We have classified the 167 complaints from 2013 Ford Fusion about POWER TRAIN into the following categories.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fusion. while parked with the engine running, the vehicle rolled away. there were no warning indicators illuminated. the contact caught up with the vehicle and turned the engine off to stop it from moving. the vehicle failed to restart and was towed to estabrook ford (3689 14th st, pascagoula, ms 39567, (228) 762-2641) where it was diagnosed that the shift cable fractured. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 18v471000 (power train). the failure mileage was unknown. *tt consumer stated put car in park and it kept rolling, had to turn engine off to stop car then would not turn back on, car was towed. updated 10/17/18*jb
I was driving car into a parking stall. stopped, put car in p, turned off engine and release the foot brake...and the car started rolling forward. applying the foot brake stopped the rolling, however, when i tried to start the car to back it up, the error message read (something like) "transmission not in park, cannot start car". the shifter was clearly in park, so i jiggled it without any success. the car would not start or come out of p (on the shifter). when the emergency roadside assistance from geico got to the car, it was determined that the transmission linkage had failed. they were able to zip tie the connection, so i could take it to a repair shop (where it is right now). it appears that this linkage piece is definitely a "weak link" in a critical system. no accident, but very much a serious problem. the car has about 41,000 miles on it.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fusion. while driving approximately 55 mph with the air conditioner activated, the vehicle stalled without warning. also, when depressing the accelerator pedal, it became difficult to depress. the contact was able to coast the vehicle to the side of the road. the contact powered off the engine and the vehicle failed to restart. also, when the air conditioner was turned off, the vehicle restarted and was able to operate normally. the failure recurred twice when the air conditioner was in use. the vehicle was taken to phil long ford of denver (7887 w tufts ave, denver, co 80123, (855) 981-0291) where it was diagnosed that a transmission flush was needed. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failures. the approximate failure mileage was 123,000.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fusion. after stopping the vehicle and switching the gear shifter into the park position, the vehicle suddenly rolled backwards. the emergency brake was applied to stop the vehicle from rolling. during the incident, the shifter was in the park position; however, the indicator displayed that the transmission was in reverse. the vehicle was towed to the local dealer (tamiami ford, 1471 airport pulling rd. north, naples, fl) where it was diagnosed that the shift cable was faulty and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 72,000.
My ford fusion is a 2013 which means its only 5 years old and the gear shift bushing popped off, when i went to put my car in park the transmission was automatically switched to drive. i luckily noticed my car wasn't in park before i was about to step out the car or i could have been ran over! since my extended warranty nor my car insurance won't cover the cost because its considered wear and tear i'm stuck without a vehicle till i find $600 to fix the mechanical problem.
I crashed my car into a light pole because the transmission cable broke while trying to turn around. i placed the car in reverse to complete a turn on s. boyle avenue in st. louis but when i pressed the gas to go backward, the car went forward into the pole. the transmission stayed in drive when the cable broke and cause significant damage to my front fascia and grill. i am reporting this because ford sent a recall notice and would not repair my car due to the damage resulting from a known defect. the recall notice said no accidents occurred from this recall and i had to correct the record. ford's cable defect did cause my crash and vehicle damage. ford has completed the cable recall but will not repair the resulting damage to my car.
Transmission cable bushing broke in april 2018.. still waiting on formal recall
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fusion. while driving approximately 65 mph, the engine warning indicator illuminated and the vehicle stalled. the vehicle was able to coast the vehicle to the side of the road, but it failed to restart. the vehicle was towed to villa ford (2550 n tustin st, orange, ca 92865, (714) 637-8222) where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not contacted. the approximate failure mileage was 150,000.
Tl* the contact's daughter owns a 2013 ford fusion. while the contact's daughter was driving at an unknown speed, she heard a grinding noise throughout the vehicle but could not pinpoint the location. the vehicle was taken to gary crossley ford (8050 n church rd, kansas city, mo 64158, (816) 781-4844) where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. while the contact's daughter was driving back home, the vehicle stalled and lost power. also, the check engine indicator illuminated. the contact called gary crossley ford and was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced at the contact's expense. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 130,000.
