When trying to shift into drive or reverse the transmission is rough in doing so makes a jerking motion and seems to slam into gear making a loud noise. ...updated 09/28/15 *bf updated 11/07/2017*cn

When i'm driving the car sometimes i will press the gas but it will not go it rolls back...often when this happens i'm in traffic. i took the car back to the dealership numerous times and they say nothing is wrong. they even told me it was dealing with the hill assist but i explained to them when this happens i'm not on a hill. my children and i have almost had numerous wrecks. i recently received the recall letter about this issue (r42) but the letter states they do not have the parts to fix this issue at this time and this issue can cause wrecks but they will not do a manufacture buy back. also my heal/cool and gas gauge shakes the gauge will some fluctuate up and down, i told the dealership and they ignored me.

The turbo charger on my 2013 dodge dart was discovered as needing to be replaced and the instrument gauge containing the speedometer and tachometer and others needed to be replaced after they intermittently would stop working. the turbo in the car was fixed but the dealer (walser hopkins dodge) failed to address the issue regarding the instrument cluster until 12,000 miles later.

The gear shift is shifted into drive, the transmission delays shifting into gear. when it does shift into gear the car accelerates without pressing the gas peddle. this is the ddc transmission. this is happened at least 3 times

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge dart. the contact stated that while the engine was on and the driver was outside of the vehicle, the vehicle independently shifted from park to reverse. as a result, the vehicle jumped a curb and crashed into a tree. the contact did not disclose if a police report was filed. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 9,306.

Smelling coolant from engine compartment. i don't see a sign . it doesn't smell near over flow. *tr

While pulled over in a parking lot, i had the brake pedal depressed. as i moved my foot from the brake pedal to the accelerator pedal the engine quite rapidly revved to the point that it buried the tachometer's needle. i immediately shut the engine down and the cabin was filled with the smell of burnt trans-axle fluid. when i re-started the engine, it was perfect again. the vehicle did not lunge forward, so the trans-axle appeared to ignore that it was in drive. i have called my dealership to report the incident and see if they knew anything about a rumored software update for the vehicle. *tr

I always let my car warm up, especially when it's cold. the weather started to get better and twice i stopped at a red light and the car almost stalled. i had to put the car in neutral and pump the gas to stop it from stalling completely. i know it's not the gas because it happened within two different time periods. at the time the temp was in the low 30's. i also notice when it's very cold the car makes a screech when it's started. although there is a power train recall (n32) my vin has not been addressed. i do not want to drive down the street and stall with my two-year-old in it. *tr

When starting to slide on ice the anti lock breaks kicked in but the engine stalled for a second and all of the electronic dash went out. no speedometer no stereo nothing was on it seemed but when i let off the brakes and allowed the car to slide again everything came back on.

When we are driving the car, it will start to shudder when the check engine light comes on and within a minute the abs system will turn on. when the abs system turns on, you can actually feel the braking trying to stop the car. this has happened at all different speeds, from 20 to 30 mph up to highway speeds at 70 mph. you cannot shut of the abs system with the safety switch when it turns itself on. we have pulled over, turned the engine off and restarted the car. this does not always seem to work. we have turned off the abs system when we have started the car, but the computer in the engine will override this and has turned it back on. when that happens, it starts to try braking again while we are driving down the road. we have had the car back to the dealership several times trying to get this resolved, but they have not been successful in solving this problem. the dealership has called chrysler to find out what to do about this problem. they were told to change the ignition coil power pack, which they did. when the car was returned to us, it started this same problem again. the last time we took it in (april 2015) the dealership kept it for two weeks and was unable to recreate the problem. since that time it has done this to us twice, but before we could get it to the dealership for repair, it corrected itself. has anyone else had this problem? *tr

2013 dodge dart equipped with a 1.4-liter engine and dual-clutch transmission had 3 incidents on 2 different days - safety hazard! faulty mechanics! *tr 1/13 - vehicle stalled when turning right onto on-ramp at interstate going 35mph, took several tries to get vehicle restarted 1/14 - vehicle stalled when turning right onto outer road going 45mph, almost got rear-ended! 1/14 - vehicle stalled after turning right from on-ramp at interstate going 70mph, almost got hit! we researched issues and found there is a recall for this exact problem, but i wasn't notified as my vin wasn't on the recall list. what?! i encountered two close calls and when calling chrysler was told there was nothing they could do if my vin was not on the recall list. i don' get it, i thought the manufacturer or nhtsa could put a vin on the recall list. what do i have to do to get my vehicle on this list? do i need a lawyer to do this? please advise as to what my next steps are to get my vin on the recall list. seriously dissatisfied *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge dart. the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled without warning. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician diagnosed that there was an oil leak. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 18,900.

