My passenger side interior door handle has just fractured, exactly as described in your nhtsa campaign id # 11v0490000. this was a recall of approximately 300,000 2009 and 2010 f 150's. when i enter my vin on your site it does not come up, however i understand this is a potentially dangerous condition. perhaps my production date falls outside of the recall dates, however my truck has the exact same safety issue, and only has 18,000 miles on it. could you please advise me how to proceed, as i would like to have this corrected by a ford dealer as soon as possible. thank you.

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford f-150. the contact stated that the frame on the passenger side was rusted out. due to the corrosion and rust, the reinforcement was damaged. in addition, the bed of the vehicle had corrosion and rust. the vehicle was taken to two independent mechanics. the first mechanic only provided a cost estimate for the repairs. the second mechanic informed the contact to call nhtsa. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer and dealer were not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 59,181.

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford f-150. while the contact was reaching between the front driver's seat and the middle console to retrieve a pen, she sustained a severe laceration to her left middle finger, which required medical treatment. the cause of the failure was not determined. the manufacturer and dealer were not notified. the failure mileage was 165,000.

Traded in my 2010 ford f-150 at dpm inc in albuquerque no. they have not paid off the loan. i am getting collection calls from the finance company asking why i have nonot made a payment on the vehicle. at this point i do not know where my truck is.

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford f-150. the contact stated that both rear driver and passenger doors were unable to unlock or open. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the dealer was not contacted. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 95,000. .*bf. consumer stated both doors were docked during winter. although, top door releases but the bottom does not. consumer taking it to the independent dealer.*jb

One section of the heated and power rear window shredded for no reason, heard a loud bang while driving, didn't know what happened, pulled on side the road check my truck all around no visible damage got back in the truck and look my review mirror and my left section of the glass was all shredded, by the way my rear defroster was activated at the time.

The front passenger side interior door handle broke, preventing the passenger from being able to open the door. in an emergency, the passenger would be unable to exit the vehicle without someone opening the door from the outside. i rarely have passengers, other than my preschool-aged son, who rides in his child seat in the rear passenger side seat. there is a recall for interior door handles for my vehicle's model year, but not for my vin for some reason. perhaps the recall should be expanded. the failure was noticed when a passenger was trying to exit the vehicle in a parking lot.

Severe rust on rocker panels, doors and body frame on both sides of the truck

The bumpers and metal under the doors are rotting out , the vehicle is only 8 years old. this should be recalled ,lots of people on internet are having the same problem.

2012. went to great lakes ford ludington mi. paint on rocker panel was blistering up with water underneath. at where the doors latch on hook .they would not do anything.it was under warranty. now rusting very bad called in 4/17/18. ford still will not do anything . i now put oil on it to slow it down .im very worried that if i get into an accident. that the doors will come open. it's. on both sides . i have 103000 miles on it. the seat belts go through the doors so if the doors open i would be out of the truck. thank you for your time

The rocker panels are rusted badly. the rocker panel keeps the doors closed. when the rust gets to the point where the latch is the doors will not stay closed. it has not happened yet but it appears this will happen in the near future. with the rust this bad i am very concerned if there would ever be a side impact to the vehicle. i first noticed the rust in the late fall of 2017.

Truck was brought in for minor rust on inside panels of back doors, where the door closes. body shop stated that maybe the drain channel was blocked. upon picking the truck up after repair i was told that the rocker panels on both sides were so rusted out they were beyond repair. they stated it looks like the truck sat in water for a period of time, i bought the truck new from a dealer in amelia oh 43011 i am the original owner. i have looked on the web and it seems this is common on ford trucks. i will cost me 4900$ to repair; the truck looks brand new and i have kept it in very, very good condition. i have contacted ford but they will not help, they stated no recall or warranty issues have been reported at this time. why haven't their engineers corrected this problem?

Recently discovered major damage due to rust and rot of cab pinch weld at rocker panels on both right and left sides extending front to back. 2010, ford f-150, crew cab, 51,000 original miles. my complaint was formally addressed at the local dealership where purchased. they noted (vehicle is very clean......). my concerns were forwarded to corporate with response being 'out of five year warranty'. having found myself in a dilemma i had an auto body technician view the damage and his advice was to trade the vehicle. the extensive damage is not the result of normal wear and tear. this doesn't take a body technician to recognize this problem is due to inferior product of poor workmanship.

