We have classified the 481 complaints from 2010 Ford Escape about POWER TRAIN into the following categories.
I was on the right hand lane on highway when vehicle all of sudden lost power and would not accelerate. almost rear ended due to sudden loss of power. once i pulled over and waited a few seconds it started back up. after exiting and waiting at a red light and then proceeding through the intersection on green to make a left hand turn the vehicle again lost power. this has happened on at least three other occasions. when i first took vehicle to mechanic they tell me that they could not find anything wrong and after the third occurrence the wrench light finally came on and now i'm told its the throttle that shows to be stuck in open. i have been given the price from $750-$1000 for parts and labor. no recall as of todays date. the auto mechanic at the ford dealership tells me that there has been complaints but no recall so i would have to pay to have this fix. i own another ford vehicle a 2004. never had a problem and very reliable, this is extremely frustrating and bad business for customer relations when there are so many complaints about the same issue that it is obvious for this particular part the is a defect. there should be recall. this may be my last ford vehicle. *tr
Driving about 30mph and car suddenly stops accelerating and won't go, doesn't die but the"throttle control/powertrain" symbol comes on. i shut car off and restart and proceed to drive again and it happens a 2nd time. i have learned that this is happening in these models and i think something should be done about it! *tr
Was driving vehicle then all of a sudden had no pedal then the wrench came on the dashboard had to get over 2 lanes to side of road turned car motor off then turned back on was ok for a while then happened again my wife and i could very easily of been killed see where people having this problem cant believe ford hasn't re-called this was the throttle body. *tr
Was driving on the freeway and car started to jerk and i started to lose speed even though i was stepping on the gas nothing was happening. i was able to pull over safely to shoulder and put the car into park while the car was shaking violently and turn it off, waited a few minutes and with hesitation it started back up and i was able to continue home.. happened a second time the very next day only doing 25 and a wrench indicator light came on and again no gas or speed from the pedal was able to shut it off restart and continue home.. very scary and dangerous situation it needs to be addressed.. *tr
While driving my mothers 2010 ford escape, it suddenly lost all power and came to almost a complete stop. the vehicle was only able to creep along, barely allowing me to pull off the side of the road. thankfully, no one was behind me, otherwise there would have been a serious accident because as i said, it came out of nowhere and brought the vehicle from 35mph down to 2 mph in a matter of seconds. the wrench light came on the dash, indicating a "throttle control/powertrain" issue. i shut the car off, restarted it and it ran fine, however, the check engine light came on. i called my mother and it turns out that this has happened to her on 3 previous occasions, only the check engine light never came on. i had the codes checked, and that indicated "throttle actuator control (tac) system - actuator stuck open". i did a little research and it turns out that this is a very common problem and the only way to resolve it is to replace the throttle body. i found recalls from ford for throttle issues, but not this specific issue, apparently they don't consider it a safety issue. well let me tell you, it absolutely is a safety issue. if i had been out on the main road doing 55 and this happened with someone behind me, they would have slammed right into me because there is no warning. i'm replacing the throttle body to resolve the issue but ford really needs to issue a recall, it's only a matter of time before someone gets hurt, it's not just coincidence that this has happened to so many people, there is obviously a defective part. *tr
1st - vehicle was refueled with 87 octane and just drove one mile down and up a hill were it stopped at a red light. light turned green and the throttle was applied and vehicle lurched and stalled. 2nd - vehicle was driving around neighborhood going 20 mph and started to sputter and hesitate 3rd - rush hour traffic were it was stopped then throttle applied and lurched and stalled 4th - using cruise control driving 75 mph down parkway, vehicle hesitated and then quickly slowed down to 20 mph and stalled 5th - driving to dealer to figure out hesitation and stall, accelerated from red light and hesitated and stalled 6th - still enroute to dealer, check engine light is now illuminated, and vehicle stalls again only 300 feet from last stall. engine has rough idle. police officer suggested throttle body problem because his ford expedition recently had the same problem and symptoms. dealer diagnosed a bad throttle body. vehicle did not have any check engine light illuminated until the last 6th stall. every time vehicle experienced problem there was no throttle response and restart in neutral led to re-stalling. vehicle had to be stopped and re-started after transmission was placed in park. engine sputtered and was resistant to acceleration after 6th stall but slow smooth acceleration proved effective. all stalls were experienced with light to moderate acceleration. *ln
Complete loss of acceleration, but never stalled. the vehicle began shaking. we turned it off and restarted and it drove fine.
