My car seat moved all the forward while driving to work in denver metro'bench and back support both pushed me a few inches from the steering wheel. i had to move my leg with my hand to reach the brake pedal. one week later, my car horn began beeping and would not stop while driving. my vdc and brake lights now stay on constantly because the anti skid does not work'i almost wrecked on a snowy highway. the front tires wear exponentially faster than the back tires. i had blowouts two separate times on the interstate. the front windows are now glued shut because they roll down on their own. the airbag light stays on now too. i realize it's an old car; i bought it for $8,000 4 years ago when it had ~95,000 miles. now it has ~140,000. the level of quick decline is truly frightening though. i don't drive my 2003 infinit g35 any more and am apprehensive to sell it to anyone else. the car i loved is now like driving a horror movie.
The driver side seat rocks back and forth. dealer says i must pay to have replaced for ~$1200. i noticed via internet search this problem has been assigned nhtsa item number - 10016401. just wanted to add my car to the list. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2003 infinity g35 coupe. the contact stated that when accelerating over 5 mph, the front driver's seat would sway back and forth. the contact was informed of a technical service bulletin under nhtsa item number: 10016401 (seats). the dealer and manufacturer were both notified and advised the contact that because the vehicle was no longer under warranty, the vehicle would not be repaired. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 87,000 and the current mileage was 90,000.
1) failure of the a/c and audio controller - audio circuit board issue 2) driver power seat doesn't work - issue with track motors and trails 3) cd changer stopped working with cd stuck in the player. *tr
I have 2003 infiniti g35 sedan. driver's seat rocked back-and-forth. took it to infiniti dealer who stated that the driver's seat frame assembly had separated due to faulty weld joints! dealer stated that the driver's seat frame assembly seat was not covered by any warranty or recall. dealer also stated that if i didn't pay the $1,100.00 to have the driver's seat frame assembly replaced and i was in any kind of car accident, the faulty driver's seat frame assembly would cause the seat to become completely detached from the car and cause the seat to be thrown about inside the car. i therefore paid to have the driver's seat frame assembly replaced. however, a couple of days ago i noticed that the rocking is starting again! clearly there is something wrong with the driver's seat frame assemblies that are coming directly from nissan, which owns infiniti! in fact, according to nhtsa website, other nissan cars from 2003, like the 350z are having problems with the seats! clearly this is worthy of some time of investigation or recall since the nhtsa has on file a lot of complaints and service bulletins on this same issue from nissan cars! *cn
Tl*the contact owns a 2003 infiniti g35. the contact stated that the welding joint was coming apart and damaging the base. the dealer stated that the entire base was unsafe and needed to be replaced. the vehicle is currently at the dealer being repaired at the owner's expense. there is a service bulletin for the vehicle, but the number was unavailable. the failure and current mileages were 46,000. the consumer stated in january 20009, the driver's seat began to rock back forth whenever he accelerated from a complete stop. at first, the rocking was isolated to when acceleration occurred from a complete stop. however, after two weeks the rocking would occur when traveling at highway speeds of about 70 mph. eventually, the condition of the driver's seat became so severe that the seat could be rocked back and forth without any person seated in it. the driver's seat assembly was replaced at the consumers expense. updated 02/09/11 the consumer stated while driving in inclement weather, the window defroster suddenly shut off on its own. at the same time, the air conditioner reset itself to 60 degrees and turned itself on at maximum force. the lights on the climate control panel and radio panel went dark. attempts were made to shut off the air conditioner and restart the window defrosted, but the climate control button were non-responsive. it was discovered that the only way to control the radio was through the control buttons located on the steering wheel. unlike the radio there was no secondary climate control button. within 30 seconds of the window defroster shutting off, all of the windows inside the vehicle became foggy. the vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was discovered the audio finisher circuit board was defective and that along with the radio would have to be replaced at a cost of $ 1,329.01. the dealer stated the radio and climate controls were both intertwined with the audio finisher circuit board. updated 09/10/12 the consumer stated the audio finisher board was replaced. updated 10/10/1

The heating/defrost/ac unit stops working while driving causing window to fog up during cold weather - back seats are ripping, like brittle. brake light in back window goes off and on, works when it wants to. *tr
2003 infiniti g35 with a recall on the engine. customer states that the dealer told her that her car was not included in the recall even though the symptoms were the same. dealer refused to fix it unless she paid 11,000 dollars to fix it. *kb the dealer informed the consumer the engine shut down because the piston broke causing it to hit the engine which put a hole in the engine block. the consumer had a used engine put in the vehicle on july 24, 2006 but, one year later the engine failed. the consumer stated she has had numerous problems with the brakes, the driver's seat made a constant noise, the 6 cd changer malfunctioned and ceased to operate and the window motor was replaced. *jb
Tl* - the contact states that his 2003 infinity g35 has a seat malfunction. when he accelerates or decelerates the seat continues to lift off the floor boards and pushes him to the back seat area. the contact has made several calls to the dealership and they state that his vehicle can't be covered under his warranty because of the mileage on the vehicle, but vehicle is still under warranty. the contact gave dealership number 941-924-1211, and the number for infinity corporation which is 1-800-662-6200. the contact states that it doesn't matter what speed he's going the seat rises from the floor. the contact also said that if he leans back on the seat while just sitting in vehicle it will also rise.
The driver's seat shifts back and forth on the rails when starting and stopping. as a result, the brake pedal or gas pedal is depressed further than intended. this is most certainly a safety issue. i have contacted infiniti and been told that nissan is aware of the problem but does not have an imminent solution. i need this problem repaired on my vehicle immediately! *ak
Purchased g35 sedan sept 2002 equipped with premium package including power drivers seat. driver's seat shifts or rocks when moving from a standstill or under hard accelleration. this unexpected seat movement is unnerving while navigating the vehicle and may be a potential danger. *ak
Bought my infiniti g35 in may of 2002, ever since day one, the driver's seats seems to be moving, rocking during acceleration and braking.. this seems to be a common problem on a lot of g35's. dealer's and infiniti has not relesase a fix that works yet after a year... i believe that this is a dangerous problem, because twice my foot slipped off of the brake pedal during braking and almost caused an accident..... there also seems to be a problem with life of the brake pads and rotors where they might fail prematurely... most drivers of the g complain that their pads and rotors are needing to be replaced as soon as 8,000 miles and are not covered by the warranty.*ak
Driver's seat rocked while driving. dealer had no remedy, advised consumer to drive without seat belt, stating this would make the seat rock less. *ak
Drivers seat "rocks" back and forth, sometimes emitting a "popping" or "clicking" noise, especially when accelerating from a stop or while cornering under normal driving conditions. the movement of the drivers seat while driving the car has caused disruption of normal driving habits, resulting in erratic acceleration and over and understeering. i have found certain adjustments to the seat reduce the movement, but these adjustments make the seat uncomfotable and do not provide the proper sitting position i need to operate the vehicle safely. i see this as a safety issue and have thus notified two seperate infiniti dealerships, both of whom were unable to resolve the problem and one of which made the movement worse during their "inspection" of the faulty seat. i own an infiniti g35 with the premium package, which includes leather upholstery and a full-power drivers seat.*ak
