We have classified the 151 complaints from 2007 Ford Edge about POWER TRAIN into the following categories.
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 ford edge. the contact stated that the service engine warning indicator illuminated. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was remedied under nhtsa campaign number: 14v682000 ( fuel system, gasoline) however the failure recurred. in addition, the vehicle also operated abnormally. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the #6 coil pack, #3 coil pack, and the pcm needed to be replaced. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 148,000.
Driving at 55mph in heavy traffice vehicle all of a sudden lost power and pressing the gas pedal did nothing. car jerked and shuddered and was like it was in neutral. almost caused a serious collision. turned car off and t he back on and was bale to go as long as i stayed under 30mph. vehicle would sporadically "rev" up when i pressed the gas but would not have extra power. had transmission fluid checked, level was perfect. left the service shop and was stopped at a red light and went to accelerate and it acted as if it were in neutral again, in the middle of a busy road. had to have sheriff's department redirect traffic due to my car blocking 2 lanes. had to be towed away.
2007 ford edge looses power. speedometer goes to 0. exclamation mark, air bag and tool light comes on. motor revs up to high rpm. i understand this is a sensor issue with this particular vehicle. and it is a very common happening with this vehicle. with the vehicle shutting down without any indication that it is about to happen. this happens at highway speeds as well as in town speeds. i think ford should investigate this issue and issue a recall. thank you *tr
A few weeks ago, i noticed there was a noise coming from somewhere that sounded like a wheel bearing, i took it to a few places to have it checked out. they came up with different things, finally i got to the right place and they figured out that it was the ptu. they said the seal had leaked all the oil out and destroyed the bearings. you don't know the oil is leaking out as it goes into the exhaust and evaporates. they were able to find me a used one that they went through and found it to be good. cost was $1,800 to replace. as i understand, ford has covered up this problem for many years. i have seen many similar problems in the complaint section for edges and nothing has been done. i think ford should be made to re-imburst all complaints with this problem. i am on a fixed income an this unexpected expense kept us from our vacation to visit our family in pennsylvania and i am very upset.
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 ford edge. while the vehicle was idling, the accelerator pedal was depressed but the vehicle failed to accelerate. the wrench warning light illuminated. the vehicle was restarted. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure could not be duplicated. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 136,400. updated 11/19/15*lj
When the car is stopped on an incline, if you let off the brakes the car will roll backwards and when you give it gas the transmission jerks real loud into gear.
The vehicles transmission slips then bangs into gear when accelerating after a rolling stop, accelerating from low speeds up hill, or at any speed after coasting down a hill and having to rev up to go back up a hill. car feels like a rear end collision occurred.
Highway speed the car suddenly slowed down. speedometer dropped to zero, information panel went blank, powertrain malfunction/reduced power light came on, airbag front light came on. pulled car to shoulder as soon as possible and shut key off. restarted car and everything appeared normal except car had very little power to move until about 10 mph was reached when a hard transmission shift put car into gear and all became fully operational. this happened three times in a one week period of time, always at highway speeds. subsequent research by independent mechanic indicated this a common problem requiring replacement of two speed sensors in transmission at cost of $629.00.
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 ford edge. while driving at various speeds, the tire pressure warning light illuminated and the vehicle decreased in speed. the contact noticed an abnormal noise from the transmission when switching gears. the contact also stated that the brakes were inoperable when the brake pedal was being depressed. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was not diagnosed or repaired. the failure occurred intermittently. the manufacturer was not aware of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 111,000.