Cab leaks after rain can be a mold issue some time when turning going off curbs or hitting months you hear a banging noise the driveshaft it will pop when take off i had it grease by ford little bit better once in awhile still does. all this still go on

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford f-150. upon inspection, the contact discovered that the bottom corner of the cabin was rusted and corroded. in addition, the rocker panels were rusted. the cause of the failures was not diagnosed. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failures, but no assistance was offered. the local dealer was not notified. the failure mileage was 82,000.

On the crew cab the back passenger door will not open from either inside or outside of the truck very unsafe if you have passengers in the back seat.

I have noticed of f150 forums that from 09 to 2013 on the crew cab the passenger rear door will not open from the inside or the truck or the outside of the truck with i would think is a big safety concern.

The inside passenger door handle broke leaving the door unable to open from the inside. ford states that it is not covered under the warranty. i said it is an absolute safety hazard as the passenger is unable to exit the vehicle in an emergency and any repair should be covered under the manufacturer warranty.

With the rear defrost on the back glass exploded while driving. *tr

On january 7, 2017, the temperature outside in the evening was around 10 degrees fahrenheit. i got into my 2010 ford f150m, started it allowing the engine to warm then began driving. the snow was falling and therefore my rear window had a light amount of snow on it and was hard to see out of. i turned on my rear defrost for my power sliding window, and approximately two minutes later i heard a loud noise. i noticed a few minutes later my left rear window panel was not defrosting. i parked my vehicle overnight in my garage and in the morning realized the left rear window panel had broken. upon looking at it further i found that there was no impact from any object, and the glass fragments were being held together by the tint. i began researching for a price to get my window fixed and discovered hundreds of complaints about the window exploding when using the defrost. there had been no damage to the window prior to this evening and there was no impact to the window when it occurred. the window defroster was being operated as i have in multiple vehicles. after researching this, i found it was a very common issue. on 1/11/17, i contacted ford motor company and filed a complaint and was told to being my vehicle into a ford service facility for potential goodwill assistance. i was told by the ford motor company representative that had had heard of this glass breakage before however ford has no recalls on my vehicle for this repair. on 1/11/17, at the ford service facility the vehicle was looked at, told that the replacement would be around $1000 and they would contact ford. on 1/12/17, the service facility indicated the ford regional representative was contacted and no assistance will be provided. i again contact the ford, but was told the regional representative made the decision and nothing more would be done. on 1/13/17, i paid $585 to have the glass repaired.

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford f-150. the contact stated that the front passenger side door handle fractured from the inside. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 11v049000 (structure). the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was unknown.

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford f-150. the contact stated that the wheel wells and panels were abnormally hanging underneath the vehicle. the contact noticed that the areas where the components were located were severely corroded. the vehicle was taken to chatham ford (781 main st, shatham, ma, 02633) where it was confirmed that the vehicle experienced severe corrosion. the dealer referred the contact to the manufacturer. the manufacturer was contacted and did not assist. the failure mileage was 71,757.

Leaking water at vehicle's rear driver's side and passenger corners. leaking water from passenger's side handle. while vehicle was parked on private driveway during multiple rain storms, it was found multiple times the truck cab was leaking profuse amounts of water from the rear cab corners and front passenger side handle. when researching this discrepancy, it has been found this very problem has been reported multiple times across the country. it's stated the leak is more often than not from the truck's 3rd brake light, and the passenger side handle leak is from a leaking satellite antennae. this hazardous condition can lead to mold, rot and rust issues with the truck, as well as potentially short out electrical due to water running down the vehicle's interior frame and collecting on the vehicle's floorboard and electrical channel areas. due to the amount of complainants regarding this discrepancy, a recall should be sought and issued to fix the discrepancies.

The interior driver's door handle will not go back into position after opening thus causing the door to fling open if driver does not push the handle back into position. the vehicle was stationary yesterday when i noticed the handle did not go back. then yesterday leaving the parking lot, making a right turn my door flung open because i didn't ensure the handle was stowed. there is a recall for this item under ford #11s15 but the vin does not pull up this recall. please contact me if you need pics because the truck is at the dealership right now where they told me it does not fall under this recall when clearly it is the exact same safety issue.