While driving, the car sounds an audible alert, the check engine light goes on, and displays "service transmission" on the car's dash/display. when this happens, the car drops into neutral and i do not have access to any gears. attempting to shift into neutral and back into drive displays a "gear not available" message on the car's dash/display. the car had to be towed to the dealer, or if i power the car down and start it back up, i can get the gears back, but the check engine light remains on and the car does not shift properly and the car is sluggish. this car is the 1.4l turbo with a dual dry clutch transmission. this problem has happened three times now within the last 1.5 months. the first time, the dealer did a "refresh" on the computer and stated that the computer had to "relearn" the transmission. the second time (12/09/2014) the dealer said the transmission control module needed to be replaced. the third time occurred today (12/16/2014) and it is at the dealer now waiting on someone to look at it. today when this happened, it was very difficult to get my car across three lanes of traffic and onto the shoulder of a major highway in new jersey. this almost caused an accident which would have resulted in serious injury as it would have involved a motor vehicle accident with an 18-wheeler semi-truck. *tr

On the interstate driving 80mph, went to accelerate and the car just revved up to 7500rpm, like it was in neutral. checked the gear shift and tried again with only getting the car to rev. pulled over to the side of the road and turned the car off for about 10 minutes, turned it back on it acted like the transmission wasn't catching. not once did it show any check engine light or any other warnings. had it towed to the dealership where it took them 2 days to replicate the problem and then it finally turned on the check engine light. it has been being repaired for over a week now because no one seems to know what exactly is wrong with it even though it had a check engine light for the transmission control module. *tr

Vehicle was driven then when coming to an intersection the vehicle downshifted hard. upon going through the intersection the vehicle stalled and then became inoperable. vehicle would not start or even crank. vehicle has been in the dealer for many electrical and transmission issues and we got really lucky there was no accident in the intersection. *tr

My dodge dart limited 2013 turbo 1.4 cylinder has so many problems when we bought it in may/2013, couple months after the squeaking noise, and driver's side electric windows not working, after one year the car is in the shop for 15 days for engine oil leak, and now is again in the shop for 5 months and no solution for transmission problems. the technician said is working but they not sure if it is a computer software or transmission defect. i want to know if someone can help me and or provide me with information . this car does not reach any star. thanks..

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge dart. while driving approximately 5 mph, the front end of the vehicle began to smoke. the contact shifted the gear into neutral and the vehicle began to shake violently. the check engine indicator illuminated. the failure occurred twice. the vehicle was taken to the dealer, but the technician was unable to locate the failure. the vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was not notified. the approximate failure mileage was 60,950.

I was sitting at a red light while my 2013 dodge dart was in drive on august 14, 2014. the light turned green so the car in front of me went. i attempted to drive and the car acted as if it were in neutral. the rpm's of the car climbed to 6000 and the car went nowhere. i put my foot on the brake because the car was in drive and the rpm's were still high. the rpm's lowered and around 2500 rpm's the car lunged forward as if it caught gear. i drove the vehicle home and parked it. i drove it the next day to the dealership and the transmission was making a clicking noise when it shifted. the dealership kept the car for four days. they said they could not duplicate the issue. i picked my car up on august 18, 2014. i drove the car home. on august 19, 2014 i took the dodge dart back to the dealership because it sounded as if the clicking in and out when changing gears was happening. i left the car at the dealership once again because i do not feel safe driving a car with transmission issues. *tr

My car keeps saying service transmission and i have a recall on my car for 3 years with no fix. the recall is a r42 my car can shift into natural at any time while i am driving how safe is that to drive also tcm controller board was replaced and since that my turbo went out my cars temperature on the coolant goes up to 215 degrees. when starting my car and when i driving in traffic is when the temperature goes up

2013 dodge dart . engine stalls when going slow or stopped at a light. sometimes it takes a while to start back up. the car is new and i had its oil changed at 5000 miles at the dealership. i took it in the first time it happened and they could not find a issue. i took it in today and they don't seem to be aware of this issue. engine light came on. *tr