I notice oil leaking i put on jack stands to examine so i did some research and i have what's called the ptu which is part of the transfer case for the awd it appears there is an inner seal and outer seal. it looks like it's the outer seal leaking from the ptu the side that the cv axle is on connected to passenger tire. i called ford and they want 1200-1500 dollars to fix a seal that's not recalled. it's known to be happening to all ford edges i have no warranty on the vehicle which makes it harder to afford to pay for the repair. *tr
About 3 weeks ago my 2007 ford edge began to leak a fluid which i thought may have been transmission fluid. once i noticed the leak i stop driving the vehicle. i took it into the local ford dealer (where i purchased the vehicle) and i was told i needed to have the transfer case replaced. this is very expensive repair so i decided to see if this issue had occurred in other 2007 ford edges. the problem seems to be very prevalent but ford has decided to levy this expense to the customer rather than admit there is a real issue with this vehicle's drivetrain. i would like to challenge ford to do what mazda has done with the "sister" vehicle and cover the cost of this repair. *tr
The ptu is overheating and spilling out the breather tube. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 ford edge. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 14v682000 (fuel system, gasoline) and stated that the parts were not available. the dealer did not provide a specific date for when the parts would become available. in addition, the contact noticed the presence of a leak under the vehicle and indicated that it was near the transfer case and the axle. the vehicle was not inspected or diagnosed. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 77,000.
I have a 2007 ford edge. my wife was drive and with no warning or notification the car started shaking, sputtering, and lost all power. the shop i took it to says the pcm and 3 ignition coils need to be replaced. i have found online hundreds of people with the same problem on the same car. i contacted ford about a recall and was told it is my problem. i have always been a ford man, i have owned 7 but now will never buy one a again. *tr
Drives fine and that at times acts as if it is stuck in gear or neutral. i bought the car as a certified pre-owned and within one year had total transmission failure. warranty company replaced, and now the transmission is acting as if it is stuck in gear inconsistently. sometimes it drive perfect and then when i am drive around town it acts as if it is stuck in gear. *tr
I have a 2007 ford edge with very low mileage to date. this is usually my family car, driven by my wife. we live in guatemala and drove to a house on the beach, that is about 100 miles away. on january first when we were returning i started the car and noticed a shake and sputter, and i thought that it was probably a defective spark plug. i managed to drive out of where we were and as soon as we got to the main highway i had to stop and call for a tow. the shaking and sputtering were frightening. the shop i took it to says that at least 3 ignition coils need to be replaced and are not sure if the pcm also has to be replaced. unfortunately, since there are parts stock problem here, i had to wait almost a month to get the parts and now that i have them (the coils) i still have to wait to see what the real problem is. i have contacted the dealer in the region to see what can be done. i had to report this as it is not a unique problem tobuyers in the us, also abroad. *tr
I filed the original complaint (10680995) on february 3rd, but i wanted to edit or update it, but couldn't find the way, so i am taking the liberty to post a new one. it has been 2 and a half months since the incident and as a disgrace it has not been possible for the ford dealer in central america to get the computer module part. can you imagine this amount of time without your vehicle, specially if it is your working tool? the following was my statement in the first report: "i have a 2007 ford edge with very low mileage to date. this is usually my family car, driven by my wife. we live in guatemala and drove to a house on the beach, that is about 100 miles away. on january first when we were returning i started the car and noticed a shake and sputter, and i thought that it was probably a defective spark plug. i managed to drive out of where we were and as soon as we got to the main highway i had to stop and call for a tow. the shaking and sputtering were frightening. the shop i took it to says that at least 3 ignition coils need to be replaced and are not sure if the pcm also has to be replaced. unfortunately, since there are parts stock problem here, i had to wait almost a month to get the parts and now that i have them (the coils) i still have to wait to see what the real problem is. i have contacted the dealer in the region to see what can be done. i had to report this as it is not a unique problem tobuyers in the us, also abroad". so far, i do not know when the part will be available. last friday it was still in backorder in the ford plant, or so they say. i dont know either how much is going to cost, but at this rate i just want to get rid of that piece of junk. i have provided a florida contact as there is no access to other countries. *tr