While driving approx. 40mph over a freeway overpass, the car lurched repeatedly, and slowed way down. i could not accelerate. the wrench light came on. i was able to eventually get it pulled over, turn it off and restart it. for the next day and a half, it would die almost every time i came to a stop for more than 30 seconds, or any time i tried to drive up my inclined driveway. i rested it the next day (sunday) and monday morning drove it to the dealership for repair. it did not die on the way to the dealership. now the dealership has it and they have road tested it 2 or 3 times and can't get it to repeat the problem or show codes. i've found several links online to people having the exact same problem and it turns out to be the throttle body. however, the ford dealer says they cannot fix it under warranty unless it shows them codes or repeats the behavior for them. they are not allowed to just take my word for it that this happened. as it's apparently an intermittent problem, who knows when it will happen again? so if it doesn't do it for them in the next day, i'll have to pick the car back up unfixed, and am terrified to drive it on the freeway for fear of being killed when it loses power at 65mph and causes an accident. *tr
2010 ford escape had been having an uneven idle while in drive with foot on brake. in this case, while accelerating at a stop light, the car would not accelerate and stalled with the engine and wrench light illuminating. pulled over turned key to off position put car in park and restarted. took to dealership that weekend. technician witnessed the uneven idle. no codes would show up on computer. technician re-calibrated idle. car ran smooth for 3 days and uneven idle reappeared. three weeks later when trying to accelerate from a stop sign, car went into "limp" mode; wrench light illuminated and would not accelerate. next day while driving about 55 mph with cruise set i could feel "surges" in the engine. took car off cruise, could still feel something just wasn't right. uneven idle still persists although not consistently. taking back to dealership today. have done lots of research online and believe this may be connected to all the complaints with the throttle body. *tr
The first incident happened on 09-10-13, a week after having the works and an alignment done on my car at a ford dealer. while driving 40mph, my vehicle surged and lunged, then i lost ability to accelerate my vehicle had to pull over put flashers on and restart vehicle. a yellow wrench light lit up on my dash. i looked it up in the manual which indicated a throttle problem. i called the dealership which serviced my vehicle from the side of the road and they agreed that it was a throttle problem but not to worry unless it happens again; then call to make an appointment. the second incident occurred 09-14-13 while driving at 45 mph. again i lost ability to accelerate and the wrench light lit up on my dash. i had to coast into a parking lot to restart my vehicle. i called the dealership and made an appointment to have this problem addressed. i pay for an extended service plan for my vehicle and they still told me it was not covered and that they have been having a lot of problems with vehicles experiencing the same thing. i had to pay out of my pocket to replace and fix the problem on a vehicle that is just over three years old and that is not right. the problem did not stem from my operating the vehicle. *tr
I was going home from work in a middle lane of the interstate at 60 mph. the escape starting coasting down as if the engine had died. i gave a little more gas, no effect. i gave more and more gas until floored, no effect. by now i was down to 45 mph in multiple lanes of heavy interstate traffic. it was difficult to just get into the right lane in order to get to the shoulder. on the shoulder, i found that the engine was idling, i thought it had died. i just could not rev it above the idle rpm. i turned it off & read the owner's manual which said to get to a dealer. i re-started it & revved it a bit. i cautiously drove about a mile on the shoulder to the exit, which was my exit. i carefully went home without further problems. i drove to work the next morning without problems. on the way home it happened again. on a small two-lane road with no shoulders & ditches immediately at the edge of the road. i had to stop in the middle of my lane to restart it. luckily a car coming up behind me slowed to a stop to let me get going again. i researched the "throttle control / powertrain" error message and found that it has been a common problem since 2004 for multiple ford vehicles. there were many, many complaints that ford would not honor the powertrain warranty even though the message points to a powertrain problem. warranty is for up to 36,000 miles and powertrain warranty is for up to 72,000. i had 38,000 miles on the odometer. i contacted my ford dealer. no matter how i questioned him, his response boiled down to bring it in so we can look at it. the only estimate i could get was that if warranty did not cover it, there would be a $99.99 diagnostic fee if ford did not perform any suggested repair. i found in my records that i had taken the escape in to this dealer at ~5,800 miles for a recall that stated that it would prevent this problem! *tr
Driving approximately 65 miles per hour, without warning the car just stop going the wrench light showed up on the dash, thank goodness i was able to avoid a collision by coasting off the road. the next day in heavy traffic going 35 miles per hour same thing happened , had to be pushed out of rush hour traffic, narrowly escaping being in an accident. there is no warning what so ever. on way home the car did it again as i was coasting around the corner. that's when i took i to the dealership. only to be told the part. the throttle body is on national back order. seems a recall is in order. over 700.00 to be fixed, plus possibly 3 weeks waiting for the part.
