I was driving on freeway and check engine light came on. next day took it to local shop and read code p0299 turbocharger under boost. was told turbo needed to be replaced. called dodge and got an estimate of about $1500 to replace the turbo. would not cover under warranty.

My car has stalled while i am driving on public roads. after taking it into the dealership, they said there is nothing that they could do. it has now happened 4 times. the first time i was pulling out of my high school parking lot going about 10-15 mph. the second time was pulling out of the dealership servicing department going about 35 mph. the third time was in my driveway while going about 5 mph. the last time was on a straight away going about 45 mph the steering and brakes locked up and i had to forcibly turn the steering wheel to get the car to the shoulder. the car has also ben in the shop numerous times due to issues with the tire pressure sensors, the central computer, and the display screen. overall, the car has over 30 pages of service done on it, ranging form 2,600 miles to 37,000 miles. i just was informed by the chrysler resolution team that my car will not be bought back or no compensation will be given. i cannot drive the car, because it is unsafe to be n the road for myself and those on the road with me. if the car were to stall on the freeway, i could be killed or seriously injured.

Takata recall, my 2013 dodge dart is part of the 15v-800 nhtsa recall. i received notification that my vehicle was affected by the recall. i received notification at the beginning of 2015, i believe, that the recall had occurred. i took my vehicle to the dealership and was told that they do not have the current part to fix the issue and they would contact me. i went in several months later and was advised of the same issue. in june of 2016, the gauges flickered but the vehicle turned on. later on that day the vehicle did not turn on and the battery was dead. i replaced the battery. i went in for my regular oil change in december of 2016 and was advised that they do not have the part to fix the issue at the moment and would contact me. i informed them that this is the second time that this occurred. the dealership stated that i could not get the oil change unless i was able to keep the vehicle there to fix the issue. i inquired about getting a rental due to the fact of me not knowing how long the vehicle would remain at the dealership. i was informed that the dealership does not provide rental vehicles. yesterday, i contacted the dealership to schedule an oil change and maintenance on the vehicle to have the recall resolved. i was informed that it is on a first come first serve basis. i went to turn on my vehicle and the battery was once again drained. i do not understand how a dealership can tell its customers that they do not issue rental vehicles when it is part of a nationwide safety recall. the dealership blatantly disregarded the my safety.
I was coming home from church when my car stop and shut off all so i went to restart the car and it wouldn't. i notice smoke coming from underneath my hood so i popped the hood to see what was going on. when i went to open the hood i notice fire coming from underneath my hood so i ran to the corner and called the police which actually transfer me to the fire department. the fire department came and put out and the police officer took a police report. report number is ja125391 and i only had 37,000 miles

Bluetooth don't work. $600 to fix at 45,000 miles. now my prdn lights up all red. will clear only when i turn car off and back on. took car to auto zone and its not giving any codes
Took in 4 recall brake booster ended up with having to replace entire clutch assemby to the tune of $2300. had the car for less than 48 hours and it completely shut down could not crank or put hazzard lights on and was in rush hour traffic had to have it towed back to dealership.
I purchased my dodge dart at 21,000 miles. 30,000 miles car shuts off on highway. total power loss. dodge was able to limit the problem however ran rough and at about 45000 miles car shifted hard now at 70000 dodge tells me it's the transmission valve body. 3,000 dollar repair. at this point car is not worth 3000. still shuts off completely while driving. transmission control module is recalled for the 2013 dart however not my vin# ????? i see tons of people with the same issues even cases against dodge for this model. however they are unwilling to help me out with any issues i bring to their attention. unfortunate. for me.
I started having issues with my dart 2 years after i bought it, tcm lost communication while traveling 70+ mph down highway had to tow car. had tcm flashed(repair 1), drove 2-3k mile more, happened again, brought it to a different dealership said they replaced tcm (repair 2, before tcm recall was issued.) about 10k miles later had to bring it back, had tcm flashed again (repair 3), about 10k miles later tcm has problem again while traveling 40+ miles down a very busy city street and need to tow vehicle, this new dealership replaced tcm again (repair 4 after tcm recall is issued, 4k miles later car is now throwing check engine lights for bcm, and pcm which i am told is connected to the tcm. i am in the process of filing a lemon law claim against chrysler, a three year old car that i paid almost $30,000 should not cause so much stress. i cannot allow my family to be in danger, i have been lucky that neither issue resulted in a car accident. chrysler needs to buy my vehicle back. i do not wish to talk to them about servicing the vehicle again, or trading them for a newer vehicle as they have lost my trust as a company.
