Received letter from ford advising they would replace driver door sensor due to issues that result in it reading door ajar, resulting in dome lights staying on and battery drain. the same issue occurs on other doors, specifically on mine the back driver side door. this happens sporadically, while driving, while parked, even when the door is not utilized.
Speakers let out extremely loud crackle noise, ear piercing static noise and all of a sudden the radio no longer works. the radio does turn on but you can not change the channel nor any sound. absolutely no sound no matter what the volume is at. if my phone is paired to the radio it's complete silence and both parties hear nothing but silence. this happens not matter if you are driving or parked. you get the same results in all positions of the vehicle.

While driving my 2013 ford flex the power steering disappeared and i almost lost control of the vehicle. i pulled over and turned it off, when i started it back up the power steering returned to normal. i stopped at my destination but when i returned to leave i found that the power steering was not responding. i drove it home with great difficulty. this repeated several times over the next two weeks, functioning at the start of the day but failing after the vehicle was turned off. the power steering finally gave out altogether. i checked and found that there was a recall that was announced on june 02 of 2015 for this exact issue covering ford flexes from 2010 to 2013. i scheduled an appointment with my ford dealership to get the issue resolved. i was told that my vehicle was manufactured a few months after the recall date, which covered vehicles manufactured up until feb 28th of 2012. i can't understand one, how does a recall cover the years 2010 to 2013 but has an end date for eligibility of 2012?, the recall was announced on june 02 of 2015 and my vehicle suffered the exact same ...
Driving down the road and out of nowhere my vehicle started stalling as if vehicle had no gas. gas tank was full and vehicle showed me a wrench sign as i was looking at my dashboard
Left passenger door ajar alarm comes on randomly and causes the dome light to stay on and drain the battery when the car is stationary. unsafe when it happens when driving at night as it is hard to see the road and causes stress to the driver and to passengers, especially children as the doors will not lock whole moving.
When driving down city highway or city roads the all of the lights on the dash board will cut off, (ie. radio, blinkers, heat & a/c controls) will shut off and the drive control button will appear with the door ajar and brake lights. it is now starting to make a dinging sound while you drive as well as smell like something is on fire. the car is completely shut and sealed. there isn't a time or instant where this is happening. it will just go in and out! ford you really need to fix this problem since families are using these vehicles. i've done some research and see that it is a common problem with the 09 flex.
Front passenger door sensor thinks that the door is open when it is closed. the sensor has already been replaced on the drivers side rear door. this appears to be a common problem on the 2013 ford flex as evident when searching for answers. this sensor causes the lights to remain on and drain the battery. it is also affecting the car alarm.
Accelerating on interstate ramp, vehicle stalled and shut off. it would not stay running. it sputters and dies after cranking. we had aaa tow it off the roadside after 90 minutes waiting.
My 2015 ford flex was exhibiting symptoms described in the ford safety recall 16s31. the engine stalled while driving with no warning 5 times over the past two years of ownership with the most recent occurring on 6/20/2019 at 8:15 am. each incident was at different speeds (30 - 70mph) but no warning prefaced the stall and you had to cut the power off and turn it back on for the car to start again. two of the stalls were during turning operations while others were while driving straight. on other occasions the engine did not start via remote start, however no dates recorded. this recall, that describes the exact symptoms, states that it does not cover my vehicle because i have a different engine. however, the part in the recall is the fuel pump control module. my 2015 ford flex had the fuel pump control module aa8a-9d412-ca with the supplier part number 2177806-5e. as per the recall, this is a part that needs to be replaced. i just had the dealer replace it with the new part aa8z-9d370-b, service history below: we have taken the vehicle to two separate ford dealerships over ...