My daughter was driving to school on the hwy to school and car shut down completely which lost all power pulled over and tried to restart and had to wait places to me (father) and then it restarted then she drove on to school then she took car on to dealership and dealership performed search and found that it was a throttle body that was going out.
The vehicle needs a new electronic throttle body error code p2111. the car will lose power, the wrench light will come on, then the engine light will follow. once the car is powered off, then back on it runs again. a few minutes later the same issue occurs. *jb
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford escape. the contact stated the vehicle became hesitant to acceleration attempts while driving 70 mph. the contact shut off the engine and when restarted, the vehicle regained normal function. the wrench warning icon illuminated after the failure occurred. the vehicle was not taken to have a diagnostic performed. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure and current mileage was 57,550. .... updated 10-17-13 *bf the throttle body was replaced.
I was on i-630 crossing over to financial parkway in little rock when my vehicle lost power and would not accelerate. i was able to cross the intersection and pull into a bank parking lot where i requested a wrecker to take my vehicle to the crain ford dealership. initial testing revealed no problem but after driving the vehicle for about 15 minutes the problem re-occurred for the service technician and the problem was diagnosed as a faulty throttle body. the throttle body was replaced at a total cost of 480.97 as the warranty on the part had expired 214 miles previously. i have since become aware that this is a very common problem and is likely the result of a faulty throttle body assembly at the point of manufacture. *tr
Tl*the contact owns a 2010 ford escape. the contact stated that while driving 58 mph, the vehicle decelerated without manual force with the illumination of the check engine warning light. the failure was recurring. the contact was able to restart the vehicle. the vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was not notified. the approximate failure mileage was 66,000. ...updated 11-12-13 *bf the consumer stated the vehicle would not slow down and it would not go forward and the wrench light illuminated. updated 11/19/13
Crossing traffic to turn left, the car sputtered and practically stopped in the middle of the road with oncoming traffic. fortunately, there was enough distance that i was able to pull into the median and stop. this was about the 8th time the car had stalled in motion or suddenly surged forward but was the scariest as an accident could have easily happened if the oncoming cars were travelling faster or if i had been hurrying and trying to make the turn between vehicles. the garage says that it was the throttle body. this should be a recall issue!
Ford escape 2010, driving on the highway , the wrench light comes on and the car begins to sputter and loses power. it revs up then down. i turn off the car, wait a minute, and when i start it back it runs fine, then repeats after 20 minutes of driving. *js
Driving on highway at about 50 mph, sounded like engine shut down and the gas wouldn't work at all. thankfully, the brakes worked and i pulled over and turned the car off for a few minutes before turning it back on and driving to my mechanic who recommended going to my ford dealer. they charged me over $500 to replace the throttle body and reprogram the pcm... any recalls from ford for this? *jb
Driving on major highway during morning rush hour when traffic slowing, traffic was clearing and everyone accelerating back to speed and i tried to accelerate to speed and my escape just died. tried to restart several times, but it kept dying when attempting to accelerate. i could get it started again, but could only accelerate to 5-10 mph. i had to cross several lanes of traffic to get out of harms way, very hazardous. had to have vehicle towed and was told the electronic throttle body went out.
