My power steering has now failed twice while the car was in motion. both times i had to turn off my car and turn it back on to get the power steering to work again. both times, it happened on a city street while i was making a turn.
My power steering when out in a curve. no warning at all!! i had my mother and my 2 year old daughter in the car at the time. i slid off the road and messed up my car and hurt me and my mother. my daughter thank god was not hurt thanks to her car seat. ford told me this was my problem! why is this car not recalled for this problem?
When operating my vehicle it makes audible breaking sounds. when coming to a stop you can hear the screeching of brakes. it was light, but it seem's like it's getting louder though. this happens when driving in town on the streets.
The steering rack is very loose and dangerous- there is a recall on the newer models with the same rack - this is way more dangerous than an air bag that"may" deploy - this is dangerous all the time .
I don't own this car but i was seriously thinking about acquiring this car till when i looked up the vin and it had an old open recall on the airbags that the car company selling it should atleast tell you there is. i realize facebook may not be the best online service to use to buy a vehicle but the dealership should have at the least mentioned the recall and what they should have already done was have it taken in an fixed for the safety of its client its crazy. please get ahold of the dealership who owns this car and tell them to get the recall taken care off thank you. there are cars that have this recalls that should be taken care of as soon as the obtained them. i've noticed that facebooka car marketplace has alot of cars for sale with open recalls some a couple months old and some over 10 years old please look into this dealership on facebook trying to sell cars with recalls on them an young kid or older lady may not even think about looking up the vins to see if there is an open recall buy the car and then possible die or get severely hurt because these dealerships didn't take car of all recalls that open on car on there lot. i would never ever sell someone a car with an open recall even if it was very minor, so how can these dealerships go unchecked selling open recall cars, here's the vin [xxx] please for god sake make it to where nobody can sell a car on any website without getting it fixed or explaining there is one and offer to get it fixed before they buy or if they buy get it towed to get the recall fixed. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr
Driver side door handle will not open from the inside. door will unlock and door handle can be pulled but does not activate the mechanism that opens the door. need to use a passenger door or roll down the window to open from outside door handle.
There is a mass problem with fusions and the ac. ford doesn't know what the fix is, the dealers don't know what the fix is. they just keep replacing stuff. the problem is the ac blows cold..then stops and blows hot. freon is full, compressor works fine, no leaks, no codes reported when codes are read. this guy on youtube has documented the problem and a work around he found. this should not be a work around and ford should get to the bottom of what is causing this problem and stop charging people for unnecessary repairs that don't fix the problem. my dealer had my car for 3 days tested everything, couldn't find any problems gave my car a green bill of health..drove off the lot after the green bill of health on a hot day. ac stopped working on the way home with exact same symptoms i took it in for. the ford dealership has been trying to fix this on my vehicle for 1.5 years and have yet to figure out what the problem is. here is the video of the workaround. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kq9inunwkpw
The car stalls and shifts gears after stopping at a red light or stop sign then after moments of pressing the gas pedal it spins off and jerks really hard on a freeway it rides very well it only stalls after waiting at a light or stop sign or tapping onto the break also the car has new break pads but it sounds like something is scrubbing and while i was backing out of a parking lot the car made a huge popping and threw me back while my foot was on the break it scared me so i got out to see what happened and i didn't hit anything nor did anything hit me so i tried to drive home and the car jerked the entire way home almost

Power steering will stop working while driving. i read or saw that other years had been recalled but not the 2010 model.
All of a sudden one day one lights on my radio went out screen is blank my air / heat go in and out intermittingly my horn also is no longer working none of my outlets have power . i have had a system test done several times and nothing can be found . i looked on line i see that over 100 people with the same car and year having the same issues and this is very costly and as a consumer and this needs be recalled .