I had to take my vehicle in for service in august of 2014 because my vehicle completely turned off on me while at a red light. when i turned the vehicle back on, my transmission engine light came on. so i immediately took my vehicle to the dealership and they told me i had a transmission issue and they had to order a part for the transmission. i had to take my vehicle in for service again in february of 2015 because my vehicle turned off on me once again while stuck in traffic on the expressway. when i turned on my vehicle the transmission engine light came back on. again, i took my vehicle to dealership, i was told that my vehicle was again having the same issue from the previous months before. once again i had to take my vehicle in for service on may of 2015 because my vehicle turned off on me for the third time while at a stop light but this time my vehicle started to smell like it was burning oil. when i turned on my vehicle, my oil pressure light came on. when my car was being looked at, they told me that they did not find anything wrong with my vehicle and they also stated that " something worse had to happen to my vehicle for them fix the problem." they test drove my vehicle and they did not find anything wrong with the vehicle so it was returned to me. something is definitely wrong with this vehicle if it keeps on shutting off on me while waiting at a red light and also smelling like burning oil and for them to tell me that nothing is wrong with my car this last visit is really upsetting. all of these scenarios have happened in less than a year of purchasing my vehicle.this is very scary and something needs to be done before this causes a crash or possibly death! i sent a letter to chrysler about this situation, and they told me that there is nothing they can do because there is no recall on my vehicle. this is so sad.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge dart. the contact stated that it took multiple attempts to start the vehicle. the check engine warning light illuminated. the failure recurred intermittently. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the battery and sensor transmission range were replaced, but the failure recurred. the contact stated that the failure worsened, resulting in the vehicle failing to start. the vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the wiring harness failed and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 12,000. ...updated 08/01/16 *bf...updated 08/15/16 *bf the consumer stated the problem consisted of the console lighting up and the engine light illuminating. then it escalated to the vehicle not starting. the failure happened on an intermittent basis. the dealer replaced the battery and sensor transmission range. however, the problem continued. the dealer informed the consumer, the wiring harness needed to be replaced. updated 08/17/16.*jb the consumer stated the wiring harness was replaced and the failure worsened. the wiring harness connection was repaired, but the failure recurred. the entire harness needed to be replaced. updated 12/13/2017*js

I have had my dart for almost 2 1/2 years and it has been a problem from the start. i have had my tcm replaced, transmission, 2 clutches, numerous codes and speakers, gas cap, and multiple recalls. it has been in the shop over a dozen times and for over 30 days. i have had problems the entire time i have owned the car and am currently in my second time of dealing with chrysler to buy back my vehicle and they still are not doing a thing about it. with the vehicle not shifting right and losing power and now my defroster is going out also the recalls on it but they have no fix for i refuse to let my newborn son be in my vehicle and chrysler definitely knows about it yet wont do anything about it even tho it is a lemon.

The clutch pedal stuck to the floor preventing me from being able to shift out of gear or disengage the engine from the transmission. because i am a mechanic i was able to avoid a crash. this is a complex issue and most consumers will freak out if they can not put there vehicle in neutral and the engine stalls from them trying to use the brakes. *tr

Car stalls in warm weather and has trouble restarting. no explanation. took it in twice now. first time they could not figure it out and now they are saying they will look into it. it stalled 4 times yesterday while i was driving it in 70 degree weather. it stalled at light and during a slow turn. *tr

I started having headaches shortly after purchasing the vehicle (2013 dodge dart). the headaches continued to worsen, so i finally went to the doctor, had ct scan and was finally diagnosed with having migraines. i wasn't aware that it was the car until it was in the shop for repair for recirculating air issues and i didn't drive it for a week (december 2014). once we received the car back from the dealership (not fixed) i was really sick (horrible migraine) the next day due to the fumes. i haven't rode in the car since december 19, 2014. i haven't had a migraine since around december 20-21, 2014. the car was dropped off on january 2, 2015 by my husband because the check engine light came on and to have the recirculate air fixed. the vehicle was ready on january 8, 2015 but was not picked up until january 9, 2015. on january 9, 2015, my husband picked the car up and drove it around for little while. he then went to pick our daughter up from school and she begin coughing immediately because the recirculate air went out again. i have contacted dodge customer service several times regarding this vehicle and to no avail. i contacted them today (january 9, 2015) and they wanted us to drive the car back to the dealership for repair. i guess they want the fumes to cause someone to pass out along the way. dodge customer service is having a case manager review my complaint, however, i am stuck with a vehicle that i cannot drive. i contacted the lienholder to surrender the vehicle on march 5, 2015. *tr