Dode dart recall i received a postage a few months ago about a recall for my dart, everytime i have tried to contact allstar about the recall they have informed me that the parts have yet to arrive., i have had my car a year and a half. currently everytime i start my car it is saying service transmission on the dash. on several ocassions the car has automatically went into the neural shift, while driving causing me to completly stop in the middle of traffic!!!!!i have almost been into about 4 accidents because of the glitch with my transmission, the air also will work and blow out hot air on one side. everytime i stop at a stop sign the car struggles to pull off causing my car to jerk tremendously i am destined to get this issued resolved . allstar still have not contacted me back about the recall, i need my car fixed asap.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge dart. while driving 10 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. the contact could not accelerate the vehicle. in addition, the vehicle began to roll down a hill slightly when it was placed in reverse. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. the failure mileage was 45,000.
The car won't start. battery is completly dead. won't even charge. (that's not the big deal) the big deal is when i try to reverse it's like it doesn't want to get in gear. then whole car shakes, and then it feels like the transmission stops and is about to drop. gear shift lights all turn red. have to start car and turn back on to get it to go to normal. engine light comes on too. then eventually turns off.
This car should be a total recall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When i am putting my car in gear i have my foot on the brake and the car accelerates at full speed while my foot is still on the brakes. i can also be at a stop light and the car will accelerate at full speed while stationary. my reverse also doesn't go backwards at a normal speed, it also stalls as i am attempting to reverse.
Problems since day 1 with my 2013 dodge dart. the clutch would stick in and i would have to pop it up with my foot. i would take my car in and even left it for a couple days and they just told me they couldn't reproduce the problem. and the "specialist" said what i was telling them about the clutch was impossible! so i started videoing and posting my clutch issues on youtube. the radio switches stations by itself, it goes off or won't come on. i've had the radio replaced and it still does the same thing! i've had battery issues with the battery draining and ultimately being replaced. the cruise control works about half the time. dealership ended up replacing the clutch, had my car back 2 days and the clutch went out again. june 11th 2015 took my car in immediately when the rear brake started sticking. they had my car two days and said they adjusted the brake but couldn't reproduce the sound i heard coming from my rear passenger tire. so two weeks go by and i take my car back again demanding they take another look at it. by now the right rear caliber is stuck in and has ruined my rotor and brake pad. later my car starts spitting and sputtering. take it to the dealership and they said the only thing they could find wrong is the air flow pipe to the turbo was loose and they tightened it. i decided to go to a new mechanic, he said one of my ignition coils blew. 8 months later my car starts doing the same thing and my mechanic says another ignition coil blew. and he cannot get one for my exact car because they are all on back order with dodge! he also informs me that there are 3 computers in my car and they are not talking to each other. it took them a while to figure out it was the ignition coil because the computer did not alert that to their tester. now my check engine light is on again and after 3 technicians looked at my car they said i need a new turbo.
Engine excessively burns oil. brakes, during a stop, made a popping noise almost causing me to strike another vehicle. brake pedal now hard to push, vehicle needs significantly longer to stop. vehicle was in motion when the brakes failed, city street, 35 mph.
I have only hade my dart for 1 year with 55k on it.... in that time it has hade 25k in dealership repairs... i have replaced all 4 coil packs, spark plugs, and fule injectures on my own dime... the ebreak has bin replaced once and again it is not working again. the air bag like came on and no one can sit in the pass seat because the seat belt bucky wont read its connected n beeps all the time.. the low oil pressure light comes on and off.. it has a knock, and tick at idol but goes away after 3k rpm. i have hade nothing but problems with this car and i am stuck with it for 5 more years... this is by far the biggest waste of money i have ever hade
Gauges will freeze while driving, but reset after 20 minutes. has happened on 4 separate occurences. while driving down an expressway at 50mph in the city, the car lost boost(pressure from the turbo) causing it to lose power dramatically reducing safety and fuel economy. the car lost the ability to mert speed limit and slowing down traffic behind and the ability to get up a hill in my area. research has shown countless other people being affected by the p0299 low pressure code.
