Step 1: Find the Hood Release Handle/Tab Beneath The Dashboard.

In a Honda CRV vehicle, the hood release handle (or tab) is located below the dashboard, on the left side, next to a clutch pedal (if manual transmission) or footrest platform (if automatic transmission). Mostly it's depicted as a car with an open hood.

This handle always keeps the hood closed, so you have to unlatch it to let the hood open partially. Find the hood latch and pull it to you till you hear the hood opening sound.

Step 2: Find the Hood Safety Lever/Latch in the Hood's Center.

To fully open the hood of your Honda CRV, you still need to press the safety lever/latch under the hood. This lever/latch is a safety mechanism to prevent the hood from suddenly opening while driving (especially on uneven roads). It is located in the middle of the hood above the radiator grille.

Insert your hand into the formed space and gently feel the mechanism. As soon as they find it, press it (to the right side) so that the hood opens completely.

Step 3: Secure the hood in the open position.

Remove the support rod and secure it back in the stock clip when closing the hood. After that, slowly lower the hood, taking your hands away from the radiator grill in advance - so as not to accidentally injure yourself. Now that the hood is down press it lightly to close it completely.