The driver's side door will not open from the inside. i can only open it by rolling the window down and grabbing the handle on the outside. this is a safety issue. i have discussed with ford and they are not concerned about it/will not fix it free of charge. i see online where a lot of people have had this issue with the ford fusion, plus other ford cars. this needs to be recalled before an accident occurs.
Driver side door will not open from the inside. it will lock and unlock, handle will move, door will not open. i have to open the window and use the handle on the outside of the car. this is hazardous to be trapped inside of my car in an emergency.
Takama recall previous recall from 2015, before i owned the vehicle when i bought the car from a ford dealer in august 2016, i was not warned of this recall and it shows as incomplete. for the most recent recall, i got a notice on the mail, probably from the end of may. i got in august, coming back from my summer holidays. i went to talk to the mechanics at the ford dealer. they told me to wait. the year is almost gone. should i go to talk directly with the dealer that sold me the car to ask about this or both recalls?
Throttle body recall i have a 2010 ford fusion that i just purchased less then a year ago. one day my check engine light came on and i returned the car they told me it was the throttle body. they replaced it and 3 months later it went again. i looked up the recalls and they said that the throttle body was one of them. it has already been fixed 4 times in the last couple of years. now my car is stalling and shutting off in traffic. how do i go about getting this fixed or something new. i looked up the recalls and it saids im suppose to have a 10 year extended warranty or 150,000 mile warranty. but no one is giving me any answers. this car is very dangerous for me and my family to be driving in. where do i go from here..
I bought this vehicle a week ago from a well known dealership. i was told the car was tested and had no mechanical problems. it had clean carfax and one owner. after having the car a few days the engine light came on and the car started surging and i lost accelerartion and ability to keep car on the road. i barely made it home and am fearful to drive it. i think there is a problem with the gas tank or similar component. the dealer said it was sold as is so now i have to pay for repairs that should have been detected and fixed. i am seeing other owners of this vehicle having same issues. ford needs to issue a recall for this. someone is going to get seriously hurt. i get dialysis 3 times weekly and thought this car would be reliable. now i will be paying for repairs.
Drivers side front door latch failed when i tried to exit the vehicle. took it to the dealer and was originally told "we haven't heard any complaints about anything like that from other customers" until i called bs and stated i have seen countless reports online regarding this exact same issue. then all of a sudden it was . . .oh yeah, i think i remember hearing about this issue, but gee no recall for it so your going to have to pay out of pocket to get it fixed. even though its something thats the exact same problem that has been recalled in other vehicles. why does it seem issues with ford fusion are continuously looked over, issues which should have been addressed as a safety issue and recalled.
Car was stationary. both door handles within months of each other have broken. drivers side door you can not get out from the inside but can from the outside. passenger side door you can get in both ways but the handles are floppy and don't retract and stay in. have to manually push them down and lock the door.
My car has a problem hanging up when you accelerate. this is my second transmission. first one went out at 41,000 and i had to get a new one. the car has a total of 109,000 on it and i think this transmission is going out. it hangs up when you accelerate so i have to be careful about how i accelerate .so that the gears will change. it is an automatic transmission. it has been slipping for at least the past 10,000 miles, i am worried that it will go out again. the last transmission went out in heavy traffic in dallas texas. we almost died in that incident. the car wouldn't go and stopped in the middle of the intersection. i am worried that the same thing will happen with this transmission. this problem started last year in early part of 2017 and is ongoing
I inherited this vehicle a little over a year ago. the vehicle shuts off for no reason and the battery and wrench light come on. after much research i have found that this could be the etb assembly and that several people have complained about this. this is dangerous and i do not know why ford has not recalled it yet rather than offering the customer satisfaction program. i have an appt to take it to a dealership on saturday. this is a known issue and we shouldnt have to pay for any diagnostics. if something happens to me while driving i will sue.
There a past recall on my car which there was an issue where the studs on my wheel would fall off. i continue to have them break off my car. and ford is refusing to help fix, repair and acknowledge the issue. this is not normal and i have placed them several times and ford tells my its my problem not theirs. i notice the studs missing normally after driving. which makes this even more of an issues. i put a date when this happen in this form but its been on going for several years.

Ford recall 15s34 applies to ford fusions with 2.5 or 3.0l engines with model year 2010-2011, assembly plant of hermosillo, and build dates between july 21, 2008 through march 4, 2011. my vehicle meets all of those criteria, however, its vin is not listed as one of the affected vehicles. this is ridiculous because my auto shop has determined a failure in the canister purge valve of the evap system as is described in this recall notice. my car meets all of the criteria and has the same issue as this recall. why is it not listed on the vin list? this is preventing my car from being covered under the recall even though it is the same vehicle, model year, build dates, and assembly, and has the listed issue. can this be corrected?
Drivers front door latch does not return to latched position
Power steering assist fault message in the message center when backing out of driveway on to the road. power steering failed but was able to pull back into driveway. turned car off and returned later and the error was gone when restarted the car. has happened twice since 11/25/2017. also while driving service advancetrac message appeared. this was before the second power steering assist fault message occurred. took to the ford dealer today but since the codes were gone from the message center they could not diagnose the problem. told to drive the car back to dealer if the message happened again but if i have no power steering this is almost impossible.
So there is no remedy to fix the air bag. what happens when people start to get hurt or killed? then you will find a remedy!.... just replace the airbag!
The drivers side door handle will not open
Car doesn't fully go into (p)ark. first time i noticed issue. my car wouldn't crank. so when i figured that the car wasn't fully in (p)ark. i thought it was me making a user error. but it did it again the next time i drove the car. it really became noticeable when i called myself parking and the car started rolling while i was getting out of the vehicle. the only other gear i've notice affected is (r)everse. when putting in reverse from park, it works fine but there are two clicks from the gear shifter. 1) between (p) and (r) and 2) once at (r). the issue is when coming from (d)rive to (r)everse. when i am shifting from (d)rive. the car will act as if it is in neutral when the shift is showing in (r).

