I received a recall notice for my passenger airbag. i contacted sam swope pontiac where i purchased the vehicle new. i spoke to many different there approximately 5 times. each time i was told that they did not have the part, therefore they could not replace the airbag. because i was told they never received the replacement part, i contacted the parts department directly. i was told that they were able to order the part, however i would have to pay $760.60. it is apparent they do not want to fix this problem or adhere to the recall standards. because it is a recall, the replacement should come at no cost to the consumer. please help and advise me in the direction i should take. i am afraid to drive my vehicle without the airbags, which was included as a working part when i ordered it. i have not had a wreck, however i don't feel safe driving this vehicle which i paid full price for brand new. because they wont adhere to the recall policy, any accident resulting in injuries would be ground for a law suit. i do not want anyone to get hurt and this problem must be fixed. please help me. i've exhausted all means in trying to get this recall part installed. thank you for your help.

Takata recall.i received a recall letter in july 2016.nothing is being done. i have called the dealer.they have no info.gm needs to take responsibility for this.takata has declared bankruptcy and gm should be held responsible for repairs or financial restitution.

Takata recall i've been waiting a year for parts since teh july 2016 letter i received from gm. their website recalls.gm.com still says parts unavailable.

The dash board of my vehicle has cracks in it. more and more cracks are beginning to develop over the airbag. i am worried about the airbag deploying with sharp plastic pieces pointing at it. i think this is a hazard to all drivers. every gm truck/tahoe from 2007-2013 (that i have seen) have these ugly and dangerous cracks in them.

The windshield wipers will come on and not turn off. i have had it at the mechanic for this at least 5 times. it happens whenever it rains or the windsield or some part gets wet, like a car wash. after drying out, usually at least a few hours of no moisture, the wipers stay off. takata recall - it's been at least 3 years and this is a truck i've driven for a quarter of a million miles - yet no response or fix available from gmc

Takata recall. my airbags were recalled in 2016, but as of yet, the dealer states that they do not have the parts to fix them. i don't mind waiting a month or two, but it's been over a year. when are the parts going to be made available? what's the use of issuing a recall if nothing is done to remedy the situation?

Recall, airbab, where is the fix? the website(airbagrecall.com) doesnt have fix yet. what can i do? now takata is going bankrupt. i received notice in mail last week.

Takata recall - a recall notice for takata airbags has been in existence for my truck since may 27, 2016. i received a postcard notifying me of the recall awhile back. however, as of today (november 9, 2017), the gm dealer tells me that there is still no resolution for this issue. they currently have no estimate as to when a resolution will be available. in the meantime, i don't feel safe driving around in this vehicle with my family but cannot afford to get a new truck.

Takata air bag recall. i was contacted in may of last year to have my air bags replaced. i have checked every month since. i contacted my local dealer, tincher williams, in london, ky again friday 10/20/2017. they stated they still haven't received any replacements or directives to replace my air bags. its been 17 months. please ask them to get the airbags replaced-now. thanks!

I have cracks on my dashboard of my truck. both on the drivers side and passanger. i'm afraid that if i have an accident that peices of the plastic could harm me and my grandchild. also could the cracks get bigger and form a hole in my dash? that does not seem very safe.

Takata recall. in 2016 i received a notice of possible recall for my airbags, a few weeks prior to receiving this notice the check airbag warning light came on in my vehicle and has been on since. two years of an airbag warning light with a notice of unsafe airbags is concerning to me.

Cracked dash over dash bezel and around passenger side airbag.

There are cracks on the dashboard connected to the airbag. i'm concerned this may be a safety hazard that could send shrapnel if airbags deploy like the recent takata recall. it started with one small crack and has developed into three across the dashboard. the largest around ten inches long. this seems to be a prevalent issue with this and similar gm makes and models but i did not find a recall or service bulletin on the issue. i contacted gmc and they do not offer any assistance outside of warranty.

Dash is cracking around air bag leading to safety concerns if air bag deploys with sharp plastic pieces flying. i will install the third dash in the truck due to the cracking to prevent injuries in case of an accident.

Takata recall. i think it is ridiculous that something this important has yet to have a fix available. i am not in the financial position to stop driving this vehicle and purchase another while still paying for one that is unsafe to drive. our family uses all seating available in the vehicle and that makes it unsafe to drive ! i would like permission to have the defective part removed if there is no fix available. and according to all there is no fix and no date that they expect one. *tr

There are two cracks in the dash of my 2007 gmc sierra 1500. one of the cracks runs into the passengers airbag the other is over the instrument panel.

Takata recall: per dealership, 8/12/16 unable to make appointment to fix the recall number #49152. they have no idea when the parts will be in. says it could tke up to one year!!!! we were in an accident with this vehicle. the truck was sandwiched between two cars, the airbag did not deploy at 35 mph., he was injured. after vehicle came back from bodyshop with $7000.00 worth of damage fixed, airbag light came on and has stayed on. we use this truck for our contracting business, so is it safe like gm recall letter states? i called gm back on july 1st, 2016, asked if there was a takata recall on this truck, i was told no. i told them the airbag light was on so why not recall based on other 2007 trucks? part 573 safety recall report given to the nhtsa by gm clearly shows that all 2007 gmc sierras were to be recalled in area b, which is where i live.. high humidity. memo was submitted may 27th, 2016. i just got my recall letter yesterday, august 11th. when i called gm to complain about that, and ask why the delay, i was hung up on. i want justice for airbags that do not deploy when they should.. what about we folk? there are many of us.the airbag light is still on< and now there are no parts to fix the problem. our mechanic says when the light is on, the bags will not work. great. no rental car from gm and no way to fix the problem. should we not go to work? i doubt enterprise would like a contractor to use their rental truck as a "real" work truck like we do. hence the problem.