On or around 11/29/2014 i was driving my family in our 2007 ford edge on the freeway, traveling approx. 70 mph, when the system display read something referring to o/d transmission message of some sort. i lost drive train power and coasted to an exit ramp while the vehicle struggle to maintain drive. a short time later i was able to park in a parking lot, and when i shifted the lever into park it passed by reverse and shifted violently. i tried to shift to drive with the same result. i contacted avis ford where we purchased the vehicle, told them what happened, and they informed me that their service center was backed up on transmission repairs for a recall till february 2015! i found atransmission shop who, ran a diagnostic check, and drove my vehicle with me in it, and said there wasn't anything he could see. i called my salesman, he tried to see what he could do. he later informed me if i could somehow get the vehicle home, to unhook the battery, wait for an hour, and hook it back up that this would reset the pcm module, and maybe correct the issue. it appeared to remedy the symptom, until today when my wife arrived at her office, and as she was pulling in to park the same message appeared, with the same symptoms. unfortunately this is our only vehicle, and i'll have to wait and see what to do next. i have contacted my dealer. i also calle ford motor co.'s customer service today to see if there were any recalls for these symptoms, and the representative stated that there were none for that. but did give me a recall on gas tank straps, and a case #[xxx]. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).' *tr
I have had an ongoing problem with the wrench looking light coming on then the vehicle loses power. when i push the gas you have to push the gas pedal all the way down to get it to creep to go to the side of the road. i have to pull over and shut the vehicle off when it restarts then the vehicle will go. this last time the vehicle got me stranded on the side of the road for 2.5 hours until the tow truck got there and towed it to the dealership. the dealer started it two days late and everything was fine. i had it to the shop previously to try and get this diagnosed and they could not find the problem. i have read hundreds of complaints involving the same thing. ford should look at what is causing this problem and open a claim to take care of these issues. *tr
At a stop, the car would not accelerate, loud clunking sound, airbag light turned on. would not move, had to completely turn off car for a few seconds, only moved a few feet before it did again. next day same problem. *tr
The 2007 ford edge awd 93,000 miles developed a slight humming in the front end, it actually sounded like a cupped tire or a wheel bearing. we immediately called our mechanic and had it inspected. upon inspection he informed us that the ptu was ruined, we have had this vehicle from new and serviced it as required and only drive it on the highway approx 45 miles per day. it turns out that the ptu (transfer case) overall has a issue with the seals that hold the fluid (outer seal=gear oil, inner seal= tranny fluid) inside the unit, the mechanic said that he's done so many of the seal replacements that at one point that was all he was doing in a day at the dealership. the real issue is that when the seal goes you can't tell because it leaks directly onto the exhaust and burns off as your driving. if we were informed of the leaky seal we could have had the seals replaced for about $200, but unfortunately we found out the hard (expensive) way $2000. im a person that takes car maintenance very seriously, we have a construction company and have had about 14 different ford models over the years, and its becoming more apparent any ford built after 2004 is filled with issues (to me factory defects) that they aren't taking responsibility for. i wish i was notified of the issue with the seal as i would have about $ 1800 dollars more in my bank account. *tr
Car sat un-driven in garage for 9 days. when car was taken out and driven, the car would not move forward. speed shown car going 55 miles and hour but it was not moving. put car in reverse and it would move. put car in drive and low gears and car would move forward very slowly. car had to be towed to the dealership. dealership stated only fix was to replace the transmission. meaning a lot of money had to be spent to fix the car. this is a very clean car and taken in for regular turn-ups, with low miles for the age of the car. there was no indication of anything being wrong with the transmission prior to this incident. according to reports, ford has had many issues with the transmissions. ford needs to take the stand and take care of this problem, before there area any fatalities. *tr
Generally, shortly after starting the vehicle sometimes i would come to a stop, and when i attempted to go the engine would rev but the car would not move. it was like it was in neutral, and there is an orange wrench that lights up on my dashboard. when placing the car back into park there would be a hard shift on the engine. after turning the car off for a few seconds and restarting, it would work like normal. it does it very sporadically, sometimes once every couple months sometimes a couple times a week. it seems very random. today it did it to me while i was driving down the road at 40mph. it was the first time it had done this while i was driving. when it happened there was a sputter from the engine, like a hard shift, and then i noticed the orange wrench light came on and it felt like it was in neutral. i have taken it to get checked but the mechanics cannot duplicate the problem and there are no error codes that come up. my research online says that it seems to be a common problem with the power transfer units seals leaking, but i would think that problem would cause the car to not work when restarted. not to mention the other symptoms of a leak, including smell, are not present. the other solution commonly mentioned is replacing sensors, but then a lot of those reviews say they end up replacing so many sensors and then it still happens.
