Truck died in downtown denver. no bus"on digital odometer. took to dealership for wire harness connector replacement, but it was still failing. *ak
No hot air blowing from heater. i took it to two repair facilitys and both confirmed that the heater core needed to be replaced. the vehicle only has 68k miles and it appears this is a chronic problem with dakotas, although the dealer will not acknowledge the problem. it is not easy to replace the heater core and typical cost run from $600-$1000. *ak
Consumer stated while driving on the highway, the power steering failed, which almost caused an accident . after the power steering malfunctioned, the vehicle was hard to steer. also, the consumer found out that gear box had a hole in it. there was a 2 inch piece of a bolt that was knocked out with forced pressure. the dealer did not want to help the consumer.*ak the steering box leaked and contained excessive play. the rotors and windshield wipes needed to be replaced. *jb *nm
Excessive engine knock.pper ball joint failure.nadequate headlight projection on low beam. *ak
Has a blind spot on the passenger side of the vehicle that caused a vehicle crash.*ak there is also a blind spot on the drivers side. the mirrors are too large and cause a blind spot. this is the second time an accident has occured due to this blind spot. *jg
