Takata recall. to date i still have the defective airbag in my vehicle and received a letter on june 2, 2018 that resolution is still pending and they are offering a rental car indefinitely. i do not feel that this is adequate. rental car agencies have base model vehicles and do not have near the features my fusion includes. our state requires hands free mobile device usage and the rental cars are not equipped for this unless you rent a higher end model. i was also advised by my local dealer that the rental had to be reauthorized every 30 days. this is a huge inconvenience but the only other option is to gamble on the airbag and potential injury. this car has been impeccably maintained with all maintenance done through my local ford dealership. i feel that all of the money i've invested in both the vehicle and its maintenance are now wasted. it has been more than a year since this recall was issued and it is clear ford is unable to remedy it. at this point ford should be required to buy back this car with a suitable amount of compensation for the loss of my investment.

Takata recall...they state they have no remedy for this when i put my vin# in at the airbagrecall.com site and it has been on recall since january 2017. also we had an issue with the driver's door not unlocking and stuck where someone in the car would not be able to get out without climbing out the window. had it in the shop for repair even though they have recalled 2013 and above for this very reason. the ford dealership said the 2012 ford fusion was not included. we had to pay $100 (warranty deductible) to have them fix it. i feel if it is known on other model years this one should have been covered.

Hit a deer causing $6600 damage to the front end of the car. the air bags never deployed. was traveling on a county highway k traveling about 35 mph. reported incident to the waukesha county sheriff department in wisconsin .repairs occurred at merton auto body shop in merton wi.

Takata recall i bought my car in oct.2016 from a dealership .i asked them if it had any recalles they said no.i drove my car for 2 years when i found out that it did. i was told about it in april 2018 ford put me in a rential when i asked ford motor co. after being in the car for 5 months. they said they dont have a fix for it yet. when i asked for a deadline they said that it would not be till the end of 20018 or mid 2019. i tryed to trade it in or sale it and no one would buy it bc of recall so i had to turn it in . to us auto credit and find a new car .i hade to put down $2000.00 . this has put my familey in a bad place it has messed up my credit. we were going to buy a house and bc of this it has messed up my chance to do so.

Takata inflators have 2012 ford fuisn bot at hansel ford santarosa ca. power stearing went out and they charged me 800 dollars to fix .then found out it was a recall is that legal ? now we have the air bag recall they keep beating around the bush saying don't have part to fix .do i have to pay for this recall to have owned five ford's in the past was a good customer really feel screwed by ford always owned domestic cars think i'll go toyota not a happy customer.

On september 5, 2015 i was on my way to a funeral traveling on 695 in owings mills maryland and experienced the lost control of my vehicle. while trying to steer back the steering wheel did absolutely nothing and also the trying to shift into gear was always a major problem. the gear shift would stick or sometimes hard to put back in place. from this my car was totalled.

9/2/2015 owner driving a 2012 ford fusion se on highway when air bag failed to deplay in a severe crash. vehicle was totaled. impact was inititated by a flat bed tow truck sidewiped on the drivers side. the vehicle was propelled two lanes the air bag system failed to recognize the impact. driver braced for imact when air bag did not engage. driver alive today because of instinct not air bag safety system.

Driving north on a three lane road in which i was in the far left lane while there was a vehicle to the right of me in the middle lane. the vehicle in the middle lane tried making a left turn onto a street in which that lane was not possible. the vehicle brazed the right side of my vehicle and diverted me to crash head on into an overpass cement structure. my front airbags did not deploy. the speed i was traveling before i was hit and ran into the overpass structure was 35-40 mph and the speed of my vehicle when it ran into the overpass structure and came to a complete stop was 25-30 mph. my vehicle has been claimed as a total loss. *tr

This vehicle was totaled in april 2015 in virginia and is no longer in mine. i have reached out to ford motors with this information and they say i'm the registered owner. there is nothing they can do. now the florida highway safety & motor vehicles is contacting me about not completing the recall. there is no way that can be done for a vehicle that doesn't exist.

Vehicle was hit twice on right (passenger) side. impact was hard and continuous and pushed the car against barrier wall on left side. the car was totaled. front passenger side door was severely dented. none of the air bags deployed although vehicle was supposed to be equipped with side air bags.

The airbag sensor light keeps coming on. i have taken it to a dallas hardy ford (paulding county georgia), where it was purchased, twice to have it fixed. they say it is fixed and then it comes on again. last year in january it came on again. this time i had firestone in mechanicsville, va look at it. they said that there was nothing wrong with anything except there was a bunch of "gunk" on the connectivity wires. they scraped them off and the sensor light went off. however, it has come back again. i am not if the airbag works on or not. dallas hardy ford tells me because it is out of warranty they will charge me a huge sum of money to even look at it. this has been going on since 2014.

Mid 2014 the airbag indicator on dash board activated when i started the car and remained lit while driving. at next oil change the dealer stated the restraint control module needed to be replaced. located an active recall for this issue online, but it is only for model years 2013-2015. my car is 2012 and per the dealer not included in recall. ad to that, the restraint control is a specific exclusion to their warrant contracts indicating they knew there was an issue with the part. i understand that the control module shorts out.

12-9-13 air bag light continues to stay on. i took to dealer they did diagnostics and cleared code and gave back to me. 12-20-13 air bag light continued to keep coming on and staying on so i took back this time they replaced air bag circuit connector. 1-9-14 air bag light continued to keep coming and staying on. dealer this time replaced seat harness. 1-13-14 air bag light continued to keep coming and staying on. dealer this time replaced seat harness a 2nd time said first was defected they just put on. left dealer had to go right back i couldn't even move by power seat back it was getting stuck. dec 2014 air bag light continued to keep coming and staying on. dealer said had to order a module for it. currently now it's still in there waiting on part. also knocking noise in front end since 25000 miles dealer keep passing off and lubing it. now from my dec 2014 visit they ordered a steering column to be replaced that is being put in now as well they have had since last tuesday (now warranty up 39000 miles). dealer claimed a code told them this time to replace the steering column yet it had been doing it over a year. *tr

Subject vehicle was stopped on a city street to make a turn another vehicle traveling at least 35 mph struck subject vehicle in rear. subject vehicle rear bumper and truck area crushed in about 18 inches. none of the air bags in subject vehicle deployed. subject vehicle was repaired. one year later subject vehicle was traveling southbound at about 25 mph on secondary highway. another vehicle traveling northbound at about 25 mph turned left into subject vehicle. subject vehicle was struck on front drivers side consisting of headlight area and quarter panel area in front of left front tire. none of the airbags in subject vehicle deployed. all airbags in other vehicle deployed.
