Hi on new years eve my brakes failed and i hit a dog going 45 mph then on jan 5 a 18 wheeler came over on me and i hit my brakes going 70 mph on interstate but never slowed down it did make a mark in the road but no.sounds or anything. i got over as much as i could i hit the guardrail then spun in two lanes and hit the other guardrail. not one airbag came out. a few months before that my brake booster went out. also i have a recall on my transmission but they don't have the part to fix it so it could be throwed i to neutral without a notice.. i have pictures of the car the accident the brake booster and a police report . the car only has about 80,000 miles on it and the 2013 and 2014 all have brake problems and online alot of people complain about 2015 brakes and airbags. i feel these cars should be pulled off the market i still owe alot of money on this car and.forking out over another $500 or more to fix it so i can drive it.

I have tried to schedule a recall for months. i received the notice, called jim click dodge, was told there was no recall for months. after about 4 months of this, they started telling me there were no parts available. i had an appointment today and when i arrived, they said that they didn't order the part and it would be another week. i've called larry h. miller and was put on a "list". i contacted chrysler and they weren't any help either and just kept saying "i'm sorry". chrysler needs to fix this problem and it needs to be fixed now.

On 10/24/19 while driving on highway the vehicle began to smoke and lose power. i had to make an emergency exit of freeway once vehicle was turned off the vehicle would not turn over instead it made a thump sound. the vehicle smelled like gas and oil inside. leading up the this earlier in the week the vehicle would stall while at stop signs and lights feeling like it was going to die. car was towed to my house then on 10/25/19 vehicle was towed to dodge dealer where it is currently still at.

I was notified on 04/18/2019 of the manufacturer safety recall issued nhtsa #19v-293 #v34 2013-2016 dodge dart pf shift cable bushing. it is now 08/18/2019 4 months later and there is still no remedy available. while i have not had a mishap and the part has not failed yet i fear it is only a matter of time. my son is now at college on his own with the 2015 dodge dart and i have to remind him to try and be gentle with the shifter and make sure that he sets the parking brake in case the bushing fails and the vehicle doesn't go into park. i have not heard anything from fiat/chrysler since the initial recall notification. that is unacceptable and they owe us answers of when our vehicles will be fixed or they should start a vehicle buyback program if they can't fix the problem.

Takata recall - my airbag light has come on and will not go off. along with the swiggly road light. no one understands why they are on. the other issue being the shifter cable of the car, i have used my shifter and the car does not actually shift in motion on the highway. my breaks, however, did work so i used them. i believe this was unsafe because on the highway people drive very fast. if i was trying a manual dodge dart i would not have been able to stop. after this happened i stopped using the manual shifter while driving. when i put my car in park or reverse however it shifts very abruptly. this has happened for a while now but i thought it was because my foot wasn't on the brake hard enough but it continued to happen.

I was backing out of a parking space at a coffee shop and my car stalled and wouldn't shift gears. finally was able to get it towed due to a recall on the vehicle and was told it would be a week to get it back. received a phone call exactly at one week and found but it will be 1 month before the part will come in. that doesn't even include them fixing the actual car. didn't even offer me a rental. it's been great.

My car switches gears while the car is in motion. it also takes a long time for the key to be released from the ignition when the car is in park. a glitch in the electrical system causes my lights to go dim or completely turn off while i am driving.

Transmission shift is stuck. wouldn't go to drive, stuck in neutral. i pushed it back inti driveway. can't put in park. had to disconnect battery. speedometer is not working.