Last friday, august 23, my car started to shake and jerk and the engine light came on. it slowed to limp mode. i turned it off, restarted it and it did again. i had the car towed to my mechanic because it's not under warranty anymore. they said the that i had a blown water pump and thermostat, and replaced both. i got the car back from my mechanic and after only driving a few miles, the car started to jerk and the wrench light came on. it's been back to my mechanic 3 times now but the problem is not coming up on the computer because the wrench light doesn't stay on. this latest incident, the wrench and the engine light came on, but the wrench light went out while the engine light has stayed on. i am now taking it to a mechanic to have repaired because i cannot afford the prices at the ford dealership. when the car was 2 years old, i had experienced the same problem. i had to have the throttle body replaced. it was under warranty but still this is dangerous! not to mention frustrating. the car only had 24,000 miles on it. at that time, i stalled in rush hour traffic when it happened. i'm confident that this is the throttle body again, as the local dealership has seen a lot of these this summer in my year of escape. i understand that ford is aware of this and has an updated throttle body in production that will not be available until october 27 this year. i want ford to recall these vehicles. this is very dangerous and expensive!!
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford escape. the contact stated that while driving approximately 60 mph, the vehicle decelerated independently. the contact shut the engine off and was able to drive without failure after restarting the engine. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 52,000. *tr
While accelerating onto the highway, the vehicle lost all power and forward motion. it went into "limp" mode and i had to pull over. once i shut the vehicle off and restarted it, the vehicle was fine. after the ford dealer's inspection, it was deemed that the throttle body is the culprit, and needs replaced.
Extremely dangerous, life threatening malfunction!!! deserves official recall. while traveling in the evening of aug. 24, 2013, on a dark and lonely stretch of interstate 10, our 2010 ford escape uncontrollably decelerated from 60 to 0 in about 30 seconds. what, likely, saved our lives, was that we were in the right lane and were able to access the shoulder of this interstate quickly, without causing a collision. we coasted to an involuntary dead stop. after waiting about 15 minutes in the darkness on the shoulder with our emergency lights flashing, fearing for our safety, we restarted the car and made it back home about an hour away without further incident. this hour drive felt like forever due to the threat of this reoccurring. the warning light sign on the dashboard was a little wrench, which, according to our owner's manual is a "throttle control/power train" fault that required immediate attention by a ford dealer. we were nowhere near a ford dealer during this incident, and after careful consideration, think it best to stay away from ford dealers, permanently, after an official recall is issued. this "fault" is very serious and dangerous, and tragically, some unsuspecting people, including children, will probably end up getting killed as a result. ford needs to take immediate action to recall the affected ford escapes and fix this to prevent future loss of life. *tr
While driving in heavy city traffic at 35-40 mph, engine lost power and died making it very hard to brake and steer. i was able to steer into a turn lane without incident but was lucky not to be hit in the rear. this could be especially dangerous at highway speeds if you are unable to get off of the road. vehicle was able to be restarted after waiting about 5 minutes. this is the second time in as many days that this has occurred. internet research shows that ford has had numerous complaints regarding this issue and the nhtsa is investigating this problem. *tr
Was driving on the expressway at 70-75 mph. suddenly lost power and car started to vibrate. was able to pull over without incident but could have been a bad accident as i was in the passing lane. once i pulled over i notice the wrench light was on which indicates a powertrain problem. the dealer states that it's the electronic throttle body. this vehicle had a similar problem about a year ago. the throttle control module had to be replaced. fortunately at that time the car was still under warranty. with this incident the car is over warranty by 300 miles. *tr
I was driving down the street and the foot pedal did not work. the engine was running but could not get the car to go. i had to pull over and turn off the engine, waited for a few minutes started up again, within a few blocks it did it again, i was able to coast down the street to a parking lot. i did the same thing i did earlier all i can do is coast no power in the gas pedal just coast with engine going. *js
2010 ford escape stalled out while driving 40 mph. i was nearly rear ended by ups truck. took to dealer for service they replaced the throttle body and charged me $500.77. *tr
I had just left work yesterday 0821/2013 and was driving maybe 40 mph. my 2010 ford escape just died on me. i had driven but a half mile. i coasted into a parking lot, turned it off. i checked under the hood and all looked ok so i tried starting it. after some hesitation, it did start. i drove it straight to my mechanic. he could not find anything wrong so i picked it back up. this morning 08/22/2013 it did it again when i was turning through an intersection, not a mile from my house. i was almost hit by an oncoming car. it did it again, on the highway, about 10 miles later. this time the check engine light came on. i drove it straight to my mechanic because i knew he should now be able to pull something up on the computer. he was able to confirm that the throttle needed to be replaced. he did tell me to call the ford dealership to see if there was a recall but there wasn't. he felt bad and gave me a great deal, $410, to replace it. ford needs to do something!!! *tr