Personnel / non commercial pick up purchased new by myself-less than 26k miles i live inland not by the ocean or salt air the paint is blistering with rust bubbles.

The inside passenger side door handle is stuck in the open position. passengers are forced to push the handle back into the closed position when riding. this problem is in fact listed as a recall item for the same make, model, and year of my vehicle. i contacted ford and was informed that my vehicle vin number/ factory was not included. according to the recall(nhtsa campaign #:11v049000), this defect could cause the door to fly open in an accident. although ford does not acknowledge this problem exist with my vehicle in particular or perhaps the plant where it was manufactured; this does not change the reality that it happened. i was instructed to take it to a ford dealership and have the repairs done at my own cost. my vehicle was stationary when a passenger opened the door; only to find that the handle would not go back to closed position.

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford f-150. the contact stated that water leaked inside the vehicle during inclement weather. the failure occurred without warning. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was confirmed that the leak originated from the third brake light. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 92,000.

I purchased a 2010 ford f150 xlt on 31may2010. on 15 april 2015, i noticed that condensation was accumulating on the inside of my windshield. since the windshield had previously been replace, i assumed that it had a leak, and had a new windshield installed under the warranty. again on the morning of 4 may 2015, water was accumulated on the inside of my windshield, again the windshield was replaced. on 2 nov 2015, the inside of my windshield was dripping with condensation. i got on the internet to see if anything other than a bad windshield was causing the problem. i located technical service bulletins indicating problems with the satellite antenna leaking and the third break light leaking into the cab of the truck. i then took my truck to the local ford dealer, johnson brothers ford who confirmed that i did indeed have a leak at both the antenna and break light, the truck while only having 31000 miles, was 5 1/2 years old, and out of the original warranty period, the extended warranty did not cover the problems either.i was quoted a cost of $740. to replace the light and antenna. i replaced the light my self, and they charged $440.00 to replace the antenna, i incurred another cost of $304. to have the carpets removed dried out, floor treated for any mildew, or mold, and reinstalled. i complained to ford, this is a design issue that has gone on since 1998. ford should be forced to do a recall. i also had a gallon of water on my floor after the carpets were removed. someone at the factory placed tape over the drain holes of the floor board when the truck was made. while we did have a lot of rain in texas this year, which may account for the amount of water in the vehicle, it still stands to reason no vehicle should be leaking thru antennas, or break lights. even the tsb's do not work as my antenna had silicone on the antenna from the factory. *tr

While driving on the expressway going to work, on a cold october morning. the rear defrost was on and the right side rear window exploded with an incredible popping sound

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford f-150. while attempting to enter the vehicle, the contact slipped on the wet running board and struck her face and shin on the step. the contact did not require medical attention. the manufacturer was notified of the issue. the vin was not available. the approximate failure mileage was 60,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford f-150. the contact stated that there was a water leak in the rear of the vehicle. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 27,000. the vin was unavailable.

Our 2010 ford f150 is literally rotting away in the drive way both sides of the bed have rust through at 45,000 miles it started, the truck now has apprx 58,000 miles. we purchased a ford because they were only the one of the big 3 us auto makers that didn't take the bail out from the taxpayers & we previously owned one. we have a 2008 hyundia with 102,000 miles no rust or holes, 2011 chevy silverado with 60,000 miles and a 2012 gmc sierra 80,000 and no rust or holes. ford has refused to repair the truck. this is a disgrace a truck with extremely low miles literally rotting away in the driveway. there will never be another ford in our drive unless ford steps up and fixes this. our sons that own the chevy & gmc are young and alot of vehicles to purchase in their lives, they are disgusted with the ford also. ford representative needs to see this truck!

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford f-150. the contact stated that the front passenger side door handle prematurely fractured inside the vehicle without warning. the vehicle was repaired by a mechanic. in addition, the driver side interior door handle fractured. the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 11v049000 (structure). the manufacturer was notified of the failures and provided no solution. the approximate failure mileage was 20,000.

