Tl* the contact owns a 2000 ford f350. the contact was driving approximately 35 mph when the vehicle suddenly stalled without warning. the engine started to exhibit black smoke and he was able to continue driving home once the vehicle was restarted. the dealer was contacted and they advised him that he would need to replace the motor. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure and current mileage was approximately 110,000.
Tl* the contact owns a 2000 ford f-350. the contact stated that while driving 70 mph, the vehicle stalled. the failure also occurred on six previous occasions. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and the manufacturer was notified. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 125,870 and the current mileage was 162,550.
I have an f350 diesel year is 2000. in 2003 i had engine-sensor failure. ford said it was the cam sensor and charged approx. $400 to repair. this started happening again in feb. 2006. i had private repair shop replace cams, still stalls,took truck to ford repair, replaced glowplugs and charged several hundred dollars, still having trouble. seems to be worse in morning after non use for 12 hours. *nm
While driving 75 mph vehicle stalled. consumer managed to restart the vehicle. dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem. *ak
Automatic remote starter started while the hood was up. dealer was suppose to install a pin switch that would not allow the engine to be started while the hood was up. this was a precaution in the event of a mishap while a mechanic was working on the vehicle. *ak
Manual transmission pilot bushing malfunctioned; pilot bushing has been replaced at 9000 miles. consumer has contacted dealer. *ak on several occasions clutch would slip, dealer replced flywheel clutch assembly and transmission seal, after leaving dealer, consumer noted dealer had not put fluid in transmission, 2 u joints and the cam sensor was replaced due to drivetrain vibration, transmission now makes howling noise, engine has a no start condition. *tt
Blue smoke coming from tail pipe. form letter reply. *mc the tail latch was sticking, the rotor had to be machined, the windshield had to be re-sealed due to it leaking, the ball joints and serpentine belt were replaced, the valve cover gasket was leaking and had to be replaced. *jb
I was driving and the engine died due to cam sensor....steering and braking were hard to accomplish. *ak
Camshaft sensor has failed twice. dealer has repaired vehicle under warranty both times. please provide additional information.*ak
Dates are not correct as i do not have information in front. major brake issues, transmission shifting issues and turbo is now leaking oil again. lots of intermittent issues that no one can duplicate. unsure what to do. *ak
Excessive smoke comes out of the tailpipe during cold starts. *slc
For the exhaust system there aren't any replacements at present. *ak
Vehicle experienced the folowing problems: 1. rattle in rear end, and 2. leak in the exhaust system. dealer notified, and was unable to resolve both problems.*ak