I was coming to a stop light near work when engine suddenly shifted into limp home mode. was in a construction zone with only one lane. the yellow wrench light came on. i was able to pull slightly over and after completely shutting off the vehicle, was able to get it restarted. *tr
On 2 occasions my 2010 ford escape lost throttle power while driving. this has happened once while starting to accelerate and once while driving 45 mph. the yellow toolbar lights up on the instrument panel and the car essentially loses power and i'm unable to drive forward. after further investigation we need to replace the throttle body which cost $345 (not covered by warranty and no recall). in my opinion this should be a recalled part considering how common this problem appears to be and more importantly the extremely dangerous position it leaves you on the road when the throttle body fails. *tr
Ford escape 2010 stalling. wrench light turns on. i have to carefully get off the road and stop the vehicle completely. turn off the engine and then turn back on. it will run ok until next time. looks like every 3-5 miles. this is very dangerous and needs to be recalled asap. *tr
While driving at approx 45mph, the vehicle's throttle dropped to idle speed. the accelerator would not allow the car's rpm's to increase despite pushing it to the floor. the car did not stall, but rather was in a sudden state of idle. after car's ignition was shut off, the car restarted without problem. however, the incident happened again the following day, nearly causing a serious accident as it happened in the midst of heavy traffic and there was nowhere to move the car. we took it to the dealer who could find nothing abnormal on the diagnostic computer. however based on the description of the problem, the dealer replaced the throttle body today and reprogrammed the power train control module at a cost of over $500. *tr
Vehicle abruptly stalled with check engine light on, at highway speed. an accident was barely averted. car was taken to dealership and diagnosed as a faulty throttle body. the defective throttle body was replaced. vehicle only has 32k miles. research shows that this is a common problem. *tr
While driving at approx 65mph on freeway, the vehicle's throttle dropped to idle speed. the accelerator would not allow the car's rpm's to increase despite pushing it to the floor. the car did not stall, but rather was in a sudden state of idle.the "wrench" icon flashed on, then "check engine light" and my car went from 65 to 5mph in a matter of seconds. after car's ignition was shut off, the car restarted without problem. however, the incident happened again after reentering freeway nearly causing a serious accident. dealership was able to confirm that the throttle needed to be replaced, but not under powertrain warranty. research shows that this is a common problem. this is very dangerous and needs to be recalled asap. *tr
Driving my car home and the car lost power, i could not get any power with the gas pedal, coasted down my street (about 3 mph) was able to get the car into my driveway. called west herr garage the next morning, they ordered a flat bed tow truck to bring the car in ( the little wrench showed up on the dash board) the garage found it was the throttle. the serviceman told me that they were having trouble with the throttles in the escapes and fusion's and i asked if there was a re-call - he said no. so now i am asking you, is there a re-call? i take care of my vehicles and don't abuse them, so why did this throttle go bad and with no warning? on aug.13th i had the oil changed and tires rotated, came home and parked the car in the driveway and found later that the car was leaking oil very bad. had to take the car in and they said that something was not on tight they did send someone out to my house to clean the driveway.please let me know if there is a re-call. I was driving 78mph on a major interstate surrounded by traffic at the same speed. suddenly the "wrench" icon flashed on and my car went from 78 to 5mph in a matter of seconds. it was an extremely dangerous situation for myself as well as other drivers. i flipped my flashers on and was able to pull to the shoulder. i killed the engine and restarted, made it to my exit where it happened a second time. the next day the battery was dead so we replaced and took to a garage to have everything checked. a diagnostic was run and they couldn't find anything. i drove it back and forth to work for 4 days when it started happening again. this time in a major intersection during rush hour causing traffic issues and congestion. we once again took it in today, 8/26/2013, they changed the air filter and again said nothing was wrong. i took it for a test drive. drove it about 20 miles when it started in again! this time the check engine light is staying on and the "wrench" light which we found out is powertrain again came on. the engine never dies, in fact it seems to rev at times but the gas peddle has no control of the vehicle. i am scared to drive my vehicle not only for my own safety but for all those around me. ford is not currently showing a recall for our vin # but from my research this seems to be a common problem. it seems this is a major problem that ford needs to recognize and take responsibility for. *tr