Vehicle stalled out in cold weather while i was driving. car begin to roll back because i was on traveling on a hill. i had to menuver vehicle down hill. after about a minute car started,. vehicle emergency brake will not hold vehicle on any kind of graded surface. i once parted in friends drive pulled up emergency all the way up turn car off. went to visit friend a few minute and when came out the house vehicle was rolling backwards. i open the jumped in car meanwhile car was already in street with parted cars and moving traffic. i was able to jump in use foot brake to stop vehicle without insident( took to dealer for repaired 3 times in two years, just repaired last week phase 1 engine failure twice within first year and half. car sputter and jerked drove rough. took to dealer repair twice on different occasions. during repair dealer kept vehicle 3 weeks on repair and over a week on the other. dealer reason for delay was waiting on part. i am very in satisfied with vehicle quality and performance in the three years i had it i'm driving vehicle less and less because of quality issues and reliability issue makes me and my family feel unsafe.
The car has been leaking oil at a rate of 3 quarts in two weeks. it is in now for the 2nd repair in that timeframe. the car lost the ability to accelerate in the middle of the highway twice after the attempted repair.
In march of 2016 i was in a home depot parking lot, turned my vehicle on, and placed the vehicle in drive. i maintained my foot on the break and did not release. i then released the break and the vehicle began to accelerate very fast without pushing the accelerator, almost colliding into a family of 5 walking through the parking lot. even after pushing on the break the vehicle kept accelerating until i moved the vehicle to the neutral position. the vehicle then kept accelerating until approximately 7000 rpm's then stopped. i took the vehicle to the dodge dealership where the mechanic told me the car also accelerated on him even though he did not push on the accelerator.
I have had multiple issues with my car since i got it. i have been through three radios, an entirely new turbo was installed one year after purchasing the car. then things were going well until recently. i have had the car in the shop about 3 weeks in a row. first it was one of my coils that had become inactive. so while driving it the car shakes and stutters. while driving on the highway i try to hit the gas and the car starts slowing down and shaking. so i had taken it to another shop to look at it because for a new car it is not in my finances to be putting $400 into my car every week. had to get the part ordered so i am currently driving my car around with one coil inactive. then in the midst of all this happening, one week after the coil had officially went inactive, it was back in the shop because my emergency brake all of a sudden became really loose and when i wasn't moving the car would roll. which means the emergency brake wasn't doing its job. so that night i took it over to the dealership to have them look at it yet again. they called me the next day and said that my left rear caliber had seized which is described to me that it wasn't grabbing and releasing the wheel like it should have which also caused my brakes and rotors to wear so much that they had to be replaced. which this was something i could not just let go, or even drive the car with, i had to pay the dealership over $400 to just fix my car so that i could drive it. i cannot believe all the trouble that i am going through for a car that is not even 5 years old.
On 3 separate occasions, my 2013 dodge dart gt with a 2.4 tiger shark engine with multiair has shut down while the car was moving on the road. the reason for this the dealership told me was due to low oil, which we recently realized uses at least 1/2 quart per 1,000 miles. the dealer says this is within normal limits. they said that before 50,000 miles it is within normal limits to burn 1 quart for every 1000 miles and after 50,000 miles it is normal to burn 1 quart for every 750 miles. this was never divulged to me when i purchased the vehicle. it first did this starting at 35,000 miles. the vehicle now has 42,000 miles. there has never been any oil light or any other engine light that goes on before the vehicle dies. it has left me stranded in the middle of the road in some very dangerous situations. i no longer feel safe driving this car and who would want to buy it from me? two dealerships have told me that it is normal for the engine on this car to burn lots of oil, to die while the car is moving if the oil is low, and for the oil light not to go on because the car will stop running before the sensor is activated. they tell me they have seen this before. the major problem is the oil sensor never activates to tell me the oil is low. they tell me to check the oil level every time i put gas in the car. i find that to be an unacceptable solution. the oil has always been changed at normal intervals. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge dart. when the contact started the vehicle, the gauges made a ticking sound and the instrument panel lights flickered. the contact was trapped in the vehicle and her husband had to use a metal key to unlock the door from the exterior of the vehicle. the vehicle was taken to the dealer, but the failure could not be duplicated. the electrical failure continued to occur intermittently. the contact made an appointment to have the vehicle diagnosed. the vehicle had to be towed to the dealer. the contact stated that the engine needed to be rebuilt because the gauge that regulates the temperature was not in the engine. the manufacturer replaced the engine. the contact stated that the vehicle shook and pulled to the left while traveling 55 mph. while traveling 25 mph through an intersection, the contact attempted to stop the vehicle, but the brakes failed. as a result, the vehicle struck a curb, which created a gash in the tire and the rim. the approximate failure mileage was 43,000.