2007 edge sel, on the instrument panel an "odo data error" appeared. the "wrench and airbag" lights were lit up as well. hard clunk shifting into drive, car had no power ran rpm higher started to slowly roll. turned off car, unconnected battery cable, connected back and started up instrument panel read out was now correct and put into drive and it did a few hard shifts as we drove out, but ran fine all the way home. i see many others stating this same thing! i will take this in again as i had already taken for hard shifts, but they found nothing. this time looks like oss and tss from all the reading i have done on this issue. *tr
Persistent smell and leaking transfer case that spread throughout under side of the vehicle and all over my driveway. verified through ford dealership: ptu fluid leaking from the input shaft seal and from upper vent port. fluid sample dirty/gritty with metal. costly repair/replacement charge of ptu assembly, close to $1500. i'm putting in this complaint because i heard a lot of people experiencing similar issue with this make, model and year. please consider investigating, and if this happened to someone else please put in your complaint so it will go to investigation, thank you! *tr
To whom it may concern, i have noticed numerous 2007 ford edge owners with the same issue i had recently, leaking transfer case ptu unit. i also noticed this same issue is happening with lincoln's and mazda's of same model type. i believe mazda has offered owners some sort of compensation/recall/extended warranty for this manufactured defect. my question is what is ford going to do about this very expensive repair that owners have to pay for that is a manufacturer defect? i did have it replaced for a pretty penny and now i hear a clanking noise when i turn that was not there before the repair. sincerely, very concerned and frustrated loyal customer *tr
I started off to work, going about 10mph pushed the brake for a stop sign and my car jerked forward. when trying to leave the stop sign my car was sluggish to take off and then shifted hard, wouldn't go over 30mph, engine revving high and loud. i pulled over, turned off the car and waited.. i made it to work with a sluggish car and no speed over 32mph. took to three places to have scanned and everywhere says there's nothing wrong/no codes showing. local dealership says a month before i can get in to be scanned there. after searching i am concerned that there has not been a recall for 2007 ford edge concerning the transmission solenoid or sensors?! this is a huge safety issue and seem that it could be rather pricey since people have to dig around the transmission to find the issue because no codes are showing.. i need this fixed :( *tr
I was turning a corner slowly when the car halted abruptly and slid slightly on the gravel road. i was surprised and got out of the car and observed the front driver side wheel was askew and not mounted onto the car. the ball joint was broken totally apart. the axle was broken, i had not hit anything in the road. the roadway was clear. the front driver side ball joint and axle had broken apart. the car had to be towed to a garage. the ford garage said there was no manufacturer recall on the ball joint. this event could have resulted in serious injury or death. i feel fortunate to be uninjured but i want this event noted because i have seen that you investigated the ford edge 2007 for this failure in 2009. please reopen this investigation *tr
Will be driving along at any speed and car will not accelerate, it does not stall but wrench light comes on and you can't do anything until you shut off the car and restart it. this has happened numerous times and hasn't caused an accident yet, but most certainly will eventually. this problem is well known, but is phrased as stalling when it truly doesn't stall, accelerator just doesn't work and car slows down quickly in traffic. *tr
Vehicle would not accelerate after stopping at busy intersection. after shifting from park to drive it begin to move at slow speed. ver dangerous due to amount traffic.replaced turbine shaft speed sensor and output shaft speed sensor by ford dealer. *tr
Transmission sporadically shifts hard and chugs. as yet there are no warning indications on dash or complete loss of power but this seems to be a recurring problem with many ford edge owners. because problem is sporadic there are problems with diagnosis and of course ford doesn't admit that there is anything wrong. this could be a potentially dangerous safety concern if the vehicle were to malfunction under certain conditions. there is some belief that the problem is caused by sensors or solenoids on the transmission but again the problem is very hard to diagnose. no recalls at this time but this problem seems to have been around for a long time. and as usual the ford customer care reps say they feel your pain but are not willing to help. *tr