There is currently a consumer satisfaction program (13n03) in which ford has extended the warranty on the electronic throttle body on certain vehicles. i have been experiencing issues with my electronic throttle body and discovered that my vehicle is not covered under the satisfaction program. i was told by the manager at my local ford mechanic dealership that the etb were all made with the same parts and he did not understand why my vehicle is not included under the satisfaction program/extended warrant. there have been multiple occasions when i am pulling out onto a city street after having just started my vehicle leaving a parking lot and my car has stalled/died resulting in near fatal accidents since my vehicle was imobile. the other day i was almost t-boned and thankfully the oncoming vehicle was able to maneuver around my stalled vehicle. i have contacted ford to file a complaint and they have stated there is nothing they can do for me.
Very hard upshift into 3rd gear. had vehicle at my local ford dealer the day after i bought it in november 2017 and had some internal transmission repairs done under illinois used vehicle powertrain warranty. got the vehicle back 25 days later and the hard shifting did not change, not even a little. took vehicle back the following day and they said the hard shifting is now normal to that vehicle. the shifting has gotten so bad the front tires chirp when going into gear. i now have driven the car almost 3,000 miles and the adaptive learn has not softened the shifting even though ford says it can take up to 1,000 miles. multiple complaints about this transmission (6f35) on the internet.
My 2013 ford fusion titaniumtransmission went out at 80k. i was informed by the dealer that, "upon teardown found transmission case cracked and metal in transmission." here is the letter describing the situation that i sent to the ford dealer after many calls with ford manufacture: i would really appreciate your assistance in dealing with my transmission repair, steering temporary locking, and check engine light issues with my 2013 ford fusion. on december 24, 2017, i started my car after taking my oldest son to get his haircut, when my ford fusion started to jerk, lose power, and steering locked when we attempted to drive away from the parking lot. i was really disappointed that my car, at such a young age, started to act up, but somewhat grateful it happened prior to leaving town on december 26th. my car has been at the dealership since december 26th, and i was finally informed of the hefty cost of the repairs this week (25 days later), for a new transmission. as you may understand, this is very discouraging because i only need nine more payments to pay off the car and don't understand why the transmission suddenly gives out and the steering temporarily locks before paying off the car. i'm perplexed by the denial from the ford manufacture company to assist in this matter since this is a transmission product issue. please explain, because i have several concerns: is this the typical shelf life of a 2013 ford fusion transmission? if not, then it would appear to be a manufacture defect. if so, then the transmission and product of this make and model is not of good quality. is the damage from a cracked transmission or the gears are defaulting to 5th gear or both? we would really appreciate you looking into this matter and assist with paying the costs of the transmission malfunction. what other solutions or recommendations do you have available?
From the day i first drove my car off the lot it was a 2013 ford fusion s it's gray. i started the engine and then sat in the driver's seat before i put it in drive i hear a loud thumping noise generating from the back end of my car. and it's still doing it 4 months later non-stop and i cannot figure out what's going on also there is a rusted hole in my muffler. also often times when i am driving when accelerating the transmission has a huge lag in it and sometimes it sticks without shifting to the proper gear to accelerate, sometimes i have to actually manually shift the gears. and it gets very rough when it slips and slides and makes a big drop which also shakes the entire vehicle and it also impairs the driving performance. and another thing is the seat belt, the rear middle seat of my vehicle when installing a child safety seat the middle seat belt got all jammed up and would not work at all. i had to replace it with an aftermarket seat belt because ford didn't want to fix it for free and wanted to charge me upwards of $400 just for the seat belt that wasn't my fault that i got damaged i just installed the child seat like the local police showed me to and then once i got it out the seat belt it's not working. they say it's not a part of the recall which i already have 4 recalls on my vehicle that is not yet fixed.