Issues with transmission, gears and power. after parking my car and attempting to restart the car would not turn on, multiple lights came on the dash board, and message read that my car did not recognize the gear. was not able to start car. it was towed to the dealership. on another occasion, i was driving about 30 mph and my car stop working, lost all power and it took about 5 minutes before i was able to use the gears. on multiple occasions the car wont recognize the gears used and it will act as though it is in neutral. i have also experienced a decline of power while driving as well as back firing in the engine when cylinders misfire. heated seats don't always work and the key fobs don't always work. *tr

As we were crossing a large bridge in new york city, the engine light came on. within a minute after the light came on, the engine light started blinking, and the car began to run very roughly. smoke began to come from the vents, the car began to shake and overheat. after another minute, the car lost all power and became more difficult to control. we stopped at the closest area to pull off. chrysler roadside assistance had us wait for two hours before notifying us that our car was located 100ft shy of being able to be towed. we managed to fudge the car another 100ft, and reached a side street where we needed to wait another two hours to be towed. this was may 11th. the verdict from the local dealer is that the entire bottom end fell off after just over one year of typical use (less than 17000 miles), and the engine must be rebuilt (crankshaft, engine block, everything). we still have not received an estimated time of completion, and only estimates of when the engine will be in (over a month later) detachment or partial detachment of these components is extraordinarily dangerous, particularly at the speed that we were moving, and we were very fortunate not to be injured, or be in an accident. we were even lucky to get off of the bridge. *tr

Turbo malfunctioned and car would decelerate on hills. clutch pedal kept getting stuck in position and would not disengage.

While accelerating the vehicle began to randomly sputter/hesitate. check engine light illuminated with fault code (p0352) and continued to sputter/hesitate during acceleration process. after diagnosis it appears the engine's ignition control system is failing and has been for some time. according to dealership, this is not covered outside basic warranty or any known recall. *tr

Electrical system inside car shuts off and turns back on repeatedly, even if i am only going 2 miles down the road. the fuel and engine tie together as one; immediately after starting the vehicle the exhaust lets out a very strong odor that continue's for the entire duration of any trip. then when accelerating using automatic drive or even the dry clutch the exhaust makes a loud rattling noise as it switches from gear to gear. also, during driving the engine or transmission feels like it is slipping and has hesitation when you accelerate after stopping completely. *js

Vehicle stalls at any speed. also intermittent hard starting. *tr

I wash stopped at a red light when vehicle motor started revving up all the way to where the tachometer was fully in the red. my foot was not on the accelerator and nothing was pressing the accelerator down. there were several cars in front of me and as well behind me. i could not get the car out of drive as it crept forward. i had to turn ignition off to stop the car! when light turned to green and the other cars had moved forward i then started the car and pulled it to the roadside. turned the car off again and restarted the car. everything seemed normal and continued to drive to my destination. later driving the car home was definitely an adventure of pure nerves due to the scare this incident. i have now contacted the dodge dealership where the car was purchased and waiting now for an hour for someone to contact me back for an appointment. this was a very scary situation to have happened but thankful no one was hurt. *tr

I have had my 2013 dodge dart only 2 years and am so frustrated with the purchase. it has been in the shop several times with multiple issues. just yesterday i had to put it in the the shop to have the navigation system fixed. the dealership stated there was not a problem that i needed to subscribe to the navigation service. are they kidding me, i called chrysler and they said it was a faulty unit, due to the fact it goes completely out with a white screen and it just does not work. the check engine light comes on constantly, the engine is running rough. i have already had to replace the battery at my cost of $150.00 not happy about that one. the speedometer is incorrect, the interior light rattles and drives me crazy on long trips. i have had to taken it in for several front end alignments at my cost. it just will not stay aligned, its so frustrating and costly. but the real scary item is when it felt like i was in neutral while driving and had low to no engine power while driving, i slowly pulled over to the side of the ride and turned the key off and the engine was still going, i took the key out of the ignition and it was still cranked. i am praying that they get these cars off the road and put them in a buy back program because they are a danger to the public. i am so upset and disappointed with my dodge that i will not purchase another.