My 16 year old daughter was driving to school. she was in a 45 mile per hour zone. a car pulled out in front of her so she let off of the gas. when she pushed on the gas again her car would not go. the rpms went way up but the car wouldn't go. the wrench (check engine light) came on. she was able to pull to the side of the road. she turned the car off and it made one loud pop/puff noise. once she turned the car back on it was fine. this has since happened three more times. when i looked on the internet it appears this is a common problem with the ford edge. this is a huge concern to me. there needs to be a recall to address this problem as there could be serious accidents as a result of ford's negligence. they know it is a problem, make them fix it before someone is injured or killed. *tr
I was driving my vehicle and noticed it jerking and hesitating to accelerate. the engine light became blinking rapidly and i noticed a burning smell. i took my car to a shop, who stated that one of the coils had melted and cracked. they replaced the coils and all spark plugs. picked my vehicle up and still had the same issues, constant jerking, engine light still on, and still not wanting to accelerate. took vehicle back the following day, shop stated the pcm was bad and needed to be replaced. i then contacted a local ford dealership, who claimed they had never heard of this issue, and i would need to pay for them to run their own diagnostics on it, even though i was well aware of what was wrong with it. as of right now the car is still not fixed, and runs horribly. i refuse to spend anymore money on a problem that ford is well aware of!!! *tr
While driving approximately 35 mph and slowing down, the car suddenly jerked forward like someone rear ended me. parked the car and tested next day, same result. made appointment with local ford service department. they pulled codes p0720 and p0722 and followed tsb 07-21-11. did not fix problem. replaced output speed sensor and turbine speed sensor. problem still exists after bill of $1145.31 and now car will only drive in 1st and 2nd gear so it is almost useless. *tr
I was driving my 2007 ford edge with 3 children in it when all of a sudden i lost the ability to not only accelerate but my speed suddenly fell from 45 miles an hour to 15 miles an hour without any ability to accelerate. my car was in a constant state of shaking and sputtering and increased when applying the brakes. there was something significantly wrong and it was pretty scary to experience particularly with 3 small children. i had the car towed to my automotive service company where the car's software system displayed codes indicating two ignition codes failed. subsequently, the service provider replaced all the spark plugs and two coils. the car was not fixed and it was further determined that the pcm board is sending extremely high current to the ignition coils and could have caused an engine fire. this is very distressing. ford has issued an internal tsb acknowledging this issue but has not enacted a recall. the estimated cost to replace the pcm, spark plugs and coils (6) is approximately $3,000. additionally in my research there is a class action lawsuit that has been filed by a group of ford owners. *tr
Car is skipping or jerking when going up hills. happens multiple times when car is moving up hills. most likely transmission problem or sensor problem. *tr
Driving down interstate highway, speedometer drops to zero then dash lights all come on. get off highway pull over and car does not move. wait about 20 minutes, put car in d, hear loud bang, car lunges forward a little then drives normally. second time it happened was on highway at @60mph when same thing happens, get off highway and stop at 2nd red light when the car does not move at all. let car sit for @10 min. then it starts going @10mph, after about 1 mile resumes normal operation. have brought to local ford dealer and had 2 sensors replaced along with a transmission fluid exchange but now today it happened again when i stopped at busy back road intersection then tried to resume speed the veh. would not move. e-mailed local ford dealer to let them know that issue was happening once again after sensors were replaced. prior to ford also had sears look at veh. where they determined it was a sensor but could not determine which one. now that the vehicle is back to me it also seems to have alot of hesitation on wanting to go. this vehicle has never seemed to be the best transmission and i have a big concern about how many other people have similar issues with this vehicle. i wonder what would happen to somebody who keeps driving it without getting off the road? i am concerned for the safety of my family, myself, others who own this vehicle, and others on the roadway around these vehicles when there is a problem. the posts i keep seeing all reflect the same issue and all too often they are told that they cannot find anything wrong with the vehicle, will it take a major accident or death for this concern to be addressed? a vehicle should not keep stopping or producing loud bangs after it stops moving and i think there appears to be enough evidence from enough people who have voiced their issues with this problem to warrant immediate action on this matter.