Transmission has had problems since 16,000 miles when i first bought the car. had it in many times for issues with the transmission not shifting properly at high way speeds. would slow down and move over to passing lane and speed up and it would jerk. park to drive and park to reverse would also have the same issues. 3 dealers later they finally found solenoids and another part was bad (about 90,000 miles) for someone to finally find the problem. had it back in 3 months later to have the same parts replaced again as they went out. just took it in nov. 2017 a year later and am being told the transmission is better off being replaced. i complained every 5,000 miles at oil changes to the dealer about the problem that should have been caught under warranty. i'm now stuck without being able to drive my car due to $3,000 estimate for what is wrong that they know of before opening the transmission up which could result in more $$ or pay $5,000 for a remanufactured one.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fusion. the contact stated that the vehicle failed to start. the vehicle was towed to the local dealer (fox ford lincoln, 2501 n elston ave, chicago, il) where it was diagnosed that the transmission bushing and shift cable were faulty and needed to be repaired. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was notified and did not assist. the failure mileage was 103,000.
Complaints involving transmission slipping i brought it back a couple times and i think this problem should be looked into in motion this happens and every time we bring it back they say they can't find anything but when we get it back it works better then it starts doing it again please look into this thanks
Car started rolling forward after engine was started in parking lot, even though gear shift was in "park", emergency brake was engaged, and foot brake was being pressed. steering was unresponsive. after engine was stopped and restarted (without having to press the foot brake as one usually does), car seemed to operate normally. dealer subsequently replaced power steering assembly, but could not duplicate forward rolling event..
On way to work i on the morning of 10-12-17 going about 75mph on interstate and all the sudden there was a ding and flash of red (check engine light) on the dashboard stating engine overheating and engine shut down and car basically went into neutral. i lost all power, radio, lights etc. with the momentum i had built up going 75 i was able to make it across the 4 lanes to the shoulder. an ohio state trooper stopped to assist and was dumb founded when he say there was no power, the car would not turn on. i called the dealership spoke with jay and advised that car was being towed in. service department at ford is stating that it's a safety feature to stop fire from happening, but honestly how safe is to have the engine and all electrical power completely shut down on interstate. it was a matter of seconds between ding, light and loss of power. car was towed in using my aaa membership on a flatbed to liberty ford in brunswick, ohio. i was advised later that day that it was the water pump and had nothing to do with the sensor that was recalled. i had to use pto for work on thursday and car was ready for pick up on 10-13-17 around lunch time. on 10-13-17 i had to leave work early to get to dealership before they closed at 6pm otherwise i would be charged $50.00 for the loaner if returned on saturday morning. i picked up my car and it cost me @$107.00 for the deductible since they are stating it had nothing to do with the recall and that it was the water pump. on the afternoon of 10-14-17 (@ 12:30-12:45pm) driving in medina area on way to event with niece in the car the check engine light came on again. see attached for full complaint and docs
Takata recall complaint: transmission shifter cable came out from gear box...the cable pop out of place while shifting into reverse. unable to shift back into drive because cable pop. the vehicle was stationary.
2013 ford fusion. started hard shifting approx. 3 weeks ago. you can be driving at high rate of speed (55 to 75) mph and the transmission will hard shift and loose acceleration. pressing on the gas does not accelerate the vehicle. the vehicle will gradually slow down. the rpm's will rev up. even putting the vehicle in manual shift mode did not shift. several times had to pull to the side of the road on the highway and let it set for a few minutes. of course the vehicle did the same thing about 5 miles down the road. called the dealership and was advised they are having these kind of issues with this vehicle and it sounds like the shifting module. stated its under warranty for 60 thousand miles. my vehicle is just a little over 58 thousand miles. cant believe ford is having this issue. very dangerous on the highway. vehicle goes to dealership 10-2-2017
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fusion. the contact stated that the vehicle was inoperable due to overheating and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. the vehicle was taken to phil long ford of motor city (1212 motor city dr, colorado springs, co), but the failure could not be replicated. barbee freeway ford (4471 e evans ave, denver, co) was also contacted, but the failure could not be replicated. the dealer confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. the vehicle was finally taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the transmission and engine would have to be replaced. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 17v209000 (engine and engine cooling); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. the failure mileage was approximately 16,000.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fusion. while driving at a low speed, the steering wheel became difficult to maneuver and a "power steering assist fault" message appeared on the instrument panel. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. the mechanic plugged the vehicle to a machine, but the diagnosis was unknown. the contact called winner ford (856-428-4000 located at 250 haddonfield-berlin rd, cherry hill, nj 08034) where the dealer stated that the vehicle was included in an unknown recall, but there was a fee for diagnosing the vehicle. the contact then called ace ford (856-845-6600 located at 487 mantua pike, woodbury, nj 08096) where the dealer stated that the vehicle was not included in a recall for the failure; however there was a recall on the seat belts. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that a recall for the power steering was completed in 2015 and the vehicle was not covered under warranty. the approximate failure mileage was 19,000. ..updated 10/25/17 *bf *js
Transmission shifts rough from 1st>2nd gear and very harsh from 2nd>3rd gear. also at times, when pressing the gas to accelerate quickly, the transmission will not shift or do anything, it just sits there and thinks for a few seconds and then slams into gear. this is all happening when in motion. it is also jerky at times when taking off from a stop. when shifting from park to reverse the vehicle slams into gear causing a harsh jolt after the vehicle has sat greater than 4 hours. i have been to a local ford dealership on four occasions. the technicians claim this is normal for the 2013 fusion.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fusion. while attempting to place the vehicle in park, the vehicle went into reverse. the contact had to turn the vehicle off and discovered that the gear was actually stuck in reverse and the vehicle would not restart. the vehicle was not taken to the dealer or diagnosed. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 99,788.
While traveling though the mountains of west virginia suddenly the temperature began to steadily increase to where the gauge was halfway between normal and hot. i slowed the vehicle from the speed limit to about 55mph which brought the temperature back to normal. as we continued on the trip the temperature would spike and go back to normal with decreased speed. after the initial spike was noticed i plugged a data logger into the car to record engine temperature and monitor more closely. the temperature seems to be very erratic and several times reached a temperature of 233 degrees before i decreased speed again. this seems to be very hot for an engine to be getting and is greatly concerning considering the most recent recall on overheating and potential fire. i am confident that the vehicle would have overheated and broken down if i had not taken action as it did a year prior when it was supposedly fixed.
Will not shift out of park. gear shifter will move, gear shifter seems to operate. however, car does not recognize that gear shifter has been moved. does not attempt to engage other gears at all, simply will not recognize anything outside of park. when problem initially happened, began to try to go in reverse (was in park) for a moment before defaulting to park. vehicle was stationary, in driveway.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fusion. the contact heard an abnormal noise while driving the vehicle. the dealer replaced the battery, but it failed to correct the noise. while making a turn, there was a sudden loss of power and a warning indicator randomly illuminated for run power and the vehicle stalled several times without warning. the contact had to coast the vehicle over to the side of the road. the contact had to restart the vehicle a few times due to the failure. the manufacturer stated that the vehicle was not included in service campaign number: 14n02 to address the pcm reprogramming. the vehicle was towed to a dealer and was not repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 65,000.
Placed my vehicle in reverse, coming out of a parking lot, i tried to place my car in drive and the gear shifter was stuck.i called the tow truck, because i couldn't move my car. the dealership service department told me it was a broken transmission cable that needed to be replaced. my vehicle has 56200 miles and does not fall into the powertrain factory warranty.
My check engine light came on while i was on my way home from work. while sitting idle at a stoplight, the car warned the engine was overheating so i pulled over and shut it off for 20 minutes. the next morning when i went out to my car, i noticed a large amount of clear fluid had leaked out. on my way to the dealership, the check engine light went off and (according to the dealership) stayed off until i picked the car back up and started driving home. after running diagnostics at the dealership, it turns out that the engine bypass solenoid valve shorted out due to a faulty coolant tee on the heater core inlet. after doing some research, it seems that this was a recall on 2013 ford fusion se 1.6l cars. i contacted my local ford dealership and was told that my specific 2013 ford fusion se 1.6l was not part of this recall (although it was included in three other recalls from ford). after a simple search, i discovered that this seems to be a widespread issue with this car-regardless of the recall. apparently other 2013 ford fusion owners not included in the recall are experiencing the exact same engine coolant problem. it also seems the original recall had to be reopened to include additional vehicles. perhaps it needs to be reopened again.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fusion. while driving 30 mph, the "hill assist traction", "tire pressure sensor fault", and "service power steering now" indicators illuminated. the power steering seized without warning. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 73,000.