The issue i am continuing to have is during acceleration, usually onto the interstate, i will lose about 2/3 of my engine power during acceleration. if the cruise control is on, not activated, it will turn itself off and not turn back on. the power loss is significant. the only option to avoid an accident, or making other drivers angry because i have suddenly slowed on an on ramp, is to pull to the shoulder and turn off the vehicle. this is the only way to reset this issue. it has happened 6 times since the first occurrence in february. after the 5th time the engine light stayed on and i took it to the dealer. to my understanding they just reset the light. it has happened again once since. i am also now dealing with turbo surging during acceleration and over revving at stop lights and while shifting. the rpm's are not dropping as i shift until i let out the clutch. i have had the vehicle to the dealer 3 times, twice over night. they cannot duplicate the problem and have sent me on my way. i called dodge and they opened a case oct 10, again cannot duplicate, case closed. i am concerned that this issue will cause me to be rear ended either on the entrance ramp or on the shoulder while turning my car off and back on. symptoms are also similar to another complaint nhtsa id 10616062. *tr

Attempting to pull out into traffic the vehicle did not accelerate and stalled with the front quarter of the vehicle in oncoming traffic. vehicle was quickly put into park and reversed into safety.

I purchased this vehicle dodge dart 12/23/2013 (428 miles). on 2/3/2014 started vehicle to head to work, put into gear (drive) pulled out into traffic, started to go, then transmission flashing on dash, stating gear not found. could not shift the vehicle, wouldn't move. had to be pushed out of traffic. vehicle has been towed numerous times same ongoing problems to this date 9/18/2015. lemon law was contacted.

The electrical system cuts out several times when driving. at night it is bad because all the inside light go out and you can tell your speed or anything until it turns back on. the engine and fuel are one issue; after starting it the exhaust has a bad odor and stays during the entire travel until it is turned off. the engine also hesitates after coming to a complete stop. *js

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge dart. while driving, the transmission malfunctioned and shifted gears. the failure occurred intermittently during the change of seasons. the failure occurred originally when the vehicle was first purchased. the vehicle was taken to huntington jeep chrysler dodge ram (1220 e jericho turnpike, huntington, ny 11743, (631) 993-3300) where the transmission was reprogrammed. when the vehicle was purchased, the contact suspected there was an issue because the dealer was attempting to repair a defective part. the vehicle was also brought back at the time of purchase for overconsumption of oil. the contact had to pay for an oil consumption test, which was still an ongoing issue with the vehicle. the vehicle was diagnosed by an independent mechanic who referred the contact back to the manufacturer. the manufacturer stated that there were no recalls and advised the contact to call nhtsa. the failure mileage was 10,000.

When attempting to start my dart, the clutch pedal will have no tension in it. the pedal will go straight down to the floor with no effort and will stick down. i have to use my foot to pull it back up. the car will also not go into gear when this occurs. you have to either turn the car off or let it stall, then pump the clutch 10-20 times in order to get the tension needed. sometimes this doesn't help at all and you have no choice but to attempt to drive it. this is extremely unsafe! fca knows there is an issue, they've extended the warranty to 60,000, but my car having 83,xxx miles they don't care. first extended service corporation who i purchased an "extended service agreement" through doesn't care either. i asked to speak with a supervisor and the representative flat out told me "no" and hung up. i've been having this problem for well over a year. we've contacted the dealership and others around and they said it wouldn't be covered under warranty. this is a safety concern, how is it not a recall?!?

I took the car in to the dealer to check for sluggish acceleration. it seems the turbo isn't working and i have to down-shift several times to get up a hill i travel every day. they said it just needed a computer update. nothing changed after their "update". car backfires every morning it's cold outside and does not have any power until the engine warms up considerably. car still backfires even during the summer months. cruise turns off by itself and won't come back on unless i stop the car, turn it off, then restart it. all of these issues have been going on since before december. it is now july 2014 and a certified mechanic has checked out my engine--my turbo is trashed and there is oil in it!! there is a rod that opens the vacuum/air that is stuck. if this is something that was under a recall, i was never notified about it. the dealer i bought it from should have made the recalls known before i purchased it in may 2013. or they should have at least checked for recalls and had them fixed before selling it. i purchased it used with 4000 miles on it; now i know why the previous owner wanted to buy another car! *tr

Sitting idle in drive-thru car started smoking heavily under the hood and thru the interior vents. finally stalled. got it restarted but it would not go into gear. after about 30 minutes, it finally went into drive and i drove it immediately to the nearest dodge dealer. after a week, they found the dual clutches both needed replaced. was told that i would have to put the car in n whenever sitting at an idle longer than a few seconds. (this is unacceptable to me). was also told that i was not to 'ride' the brake. either "be on in or off of it". (this is also unacceptable to me.) also, car revs up to ~5,000rpms before shifting from 1st to 2nd but (of course) never does it when i leave it for the dealer. am not happy with my purchase. my dealer has been good but i will not be buying another dodge. i buy new for safety, security and reliability and with this vehicle, i feel i have none of the 3. the lease cannot be over soon enough. *tr

