and tire sensor indicators have come on at the same time.

Noticed the "pass air bag warning light" was staying on all the time. then i received a p41 ignition switch recall. took the car to a chrysler dealer for ignition switch replacement. air bag warning light still stays on after switch replacement. my reasoning is that the air bag warning light originally came on because the original ignition switch was faulty and caused damage to the air bag and/or it's sensor circuitry. is there any recourse under this recall to rectify this air bag warning light problem with hopefully no cost to me.

I have a airbag light that popped on going over a bump down the road.. i have notice this is becoming a problem with most 2005 jeeps

I was leaving the car wash and after putting the grand cherokee in drive with my foot on the brake it accelerated on its own and the brakes were not responsive. unable to stop or slow down, to avoid traffic, i crashed into a stone wall. the car is totaled and i had serious injury to my head as the airbag also did not deploy.

My vehicle was driving fine, then all of the sudden i lost all lights, all ignition, a/c everything except the engine. i lost speedometer airbags. the car acted like it was shut off but the engine was still going. my ignition has had problems since august 2014 and i have been calling my dealer every week to find out about parts. the parts have taken longer than a reasonable time to become available. my car now lights up (every check engine, traction control, seatbelt, oil, airbag, every light on the dash) at least 3 times in a half hour period. was told by the dealer it was due to a faulty ignition. my car will not pass california smog with the check engine light coming on multiple times in my trip anywhere. i was told september 11th they would have the parts available. then it was moved to october 11th. chrysler needs to focus more on their customers safety and reliability of their vehicle. it should not take over a year to replace ignition.

In rush hour traffic, the car would lose power everytime the car came to a stop or idled. 3 days later, the car lost power in speed limit traffic after going over the railroad tracks. since then, it loses power at every stop. if i am not aware, the car rolls into oncoming traffic! i took the car to my nearest dealer. they confirmed that it was the ignition switch that has been recalled and a part hasn't been sent to dealers. i called chrysler and all they did was put me on a list! they apologized for me not having a car to drive and that was it! they would not provide me with a timeline of when the part would be ready. they refused to provide me with a loaner vehicle while it was off the road. i have lost my mode of transportation unless i want to risk my and my family's life, and they say there is nothing they can do even though they are at fault!

2005 jeep grand cherokee. consumer writes in regards to airbag light being on. *smd the consumer was informed the part was not available. the consumer referenced recall # 14v438000, *jb

Air bag warning light first came on intermittently. at one time i could adjust the passenger seat and correct the problem. it now stays on all the time. i see that the 2004 model has a recall, and mine was manufactured in late 2004, but is not on the recall vin list. i did not realize that this may mean the airbag is not functioning at all, but rather thought it was just an electrical problem. the 2005 model should have been included in this recall. this looks like a long standing problem with previous years models and obviously has not been corrected in the 2005 model.

My airbag icon on dashboard used to flash on and off while traveling. it is now on constantly. i have tried moving the seat back and forth to no avail. i understand that my airbag has now been deactivated.

At approximate june 2014 i received a recall notice for the ignition switch. chrysler said approx. delivery of september 2014. i have not heard or received anything since then. my concern other than the unsafe ignition switch situation is that every time i use my jeep, my airbag warning light flashes on and off continuously. as time goes on, the worse it gets. my dealer says he has checked others vehicles with the same problem; his best guess is it's related to the ignition switch. he also said the airbag should be a concern because it may activate at any time...even without an accident! chrysler told me not to be concerned...how can i not be concerned? what else can i do? *tr