The car stalls. it can be restarted and driven again for an indeterminate amount of time but then stalls again. this started about 6 months ago and has become more frequent over the last month. most of the time it happens when driving at low speed such as through a parking lot or on side streets. a search of the web shows several results of the same issue
The electronic throttle control causes the car idle to drop and the accelerator to become unresponsive. this causes the car to stall. this has happened to me multiple times in heavy traffic. this has been going on for a couple months and is becoming more frequent.
*center seat belt sticks when left side rear seat is down and won't move back to up right position with out removing seat belt bolt under rear seat.*transmission leaking from left out put seal.*rear shocks leaking-notice lack of control rear of car rough roads. *tr
November 2016 while i was coming from the grocery store my car suddenly stalled and completely stopped. i immediately started the car back up and drove for a good 2 minutes and it did the same thing, but this time i was in the street. after letting my vehicle sit for 15 minutes it did eventually start back up and drove smoothly. but that wasn't the last time my car would just suddenly stop. in december i took my car to the dealership for an oil change and told them what had happen to my car. the check my fluids and told me nothing was wrong (which was a lie). everyday since november if i drive my car too much, it shuts off. if i am on the freeway in traffic, my car will just turn off. now february, i received an error message (engine coolant over temperature) and my car will not move at all. call ford motor and was told my car wasn't included in the recall in regards to the engine, contact the dealership and i have to pay for it to be towed to them , because the part might not be included in my warranty. my car has 76,000. i do my oil changes and maintenance on time, and always go to the dealership. my car lights in the inside turns on while i'm driving without me even pushing them (creepy). my seat belt doesn't really restrain me and my seat doesn't really move back and forwards like it should.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fusion. while the vehicle was idling, the coolant over temperature warning indicator illuminated, resulting in engine failure. the vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the bypass valve and the heater hose failed and needed to be replaced. also, the power train control module needed to be reprogrammed. the vehicle was not repaired. the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 12v551000 (engine and engine cooling). the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the vin was unknown. the approximate failure mileage was 50,000.
Well i noticed problems with my car maybe a month after i got the car took it back to the dealer ship they didnt see any problems but im having transmission problems, problems with the steering, i have had a coolant problem fixed already. the shocks went out on the care within less than a year. having problems with the fueling system. also having problems with the left light system. they have only to recalls with my vin number of things that i had already gotten fixed. so im really concerned about the issues that are going on with my car and feel that it really need to be addressed. every thing that has happend is while the car is in motion.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fusion. while driving 15 mph, the vehicle hesitated and lost power when coming to a stop. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that oil was leaking from the front driver side axle into the transmission, which was causing the transmission to fail. the vehicle was not repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 90,000. the vin was not available.
Hello, my name is [xxx] and i bought a brand new vehicle from ford three years ago and just recently, when my car was in park, i shifted the gear and it went in reverse. i got scared and shut the car off. it did not turn on after that and it had to get towed to galpin ford in north hills. ford told me that it was an eroded transmission cable that i had to pay out of pocket to repair. i do not understand why my brand new car has an eroded part in it. i live in southern california where are there no hazard weather conditions. i googled how you could have an eroded cable and it is from acid. is there something else wrong with my car and i am in danger to drive it. ford has been unhelpful and basically telling me there is nothing they can do. i feel like fords parts are not up to safety standards by my case and would like an investigation done with ford. please feel free to contact me with any questions. thank you! I put my vehicle in park and it kept going due to the shift linkage breaking, it remained in drive this is extremely unsafe and should not be happening to a 3 year old car with 88k on it. after doing some research i discovered this quite common among the newer fusion's, focus's and other ford products...updated 01/04/17 *bf the consumer stated the failure was caused by the plastic bushing that held the shifter cable onto the transmission linkage, which cracked due to dry rotting. this meant even though the lever was shifted into park, it was no longer attached to the transmission. therefore, the vehicle was still in park. the vehicle was repaired by replacing the entire shifter cable. updated 08/03/2017*js
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fusion. the contact stated that while driving at 65 mph, the vehicle was jerking and shuttering with the service manual error warning light illuminated. the failure recurred four times. the dealer was not contacted. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 77,000.
