The fuel delivery module has been recalled on my vehicle. i have called my ford dealership many times to have the part replaced. i had an appointment at the beginning of october to have it replaced, and when i arrived for the appointment i was informed after i showed up that they no longer had the part. i have again called multiple times since then and there state that they do not have the part.
In motion - check engine light came on, replaced 02 sensor upstream. getting 8 mpg afterwards. took it back to service dept and no codes present, live data showed purge solenoid would stick open sometimes, replaced solenoid, now getting 12 mpg, more rattle noise in the catalytic converter; $700.00 and no better than it was.
Driving and car went into power failure mode and wrench displayed on dash display. found paperwork about throttle body safety recall. decided to have safety recall 16s41 fuel module done also since it was going in for work. on sept 5, 2017 took to keystone ford chambersburg 717-264-5104. after both repairs done i was starting car to leave- had very long crank time. had service person come out to hear and he said" sounds like your starters going bad". left ford and car continued with long crank times- never had this problem before they worked on it. took back on sept 8,2017- they found nothing but said i needed new fuel pump $700.00. i complained because they had worked on the fuel pump and then it went bad!! clayton black offered me to do the fiel pump for $509 and no cost for labor. also if not fixed don't have to pay for work done. went to parson's interstate ford shippensburg for 2nd opinion. they said they could do the fuel pump for $474 which included labor! when parson's removed the fuel pump they said a ring was loose and would have eventually leaked gas- would have been dangerous. keystone didn't have it on correctly! i want keystone to pay for the fuel pump repair they caused the damage to- $499.
My 2012 ford escape was recalled october of '16. to date, i have received nothing from ford in reference to nhtsa recall #16v777 and according to the recall, it has no remedy yet. what happens when a safety recall has a birthday without a remedy? we're supposed to allow time for things to be resolved, but really??? this is a safety recall isn't it? this is to prevent the vehicle from bursting into flames due to a poorly designed fuel modulator failure right?

While driving uphill on a bridge on a city street at 40 mph engine suddenly quit and all dashboard lights came on. no previous dashboard warning lights before shut down. coasted to a parking lot. engine would turn over but not start. had car towed to dealer. fortunately no traffic at time, but if i had been on expressway or in heavy traffic the result could have been wrecks and fatalities. dealer said it was a fuel pump problem. i attached the repair report with personal info hidden. this needs to be a recall before some gets injured as could be very dangerous if occurs in heavy traffic.

Throttle body problem p2111. also transmission will jump into gear causing a lurching action and loud pop noise. moving down street when car suddenly would not accelerate. limped into autozone who ran a diagnosis and came back with p2111. then they looked it up on youtube and found how to reset it (turn key to lock, slowly (10 sec) push down accelerator paddle, hold for 10 sec, deaccelerate at same rate, turn car off and restart. it worked for a few blocks and it did it again. rinse and repeat several times to get home. last time engine symbol came on...
Get ck fuel fill inlet warning, then get chk engine light code is p0457.system does not work properly .
On two separate occasions, my 2012 ford escape has completely shut off on me while driving at about 40 mph. i had to coast to the side of the road, one time on a side road and the other on a highway while trying to accelerate, and then turn the car off and back on again. both times that seemed to correct the problem. this is an extremely dangerous defect that seems to have been reported by many other 2012 escape owners on forums/blogs.

A ford representative will be with you shortly. [xxx] says: hello [xxx]. my name is [xxx] how can i help you? [xxx] says: i need information regarding my vehicle's recall #16s41 [xxx] says: i can provide information for recall 16s41 fuel delivery module flange replacement. on your vehicle, the fuel delivery module may develop a crack in the fuel supply port, which could result in a leak. if a leak is present, you are likely to detect a fuel odor and/or visible fuel on the ground under the fuel tank. as a result ford has released this recall to repair the issue. the parts for the recall are not yet available but you will get a letter in the mail to update you on when they become available so that you can schedule an appointment at a ford dealer for the free repair. [xxx] says: do you have any additional questions? [xxx] says: sorry meant to be more specific; i know all of the above because i've been on the phone this morning with both my local dealer and ford customer service. fcs told me the parts are to be made available the second quarter of this year (from now until june) and i told him that was unacceptable because we received the initial recall letter in december and if i have to wait until june for the fdm bracket that makes the vehicle potentially unsafe for me and my family [xxx] says: i want someone higher up to talk to regarding this but fcs told me he didn't have an email or additional phone number to call, that's what i need - i need to elevate this complaint higher information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr
I have tried your phone number at least 4 times throughout the day and it rings 20 times and then goes to a busy signal. you are about as organized as the ford motor company! please call me at [xxx]. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

While driving at about 35-40 mph, the vehicle suddenly turned off. i couldn't hit the accelerator and had to coast to the side of the road. i turned the car off and back on again, and it restarted without a problem. it has done this to me a handful of times in the last 3 years, but every time i take it to a mechanic, they cannot replicate the problem and therefore cannot fix it. the ford dealerships offer to "take a look at it" for a high price, and can't tell me what's wrong either. this is extremely dangerous and could easily cause an accident at any given time. there is clearly a defect in the electrical and/or fuel system, but no one can seem to solve the problem. in my opinion, ford should order a recall of the ford escape to address this dangerous problem. there are many online forums stating customer complaints and issues identical to this, all of them stating that no one seems to bad able to figure out what's wrong or fix their vehicles. as consumers, we pay a very high price for vehicles that we depend on daily to be safe and reliable. ford should stand by its product and fix this dangerous issue to ensure the safety and satisfaction of its customers.

There is a recall on the 2012 ford escape with a fuel leak that can lead to a fire. the recall has been going on for almost 1 year, since october 24, 2016 and has yet to be fixed and owners have not been notified. i only know of the issue because i decided to look and see if there were recalls on my car. i feel like this is beyond a reasonable time frame considering the severity of the issue.
