Problems with 2000 Ford F-350 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

While driving electrical system malfunctioned and caused the steering to fail and the vehicle to stall. the vehicles brakes also malfunctioned. *ak *nm

Alarm system sounds off every time it rains. *ak the horn would activate when it rained. the heater blower came on although the key was not in the ignition. the radio came on by itself. as a result the battery would become drained. the consumer removed the horn and radio fuse. *nm

While driving spark plug failed. dealer notified. *ak

Consumer states while driving, vehicle experienced a complete failure of the transmission, consumer was informed that the transmission failure was caused by a cooler line leak, consumer stated that a similiar leak was repaired previously while still under warranty and was told that no other damage had occured.*jb

While driving tail lights went out without warning, and consumer was almost rear ended. took vehicle to dealer, and they stated that a connection to stop light had come loose. dealer reconnected wire. a month later, tail lights, and brake lights went out. took back to dealer, problem kept reoccuring.*mj

Tire failed on asphalt, no load, no warning. total separation , only bead the tire tread left. no road hazard at time. same as two previous firestones tires, not the same type or year. electrical system: diesel would die out for a few seconds, then came back on by itself. loss of steering and all power during lost power or curves and hills. ford reprogrammed computer after several visits there.*ak

While driving an electrical fire started in the vehicles dash board, the fire engulfed the entire passenger compartment, there were no injuries (ohio traffic crash report). nlm

While vehicle was parked for 36 hours a massive electrical short occurred in engine compartment, resulting in a fire. *ak the vehicle was totaled after the fire and fire marshal believed the vehicle was defective. *yh