When starting to slide on ice a notification flashes where your mileage should show but it disappears so quick due to the fact that the engine shuts down for a few seconds along with all electrical inside and outside of the vehicle ( no speedometer no stereo no touch screen no lights in or out) however while sliding if you let your foot off the break the engine and all the lights seem to reboot and the car gains power again. not safe and scary as hell when driving in a upstate ny snow storm

Radiator on 2013 dodge dart defective---in shop for the third one (one original and two replacements) coolant leak collecting and stain in driveway.
I own a 2013 dodge dart while driving down the road heard pop and car stopped running, was able to glide off the road, could not restart vehicle. had it towed to dealer and was informed that the battery was bad and needed to be replaced as well parts missing for a part of top of the battery area and replaced to electrical part that had been recalled. when went to go get car on date was stated would be ready was told the timing chain was broken, hole in block and 8 out of 16 valves stuck, needing a new engine. mileage 45,900 the car has been in the shop since 11/14/2015 and being told we have no clue what caused this and waiting for engine to arrive when was told engine was ordered on same date of informing me of issue.
Car stalled while operating under full power on the interstate. it took approx. 3 minutes and it finally restarted. took car to dealership. they state car is not part of any recall based on vin #. they state stalling was result of extremely low oil. however, the care has no leak and does not burn oil. it is synthetic oil and it simply break downs and dissipates. i don't believe them. this is the second time this car has done this and the first time they re-flashed the computer with a software patch to fix problem.
While driving head light just cut off by the self has carried back to a dodge center number of times on highway and city streets had a very close call one time
While driving on the highway in the fast lane, my gas pedal went all the way to the floor and my car lost all acceleration and steering became hard to turn. when this happened most of my car engine lights were blinking and when i placed the car in park the vehicle didn't notice it was in park. thankfully i was able to get off to the emergency shoulder. i took the car into the dealership where they told me there was a recall notice in august 26th which was just sent out to dodge dart owners. the dealership told me it would cost me 1,500-2,000 to fix the problem, money which i do not have so i traded in my car with negative equity, and the dealership, i believe was very non-professional and took advantage of the situation. they also showed me an incorrect nada price chart for the trade-in value to my car.
9/03/15 my transmission went out without warning while going approx 65 mph on the highway. rpm's shot up and the trans went out instantaneously. i was able to pull over, engine and trans lights came on, car would not go in any gear. i shut the car off and was not able to restart it, meanwhile i sat like a sitting duck waiting for a tow truck, hoping that the speeding cars and semi trucks approaching would not crash into me. i had the car towed to a dealer. dealer said the cause was a flashed pcm, it was reprogrammed i was told it fixed the problem. on 9/05/15 1 hour after coming home from work the car would not start again. dealer was closed for the weekend so i let it sit for a while, 2 hours later the car started but would not go in reverse, an hour later, the car had reverse but no drive.the next morning the car started, all lights were off and all gears worked and i was able to drive it to the dealer. the dealer said codes were now showing it was the trans range sensor. got the car back for the 2nd time on sept.16. sept.19 i was driving home from work in the next state, the trans went out again while going 65 mph on the highway again! this time i was left stranded over 70 highway miles from home. after waiting a few hours i was finally was able to drive home, taking take side roads in case the car stopped again. what should've been a 1 1/2 hour ride home on the interstate took me over 5 hours driving on side roads. this car is going back to the dealer again for the 3rd time in 2 1/2 weeks! this is unacceptable, there are too many reports involving this issue on several websites i do not feel safe driving this car anymore or having my wife and kids in it. this is an extremely serious safety issue that needs to be addressed immediately! something needs to happen before (not after) this "known" transmission stalling issue causes a serious accident and kills someone!