2007 ford edge. consumer writes in regards to vehicle transmission problems. *smd the consumer stated on june 25, 2014, the vehicle was towed to the dealer to diagnose an issue that had occurred on more than one occasion. it was determined by the dealer, the transmission needed to be replaced. the consumer stated the first time she noticed a problem, occurred while driving in heavy stop-and-go-traffic in the center lane. all of a sudden, the rpm's dropped to zero and the vehicle abruptly stopped. she placed the vehicle in park and luckily it started. it ran a bit sluggishly for a few miles and then resumed to normal operation. the consumer stated the incident happened a second time. *jb
Pulling out into traffic and experienced very harsh shifting. the transmission shuttered and shook, almost refusing to go through the intersection. *tr
My vehicle all of a sudden started to slow down suddenly like i had taken my foot off the gas. it started shuddering and my transmission light came on. i thought it was the transmission so i had it towed to the shop. after diagnosis, it showed my cylinders were misfiring. it was due to a bad coil which was causing the spark plugs to read at an extremely high voltage. they needed to replace all coils and all spark plugs. then found out that it fried my pcm(computer) which also had to be replaced. come to find out, this is a know issue with the 2007 ford edge and there is a tsb on it for this exact situation. the dealership told me that the pcm had a malfunction which caused the coils/spark plugs to go bad. they also said the pcm has a manufacturer 8 year/80,000 mile warranty. well i was at 7 years/83000 miles and when they submitted the warranty claim, ford denied it forcing me to pay $2400 for the repairs. i think this is ridiculous to deny a known malfunction for only 3000 miles over. what if i had been on the highway when my vehicle suddenly came to a stop? i had my son with me that day and this could have caused a major accident, possibly involving other drivers, and we may have even been injured. and ford doesn't feel responsible to help with the cost of this repair?? *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 ford edge. the contact stated that the vehicle experienced the same failure listed in the recall for the power train. the vehicle was diagnosed, but not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in the recall. the nhtsa campaign number was unknown. the failure mileage was 127,000.
I was going to work.my car then jerked and stopped. i almost got rear ended because it just lost power. i was told the transmission was bad ..i went to the dealer and they will only help if i pay 4500 dollars, i did not get the warranty ,,i only had the car less then 2 months, now the car has to sit and i lost my job. i red reviews and all reviews said they had transmission replaced.fyi i was not offered a warenty. this car should have a recall.i will have to get a lawyer and see if this matter can get resolved. *tr
I noticed when i get to about 40 miles per hour my car doesn't want to shift into next gear. took to a ford dealership and was told it was ptu valve. cost to fix is 1350.00. *tr
2007 ford edge has been shifting gears heavy (especially low) and getting worse. last week it should have down shifted to 2nd but instead up shifted to like 4 or 5th gear and i lost any real power to get up the hill. the noise itself was a very noticeable bang and shudder. this is apparently happening to other because there's youtube videos of the exact same thing. *tr
Went from reverse to forward, acted like there were no lower gears. was able to limp home about 1 mile. put it into reverse, loud bang, shook entire car, backed into car port, shutoff car, then no restart. massive amount of obd codes, had mechanic remove transmission, torque converter failure and thrust bearing destroyed, i feel very lucky that transmission didn't fail on highway causing me to have an accident on my way to work as a childrens swim instructor. *tr
The transmission feels like it is in neutral. it jerks like someone has ran into your vehicle with their vehicle. several warning lights come on. speedometer goes to zero. if you come to a stop, you may not get going again. had this checked out and replaced a sensor costing me $425.00 and less than 2 weeks later, problem occurs again. had this checked out and now they are hollering another sensor has went bad and this one is going to cost $600.00. did not have this one fixed!! also had to have vehicle towed home one time costing even more money.... *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 ford edge. while driving 60 mph, the pcm malfunctioned and the vehicle stalled without warning. the vehicle was taken to be repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 180,000. the vin was not available. updated 05/31/17*lj *tr
Ptu unit developed a leak, was nearly empty of oil by the time the dealer could repair. dealer says ptu needs to be replaced for ~$1600. this seems to be an extremely common problem. this should be repaired under recall. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 ford edge. the contact stated that extreme pressure had to be applied to the accelerator pedal in order for the vehicle to respond. additionally, the vehicle would exhibit an abnormal noise when in reverse or changing gears. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who was unable to diagnose the problem. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 97000.
2007 ford edge;mileage 63153 leaked fluid/burning rubber odor was emitted from under the hood area. service vehicle:find internal seal leaking in ptu. not serviceable. need to replace ptu. *tr