Started to notice that both driver and passenger side doors were sticking when trying to get out of the vehicle then it began to happen from the outside too when trying to get into the vehicle. then on 8/2/2017, had drove vehicle and parked it in a parking lot and the driver side inside door latch made a snapping noise when trying to get out of car. had to reach out and pull handle from outside just to get out of car. then went to get back into car and the lever worked from outside but then driver side door swung open and almost hit the parked car next to us when we went to pull out. like i said passenger side door is doing same thing. this could cause someone to get trapped in their car after an accident or got forbid the car would catch on fire and occupants of the car would not be able to get out.
The passenger frontal airbag inflator could rupture if the vehicle is involved in a crash where the supplemental frontal airbags are designed to deploy. this defect report is in response to takata dirs 16e-042, 16e-043, 16e-044.
The drivers side and passenger side door handles are broken. to exit the vehicle you have to pull the lock and door handle at the same time. on passenger door side now i am unable to unlock the door from the outside. this same problem is occurring on my wife's ford fusion 2011. this can be a very dangerous situation if you have to exit the vehicle in an emergency.
Shortly after starting my car i received the warning "power steering assist fault" and my power steering would not work. this was recalled on the 2011-2012 models but the 2010 was left out, however the problem exists in this model too. i now cannot drive the vehicle as it is unsafe to have the power steering go out at a moments notice

Just replaced the driver side door handle for the 3rd time. they have broken repeatedly and do not allow you to exit the vehicle.
This complaint is concerning the epas (electronic power assisted steering) which went out while in-motion, firstly; while driving to my local dmv for routine plate renewal, *before* i was set to begin my planned drive of over 800+ miles cross country to visit with my significant other, the epas warning indicator flashed across my dashboard led display, as well the advancetrac system indicator light. once i noticed the warning, i began the process of moving off the main road and into the parking lot closest to my dmv- as i've had similar problems with this vehicle falling into "limp home" mode repeatedly and suddenly before the electronic throttle body was determined to be the real cause and was recalled. i was prepared to navigate myself towards a safe vantage point and find out what was wrong, but while doing so i lost almost complete control of the power steering as the epas completely gave out. i was thankfully safe, having decided it was best to renew my plates, but if i had just decided to embark on my planned 14 hour drive cross country? i could've been stranded, i could've been in a major accident- should the epas had gone out on the highway, i could have died. ford seemed eager to dispel my fear that this was a larger issue, rather than an isolated instance, but it's clear to me from assessing similar people's exact same issues with this make and this year of vehicle, it's not an isolated incident. it's a massive and systemic default with the engineering, production, and implementation of this particular electronic system. i could have died. there is no justification for the lack of competency in the electrical engineering of a major vehicle from the standard bearer of our american automotive industry, these are people's lives we're talking about.
Primewell valera touring ii tires cracking on the sidewalls and interior after under 2 years of use. multiple other sizes are recalled for the same problem under the same model and are made of the same material. the entire tire model needs to be recalled not just specific sizes. it is an extreme safety hazard for all drivers on the road. i risked my tire exploding and crashing as a result of faulty manufacturing and the use of cheap materials.
Interior door handle springs break causing people to be unable to exit their car. window must be rolled down and exterior handle used to exit the vehicle. both interior driver side handles (front and rear) doors on my vehicle are currently inoperable. i contacted ford & was told to take it to my nearest dealer for inspection. upon doing so, the technicians and parts manager informed me that this was a common problem with this model. the repairs will cost me approximately 350.00 in parts and labor to make my vehicle safe again. this car is driven daily by my spouse, if she or my grandchildren needed to exit the vehicle quickly they could not. my family is literally trapped in the car. i will be forced to spend the 350.00 dollars to keep my family safe. if ford technicians are aware of this issue, my question is "why hasn't ford issued a recall for these handles"
Like so many others have experienced, today the driver door handle stopped working. door cannot be open from inside. driver must climb over to the passenger side to exit or else roll down the driver window to open from the outside. this should be a recall issue.
It's the recall with the throttle body. i've taken car back 3 times already. first they replace purge valve. then light came back on and car was jumping forward. now this is 3rd time light back on and now they won't fix car unless i pay. they said it's all a part of the same system but i need to pay for a leak that is coming from filter neck. so i left. i shouldn't have to pay for this. this is a recall. does this qualify under lemon law? this car scares me to drive. drive with both foot on gas and brakes.

Service engine light remained on along with throttle wrench light...car shaking little power....pulled over ,restart car lights still on , slow drive and shaky ride home..
Throttle body had to be replaced when engine wouldn't rev above 1000 rpm...limped a few miles then had to have it towed because it's a manual and it would stall..despite all the info on nhtsa and other sites about the extended warranty ford was required to provide on these, they have said our cars repair isn't covered. $300 later..after a tow and a ruined trip to pick up our daughter from her internship in nyc, i'm pretty disappointed.
As i am driving, the orange wrench light comes on and the car turns off. when i restart the engine, the light goes off and the car runs fine for a while. i believe it's the throttle body
Takata recall....i got a recall letter from ford in june 2016....it has been 1-1/2 years i have been waiting for this recall to be corrected and now there is a chapter 11. i think in 1-1/2 years of waiting for this recall to be corrected....this could have been fixed in this period of time. ford is simply stalling now...there has been plenty of time to build the product correctly and install my recall. am i suppose to die waiting....that will cost ford more in lawsuits!!!!!!