Engine stalled. *tr

Owned this vehicle for 10 months and issues with engine stalling/hesitation have gotten progressively worse since my first encounter at the dealership at 13,300 miles. i first reported this issue with engine stalling/hesitation and they stated it was a spark plug/plug wire issue, (iridium spark plugs rated for 100,000 miles). after replacing the spark plug they then determined it needed a control module replaced and an engine reset for my computer system. after that it has been in a few more times over the last 3 months for the same engine stalling and hesitation issues. my engine has been "reset and the computer updated" and since my gas mileage has gotten worse as well as the stalling/hesitation issues are still there and becoming more frequent. then my transmission started slipping as i was in d as if i had put my vehicle into n and pressed the gas pedal just revving the engine, it has done the same when i switch to put my vehicle in r. i took it back to the dealer and they couldn't duplicate the issue therefore giving them nothing to go by other than my word of mouth experience. days after taking my vehicle home from the dealer it went out on my as i was driving on a major thoroughway at 50mph. i pressed the gas approaching an intersection and it just revved the engine, lights flashed on shifter and dash. i had to manually switch through my gears to try and get the car to go. after my husband pulled my vehicle to the nearest parking area safely i tried to start the vehicle again and go forward, it wouldn't start right away it tried to crank but wouldn't turn over when it started just the service engine light was on my dash no more errors were displayed. i did manage to take pictures with my cellphone before. i want dodge to own up and fix this instead od putting a bandaid and sending me along. customer care has not been helpful at all and this vehicle is not safe. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge dart. the contact stated that the vehicle experienced a complete loss of power intermittently and excessive oil consumption. the failure occurred without warning. the vehicle had to be towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that it needed a new battery. the vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. the contact stated that oil was added in the vehicle every week or every two weeks; however, the failure occurred twelve times. the manufacturer was notified of the failures. the failure mileage was 12,000.

After several hours of staying parked with transmission in gear (1st), vehicle would not disengage gearbox on startup. clutch lost all pressure and the vehicle required excessive use of force to dislodge gear shifter. vehicle was started (clutch disengaged and in neutral) and vehicle began to drive forward. clutch/transmission remained in contact with engine causing the vehicle to continue moving forward even while in neutral. transmission/clutch wouldn't reengage without excessive force. *tr

Vehicle is the 1.4l multiair turbo model with the ddct automatic transmission. waiting in a parking lot, stopped in event traffic, car began emitting smoke from under the hood. after a couple minutes, with the smoke intensifying, the vehicle shut off and would not restart immediately afterwards. right before the shutoff, the low oil pressure indicator came on. the vehicle had been running no more than 20 minutes and there were no other malfunction indicators illuminated on dash, nor had there ever been prior. the aaa provider confirmed with me that visually everything seemed to be fine and in proper working condition with all fluid levels in acceptable ranges. vehicle has been towed to the dealership and is currently being investigated. vehicle was ordered may 11, 2013 and received august 19, 2013. currently has 5555 miles. this even sounds almost identical to complaint nhtsa id number: 10496762 quoted below in its entirety: tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge dart. the contact stated that while in a parking lot idling, smoke started to emit through the vents and the vehicle stalled. the contact mentioned that the oil pressure low warning lamp illuminated. the vehicle was towed to the dealer. the technician was unable to diagnose the failure. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure but did not offer any assistance. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 1,600 and the current mileage was 2,000. *tr

Was going to pick up my boyfriend and when 3 miles from home oil pressure light came on. i was on a major highway and was trying to get to a safe pull off spot when the car died in the middle of the highway.(this section of highway was an area of major semi-truck traffic) all the oil had drained out of the vehicle and had to have the car towed to dealership. they said it was two certain parts and would be ready the next day. called back and said now something else wrong and had to order another part (the turbo) they don't know when it will be ready. this car has 249 miles at the time of incident! i am terrified to drive this car and i am furious with dodge when they are aware of the issues with this model car and just continue to ignore or blame the customers. somebody needs to step up and do something for the safety of the consumer before someone gets hurt or killed! will be looking into some kind of class action lawsuit. *js

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge dart. the contact stated while driving approximately 40 mph, the engine stalled, the transmission seized, and the check engine warning light illuminated. the vehicle failed to restart after several attempts. the vehicle was towed to a dealer for diagnostic testing. the vehicle was repaired under nhtsa campaign: 13v238000 (power train). however, the failure recurred multiple times. the vehicle was taken to the dealer on two occasions, the transmission was replaced. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 8,000.