1.4 l engine 6 speed manual transmission-has had multiple problem and repairs with weeks at the dealership at a time. traction control light multiple times without resolution. cruise control works intermittently. wipers cone in sometimes when blinder is turned on. car failed to start, would stay on after key was removed from the engine-replaced ignition control module. replaced battery, car back fires, warrantied out 1st coil and spark plug, error code for 3rd cylinder after, dealership stated it was really defective 1st coil and warrantied out again, car still back fires. car wouldn't go in to reverse, differentiation cable had snapped, dealership replaced cable and gear shifter assembly. car wouldn't shift in to 3rd from 2nd gear, dealership replaced throw out bearing, pressure plate and mayer cylinder on "extended warranty" /recall after another 20 days drive 14 miles for wheel bearing failure/abs sensor on front drivers side. dealership replaced both front bearings and abs sensors, technician didn't finish test drive and one of new bearings failed, had to replace again, within 24 hours clutch wouldn't depress, then went to the floor, lifted with my foot still couldn't get car in to gear. turned car off, removed key, started asian and was able to get in to gear. car is making clicking sound when clutch is depressed and some times after release there is scraping sound. you tube video of another person's car maxing same sound http://youtu.be/jjyrrr8xrsy states flywheel had to be replaced. there's probably more that i'm forgetting to note but it is clear from this vehicles poor performance more will ensue, how can i get out of this undependence service ridden vehicle? after how many failures will some one make dodge step up?
The water pump went out in my car at 50,615 miles. i was told by the dealer that the water pump was not part of my power train warranty. i took the car to a differant shop to have a new water pump put on my car it had 8,000 more miles on the car it started over heating took the dodge to larson in puyallup wa. they are telling me that the antifreeze has been mixed in the car and that they will not honor the power train warranty!
When getting into my car in the morning or after work (any time the car has been sitting for a while), the clutch pedal goes straight to the floor and doesn't come back up. i cannot put my car into gear or even start the car. i have to pump the clutch pedal for a few minutes until i have a little pressure to even start my car. my car stalled out twice from this when entering a parking garage and i almost hit another car because of this. after driving the car for 2-3 miles the clutch seems to come back to normal pressure and i can shift fine at that point.

Right now i have issues with my evap system, transmission and engine. with the evap system i am not sure what is going on with it and i have replaced the gas cap as the system stated and i still have the issue. the engine issue now is that the car is very hesitant than from before. especially in first gear. i have to rev the engine to get going sometimes. i almost was involved in an accident. now the clutch goes to the floor with little resistance or sticks to the floor when i am on the road for a while or when it has been sitting for a while. i have had this car for a year and few months and it just gets worse. i really believe that this car is unsafe.
Engine light came on while driving noticed a failure in power when stepping on the gas felt no go with the turbo. stopped to have vehicle checked at advance auto diagnostic indicator stated turbo failure. vehicle had not reached 36000 miles.

As i was approaching a traffic signal, my car lost power and did a half shut off (lost power items, but did not actually lock the steering out as if the car was in park). i was still moving and was doing approx. 20-25 mph when this happened. my power steering, brakes, etc were all lost and there was an overwhelming sound coming from the stereo system (sounded like a bomb going off in the car.). i was able to get the car stopped and pulled over to a turn lane that was not in use without getting hit. once i got the car stopped, it started back up and i was able to take the vehicle to the dealer. the dealer has not been able to diagnose the problem. this is not my first issue with the car. it also has had 'service transmission' errors and gave us numerous issues on christmas day as it would not start when we were headed home. each time, the dealership was notified and they had the car for 92 days while they rewired the electrical system. these cars are not safe, even after having the electrical rewired, the car is still sending error messages and now shutting down while driving it. these need to be recalled. *tr