I recently was involved in a multivehicle accident in which my 2010 ford f 150 truck was totaled. i was the person who caused it. however, i don't believe i was at fault. the conditions and symptoms which i encountered are consistent with carbon monoxide poisoning. i believe it leaked into the cab. co is an odorless colorless and tasteless gas. i lost consciousness and didn't realize what happened. this was the 4th time i lost consciousness and every time it occurred i was driving this 2010 ford f-150 truck. also, the air bag did not deploy and my chest still hurts!

Have a 2010 ford 150 after 5 years and no winter use i got body rot on the right side ,i paid to have it repaired. now the bed is just rotting away the is my first ford and last for the monies paid it should last longer then this. this doesn't count all the other money i put into the truck. it only has 86,000 miles dose ford have a recall on such a lousy body on there trucks. help could change my opinion of ford thanks (xxxx) parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

On the morning of 12/29/14, he had a heavy frost so i used my rear window defrost on my drive to work. drive was approx. 10 minutes. when i got out of the truck at work, all glass was ok. when i got back in truck to leave work, i looked in rear view mirror, i saw that the passenger side of the three piece rear window was shattered. the glass stayed in the frame and did not fall out. i had to spend over an hour on the phone with my insurance company just to file a claim, and it took the glass company two tries to install the new rear window and rewire it to make it work again. ford knows there is a problem because they have changed the design on the window along with the wiring to the window. why will ford not step up and at least admit there is a problem with the rear defrost and offer to fix it.

I left for work in the morning and i turned on the rear defrost because we had a heavy frost overnight. window was fine when i got out of truck at work. it was a 10 minute drive to work. when i got back into truck 10 hours later to leave work, i saw that the passenger side of the three piece rear window was broken. the glass did not fall out of the frame so it was not from an impact. air temp stayed just below freezing all day. had to spend roughly an hour on the phone with my insurance company and my ford dealer to get the part ordered. it will be four days till it will be fixed. i just hope nothing happens that will cause the glass to fall out of the frame. i drive my truck at least 6 days a week so i cannot be without it. please do something about this issue. *js

Right back passenger door handle spring broke. handle will not retract to normal position cannot exit the vehicle as handle does not function properly due to the broken spring. back door handle has only been used about 5 times. *js

Truck started leaking water inside both sides of the rear roof corners. *js

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford f-150. while driving approximately 40 mph, the fuel door opened independently and the check engine indicator illuminated continuously. the failure occurred on a daily basis. the vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 17,000.

I observed at least 6 areas on the roof of my truck where the paint is peeling away from the body. there is obvious rust under all the spots. i have also noticed a musty smell in my car. i took the vehicle to body shop at the dealership and they stated that since there was no perforation in the sheet metal, it was not covered under warranty. i pointed to the service technician that if it were one spot i could see that as possibly something may have chipped the paint and caused the problem but for it to happen in at least 6 areas spread out around the roof that it was a defect in material or workmanship and should be covered under the warranty. the technician said i should contact ford directly but they would probably deny the claim. based on what i found online which includes at least 7 nhtsa documented complaints as well as other complaints about paint problems with ford vehicles it would appear that ford has a problem at their factories that should be investigated. i plan to go back to the dealership now that i know about the problem with the third brake light and leaks around it, as well as contacting ford headquarters for resolution. *tr

Parked truck in a lot. left the truck and was fine at the time. i have heard of the rear windows shattering before so i'm always looking at it. get back to the truck and the window was shattered. checked security footage at the lot and could not see anyone throw or hit it with anything. not near a main road either. rear driver side window with defroster (broken side), motorized center window. *tr

2010 f-150 with 5.4 l v-8 engine, during operation of the air conditioning system the passenger side floor board to include carpet and matting were soaked. subsequent servicing by dealership found a faulty elbow and hose from air conditioning unit. dealership replaced elbow and hose and re-plumbed the hose at a cost of approximately $300. dealership noted that the elbow and hose were faulty on the invoice. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford f-150. the contact stated that the tail lights became filled with water in wet conditions. the water also seeped into the vehicle and dampened the interior. the failure occurred multiple times. the dealer stated that the rubber gasket needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was not notified. the vin was unavailable. the approximate failure mileage was 52,000.

I parked the vehicle, removed the key from the ignition, and went into my home. i heard a loud noise coming from outside the house, and when i went out, the vehicle had rolled down the road approximately 75 yards and crashed into a tree. *tr