Car stalled while i was driving over the railroad track. after barely got it to go over the railroad (luckly train didn't come while i was barely moving) pulled over to side and shut the car off and started back up. wrench looking light and engine check light came on while it was trying to stall, it happened 2more times while trying to make it back home. after few checking around it is caused by the faulty throttle body. *tr
Driving in a parking lot 36k miles and then throttle pedal acted useless, engine idled down rough. power train light came on (wrench). turned off the ignition, restart the suv it took longer to catch then normal. drove fine for about 30 more miles till i got to the dealership. i was told it needed a new throttle body and it was a 670$ fix. *tr
The vehicle is a 2010 ford escape. driving my 2010 escape the engine stalled. the speed i was going was about 20 mph. with no prior warning the wrench light came on, the rpm's fluctuated and i could not accelerate the vehicle. the dealer said it could be a number of things but after investor i found in the internet very similar behavior with other ford escapes and it said that at the end it was the electronic throttle body needed to be replaced i waited after 3 days with my car at the dealership and called them and told them to check the throttle body. they confirm that it needed to be replace, but i told them and yet i had to pay for diagnostics and the replacement of the throttle at my expense as it was not under warranty. this engine stall issue occurred 08/17/2013 to 08/19/2013 ( 5 times). *tr
I was driving at approximately 60 mph when my gas pedal suddenly would not work. when i pulled over to a complete stop my steering was vibrating pretty bad. the wrench showing that something was wrong with my powertrain was lit up. i turned off the ignition and restarted my car and was able to drive it home. about a week later it happened again. my vehicle is now sitting at the dealership where it has been waiting for over 2 weeks for the throttle body to be replaced and i am told the part is on back order.
While traveling on the interstate at 70 mph, the throttle control stopped. the engine maintained running but there was no throttle control. i was forced to cut across traffic while losing speed to reach the shoulder. after stopping, turning off the car and restarting all control returned. i took car to ford dealer and upon a diagnostic was determined that code p2112 and the etb failed. *tr
My vehicle started shaking and the wrench light came on i pulled over and turned it off, restarted it and was able to drive home the next day it happened again and i drove it into the dealer that i had just purchased the vehicle from 6 weeks earlier and they determined it was the throttle motor. the vehicle is still under warranty but they want me to pay for half of repair and i have discovered this is a common problem in this vehicle and i am afraid if they put in the same part i will continue to have this problem down the road. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford escape. the contact stated that while driving 55 mph, the vehicle decelerated without manual force. the failure recurred on several occasions. the vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was not notified. the approximate failure mileage was 80,000.
Car stalled with a wrench on dashboard. had to turn the car off and on again. took longer to start. *tr
I was driving from san diego to orange county on interstate 5, which is always a very busy highway around 50 mph when the car did a slight hesitation and then a quick surge and then lost power. it did not die but was only moving at 4 mph and the gas pedal did not have any power, no response at all. i was in lane 4 of a 5 lane highway and finally was able to get to the left and pull off in the center of the interstate. i turned off the ignition and set there for a few minutes trying to gain my composure. the car started right up and seemed to be okay. i took the car to the ford dealer the next morning and they said it was a throttle body problem but would take 8 days to get the part and it is not covered by the warranty. the throttle body unit usually does not have to be replaced until 100,000 miles. i have 34,000 miles and maintain my car as recommended by the ford motor company at my ford dealership. i believe the unit must be defective and should be recalled before someone is seriously injured or killed. it was extremely scary not knowing if at any minute another vehicle would run into the back of my car going 4 mph on a busy interstate! *tr
Vehicle lost power in thruway traffic. engine continued to run, but not able to maintain speed. yellow service engine light and red wrench light appeared on dashboard. had to turn off vehicle and wait to start. then power was fine for another 10 or so minutes, then the same thing happened again.very dangerous in heavy traffic. *tr
I was driving along i30 and gas pedal stopped working. i had to cross over 2 lanes of traffic to get out of the way. my car was idling roughly and gas pedal still did not make my car go. i turned car off. my car would start but when it got past 30 mph, the gas pedal stopped working again. i called my husband and he brought our truck and trailer, and we hauled it home. *tr
Wrench light lit up on the dash, car decelerated and stopped in the roadway and traffic. engine was still running, but no response from the gas pedal. turned the car off for 10 minutes. started again and drove it home. could have been a dangerous situation on a more crowded roadway. based on internet research, a recall on the throttle body should be issued. *tr
