2014 Ford Escape

My tire got a razor blade in it while i was driving. i was unable to switch to my spare after parking in my parking structure because the standard lug wrench included did not fit over the lug nuts. the lug nuts were too big for the lug wrench provided by ford. i had to drive with a flat tire because i was unable to change it to a spare. thankfully i was able to get to a safe place, but i am concerned for the welfare of the people who get a flat tire on a highway or an unsafe area.

Was driving less than 15mph when suddenly i lost all control of steering on the front passenger side. when i was able to get help after sitting on the side of the road for 16 hours, i was informed that one of the three wheel bearings had snapped. i did a little research and found the recall for the passenger side wheel assembly and bearings. i entered my vin number and it didn't say whether or not it would be fixed. i take pride in my vehicles and keep the maintenance up to date, therefore i can say they this happened due to faulty parts and feel like i should be able to have it fixed.

The WHEELS
2013 Ford Escape

I have a 2013 ford escape. i am buying new tires from the dealership. they informed me that the lug nuts were swollen and needed to be replaced. they also said that the replacement would be no guarantee that this would not happen again and that if i have to replace a tire, the tool that is in my vehicle may be too small. i called ford and was told i am not the first and there is no update. according to the internet complaints, this has been going on since 2015 and ford has done nothing to correct the problem. ford suggested replacement with mcgard lug nuts that are supposedly high quality but may still present a problem. this may be the last ford product i purchase. how can they get away with not correcting the problem. my safety may be at risk if i am on the road and even roadside assistance may not be able to change my tire?