I received recall v34 notice 5/25/19. it says there is a problem with the transmission linkage. it warns you about getting out of the car when it still is in drive, but doesn't tell you how to turn the car off if the linkage fails in drive or reverse. the notice says engage the parking brake, but you still can't turn the engine off. i called the dealer and they tried and couldn't figure it out. i called the chrysler 1-800-853-1403 number and they were no help!!!!! they keep saying just turn the key off. i explained it was a push button start and they had never heard of it!!!!!! *dt *tr *dt *dt consumer was told parts will be available next month.*jb

Car will not shift when put foot on gas pedal but will rev. dash will dim when this happens and bluetooth will shut off also. usually happens when at a complete stop while it is idling and while going 30mph or less. only happens while in the city. no problem while on highways. no check engine light comes on and no messages on the dash either. this problem has no pattern and will happen randomly. this 2015 dodge dart has around 52,000 miles on it. just started happening about a month ago and has happened 4 times since. a recall has been issued for this car that sounds simalar, but that recall mentioned nothing about the dash dimming when this happens or the bluetooth cutting out. the car will violently jerk back and forth when this happens. also it seems to happen when driving straight or making a turn. and this car has only had it happen while driving on flat roads, no hills. with no check engine lights coming on when this happens there are no fault codes either. so can't document it. we live in minnesota and this has only happened in this state. manufactures recall number is v34 and nhtsa recall number is 19v-293.

Nhtsa recall number 19v-293. the shifter cable bushing on the transmission end of the shifter cable which can deteriorate and become detached from the transmission. i have called the dodge dealership and told them that my wife was stuck and could not move do to this recall. the dealership and chrysler have said, this recall does not have a fix date i was told by chrysler that october would be the date. my wife is in fear for herself and our kids. dodge has not offered anything to fix this issue. we are traveling in 2 weeks and now have to spend our vacation money to rent a reliable car? this is by far the worst i have ever seen a company fix an issue to keep their customers safe. this is a lawsuit waiting to happen. if you search about this issue, this has been an issue and recall since 2013? 6 years chrysler has known about this and yet refuse to compensate their customers with anything to make this right. this is sickening to me. the car was in reverse and came to a stop, she shifted the gear to go in drive and nothing. the gear shifter will go forward and backwards without engaging the transmission. after figuring out about the recall. we had to pop the hood. put my hand by the engine where it's hot, and pop the transmission shifter back onto the transmission plate. this is ridiculous. a third degree burn will cause a lawsuit.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 dodge dart. while the vehicle was at a complete stop, the shifter handle moved from drive into neutral on its own. manual force was not applied. the vehicle was included in an unknown recall pertaining to this failure, but a remedy was not available. there were no warning indicators illuminated. the manufacturer and dealer were not notified of the failure. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the failure mileage was unknown.

Car has issue shifting between neutral and gears while driving. while in drive and acceleration is added car stalls and will occasionally burn clutch shifting between gears as if in neutral. if any acceleration is added car will rev as if in neutral. this happens at all speeds 20-30% of the time and appears to be getting worse. when braking to a stop the clutch burns 20-30% of the time when down shifting and fills cab with smoke. at complete stop entered drive and let off of brake. engine accelerated to 3k rpm's then grinded gears trying to automatically shift into the appropriate gear. after grinding abruptly grabbed gear and functioned again. acceleration from complete stop, car stalls before finding gear.

I was driving to my residence when the transmission went out of gear and would not shift into any gear. fortunately i was in my neighborhood when it happened and the tow service had to call the dealer to get the car rebooted and turned off, as it was still running. this happened in close to my house and i was lucky that it did not happen on the interstate. i am reporting this as it is a real safety issue. it has happened twice in the last three days. the first time was sunday the 17th if march and again on the 19th of march 2019. the car was towed to where i purchased it, (hill- kelly chrystler, dodge, jeep pensacola, fl. (xxxx). this is my father's number (xxxxx). please contact him as he is helping me. parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Car is stalling and cutting off while driving. got an oil change. car doesn't react to pushing on accelerator. rpm rev after hesitating with foot on the gas. car is shaking and running really hard. i believe its the transmission control module, which is common in dodge darts. its been recalled, but not on my model. stalled in the middle of an intersection. had to restart car 3 times.

Car is bucking, not shifting into gear properly. losing power. when moving.