We have had our 2103 fusion now for 2 months. 1 week after having the car it began to make a humming noise around the gas tank area, then when you slowed down for a red light the car would stall and be hard to start back. sent the car back to the dealership to only be told they couldn't find anything wrong. once we received the car back we drove it for a couple of days and the car started making the noise again and would stall again. called dealership and took car back again still nothing. received car back and began to notice when we was fueling the car that the rpm gauge would go up and down and then the vehicle would quit and be very hard to start back. while driving the vehicle about 3 weeks ago it stalled again and would not start back, finally after about 30 mins of trying the car started. sent car back to dealership again and they have had the car 3 weeks and they are saying they can not find anything wrong with the vehicle. i asked if they had put fuel in it like i advised they proceeded to tell me no. i advised them when they did to let me know what the car did. we no longer feel safe driving the car. i believe we either have a fuel pump issue or the vehicle is pulling air in from the fueling system and is causing it to air lock. the vehicle has quit about 12-15 times in the 2 months we have had it
The test drive on my ford went smoothly. however, later that month my vehicle began shifting hard. it revs and the engine pulls. i have to barely accelerate to get it to shift even then it shifts extremely hard. i informed the local ford dealership of the issue and i was told that all of the 1.6 ecoboost models like mines shift hard. that is ridiculous. this issue was never fixed. i also experienced another issue: my gas tank door did not operate correctly. it felt like a spring came out because the door would blow open while i am driving.
Transmission has shifting issues.struggles to find proper gear
The car has a harsh shift for 2/3. the shift is so harsh at times that it will jerk your head back. it will also at times drag from the 2/3 shift then jerk you. this happens on city streets on the highway if in traffic and it always happens after the car has been sitting for any amount of time. the car has been to the dealership four times for this problem and they tell me it is normal. i spoke with ford today 6.23.16 and they have escalated the matter with the dealership.
yellow wrench light keep coming on while driving only down the highway at 65 to 70 mph, it also intermittent therefore the dealer cannot ever find problem codes. the codes erase when you turn off the car. i lose half of engine power and no other controls work such as cruise control and manual shifting paddle shifting. i was also told that it was my : "pcm" that is giving me the trouble. also the electric fan is running at full speed blowing out cold air, plus the smell of burning plastic. also when the car is started and running for about 7 to 10 minutes, i turn on the heater at 73 degrees and it is warm. then after turning on the heater and now leaving for work, i accelerate to get onto the freeway and soon noticed that the heater is now blowing cold air and i then turn the heater up higher to 77 then the same warmth come out then that goes away til i turn the heater way up to 83 degrees. this has never happened before, i had the coolant and oil replaced and it is still doing the same thing. i get two warnings showing the yellow wrench, "power reduced to cool down engine" and "engine overheat" the sunnyvale ford dealer charged me $200.00 dollars to see what was wrong with my car and said they have found nothing. but this problem only happens on the freeway driving at 65 to 75 mph. our freeways speed limits are high on interstates 5. i do see older ford tempo's going 80 mph and passing me while i cannot go faster to get out of the way of others. quite insulting to me while i spend out of pocket and ford says nothing and i get back a broken car that works sometimes. the extended warranties i pay for does not cover anything so i'm paying for a car that is soon to fail and leave me stranded at the same time i have to pay for it. ford continue to say my car ...
The transmission in this vehicle has a harsh shift from 2nd to 3rd gears. for the most part all other shifts are smooth. the jerky shift happens all the time, not just when the car is cold. i'm afraid that this is causing damage to the interior of the transmission and that one day it will stop working altogether.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fusion. the contact stated that the key failed to start the vehicle. after numerous attempts or disconnecting the battery, the vehicle was able to start. the vehicle was also included in nhtsa campaign number: 14v597000 (air bags), but the dealer stated the part was not available. the contact also stated that the eps and the power train warning lights illuminated. the manufacturer was notified of the failures. the failure mileage was not available.