Engine shuts off for no reason....causing loss of power....

Dart recall i brought the dart in to do a reflash for my car to stop the harsh idle, choke and knock .also that the car shuts off from a rolling stop to acceleration after the reflash 2 days later the car continues to have the same problems several weeks later today 11/17/18 the car shut off as usual but in a intersection had to turn on the car and hope when putting it in drive the engine doesn't shutoff again in cold weather the vehicle has a knocking grind sound and occasionally will turn off if the idle drops low to 500 and then immediately applying little gas and the warm weather comes by or after first driven the grinding noise is gone but same issue when the idle drops to low the engine just does and battery light turns on the battery is good but this issue hasn't been fixed and when i went the said it's normal but they did a reflash

On evening of friday november 9, 2018, the transmission began to slip and was very sluggish. the next day november 10, 2018 at 12:15 pm while driving on hwy 485 in charlotte nc and before i could take it to the dealer for a check; the clutch brake exploded like a grenade, sending schrapnal through the transmission. we were lucky it didn't come through the cab or my family would have been killed. the traffic was very heavy due to the holiday weekend, we were also lucky that we didn't get into an accident. i have driven standard transmissions all my life and this has never happened. to say the very least i am upset this vehicle should be under warrantee due to the low mileage and since i bought it on jan 29, 2016, it is under 3 years. however, i am looking at a $3500 bill to repair or replace the transmission. this is completely unacceptable, the clutch brake should never explode like that. chrysler is selling weak manufactured parts to the public. this should be recalled and checked or replaced with a better clutch brake before someone is killed.

Recall number: 19v-293 at the beginning of november 2018, i drove up to my house in the driveway, shifted into park, let my foot off the brake, and my car started rolling backwards! i tried shifting into drive again then to try to move it into park again but the light on the dash showed still in park, even though the shifter was in drive. i had to use the emergency brake to stop it from rolling away. the next day, i had it towed to the dealership (courtesy chrysler jeep dodge in tampa, fl) but they said it was no longer covered under warranty and that in order for it to be repaired, i had to purchase the gear shift cable and it would cost me over $500 to replace it. i was furious as this is way outside of my budget. i was able to purchase a transmission shift cable bushing repair kit for $35 off of amazon. my husband and i were able to replace the bushing and it works fine (for now) but my concern is wondering, with this recall, if something is causing the bushing to wear down and break, causing these issues or potentially causing a vehicle crash. i just found out about this recall this month (june 2019) and apparently it's been ongoing since, at the latest, 2016?? and the dealership knew nothing about it? unbelievable. if the status is "recall incomplete, remedy not yet available" and it's been 3 years, the manufacturer should be able to allow us to trade the car in to a dodge dealership for another vehicle that doesn't have a chance to cause this malfunction with a potential for a vehicle crash, without us getting the worse end of the deal.

Car has stalled twice when making stop and beginning to turn left on city street. would not start first time. restarted after a few minutes. called aaa and replaced battery (it tested slightly weak, alternator was strong). next day, stalled again turning left on city street. started about a minute later. *dt updated 11/29/18*jb *dt*dt*jb the consumer stated dealer advised the engine was known to consume oil. there was no known repair or recall. the dealer suggested to check the oil every 500 miles and be charged a diagnostic fee each visit. *js*dt

While driving at a fairly high speed within the speed limit my clutch just dropped to the floor and the manual stick shift shifted into gears on it's own jumping and not needing the clutch to shift. led to total immobilization with cars behind me, i luckily made it over to a dirt area between the road and a ditch safely.

Dart recall.....bought the car at 22500 miles and now at 46000 the car stutters and chokes in the cold rough idle and knocking sound coming from engine and the idle goes up and drops at high stops and will shut off the car when slowing down knock sound is heard once driven more the once the knocking goes but the stall at fast stops still happens when purchased wasn't informed recall was put on the car or various other darts
