For several months my vehicle has failed to start intially, i recieved a recall notice for the ignition switch late last year 2014. i was told after many phone calls to dealerships there would be an update and the parts were not in to complete the repair. i have been stranded several times due to this issue sometimes for 20 minutes at a time. this past wednesday as i drove home from work on a very high speed expressway, my vehicle shut off completely. it restarted on it's own once and then all systems shut down, leaving me coasting in rush hour traffic. i was able to pull over and allow the vehicle to roll to a stop safely. i called my roadside service and was towed to the nearest dealership. the next day i was told by the dealer that it was not the "recall" issue that caused this but a short in a wire that caused the alternator to fail completely . i was told that i would be charged for the repair, and subsequently my warranty would cover the repair except my 200.00 deductible. being that this is my only means of transportation i authorized it. the repair was done and my vehicle was returned to me on friday jul 17, 2015. upon return the service tech noticed that my engine light was still on, and advised me to go get my battery checked as it had been drained. i did this and found the battery to be in "good" condition. sunday jul 19, 2015 on a quick trip to the store, i was greeted again with a "failure to start" issue. this left myself and my child in a stranded state until a friend could arrived to give me a jump. after paying to have my car repaired and promised the recall issue would not cause me to be stranded, i am very frustrated and fearful that my vehicle is too dangerous to drive. i do not have another vehicle to get to and from work. i need a resolution to this problem asap.

I had not been notified by the dealer that my car has been recalled. i never received any letter as they said. i found out just by chance on google since my car was acting up way too much. my car is turning off while i am driving on multiple occasions! i have two kids and i was driving at 40 mph. i had to use the e-brake to stop because the power steering didn't work and my power brakes didn't work. at times my car will turn on every light on the speedometer but absolutely nothing is wrong. i asked the manufacturer if they could issue me a rental and they said no. my wife got into an accident a couple of months ago, march, 2015, (we have documents) and good thing it wasn't a severe accident since now we know the air bags will not deploy. someone hit my wife, it wasn't because of the electrical problems at that time. this car is a casket for my whole family and i suppose they are waiting for a lawsuit first before they do anything. not only is this car recalled, they don't have the parts yet to fix it! sometimes my car won't even turn on and we get very hot in the car, i keep trying because starts up after a while and my kids and i are stuck in the heat, mind that my kids are 10 months and 2 years old.

I went to visit my sister at hospital and used valet parking for my car. when valet driver went to retrive my car; it would not start. hospital security jump started car and it started up. however, when i drove car home, turned car off and attempted to restart car; it would not start. later in week, i called to see if recall part was in because i was told in may that it would be available in june 2015. well, when i called in june, i was told it would be ready in august 2015. chrysler/dodge is giving consumers a line that is not true. i had been experiencing issues with p57 recall since last year (2014). when i started car; i noticed all electrical components would not be on. i would have to turn car off and restart car to ensure all electrical components was on. this is my main transportation and now i have to use my son's honda to get to essential places. my car is not starting; it has no power. my car has about 74,300 miles. just last week, i received yet another letter stating a recall on the 2008 dodge charger driver's airbag. i called recall center. this dodge charger owner, is very tired of waiting for recall parts to be available. we as chrysler/dodge consumers, need someone to speak on our behalfs about our issues/concerns/rights. chrysler/dodge should be held accountable, provide consumers with truthful information and timely repairs. thanks for allowing me to voice my opinion. i thank everyone that is helping to get these recalls resolved as soon as possible.

There is an ignition recall on my vehicle but there isn't any parts to fix the problem. i've been having the same issues for the past 2 years i've owned the vehicle. it doesn't register the key is in the ignition and the car won't start. i've replaced batteries in the key as well as replaced the key last year. normally after a few minutes it will register the key is in the ignition and start. lately it has been taking longer and longer. (use to be 5 minutes, then 10, last week 20 minutes, today 45 minutes.) this car is going to leave me stranded somewhere again. i already got stuck in alabama due to visiting here when the notorious 2.7 jumped timing due to their faulty design and i had to get the engine completely rebuilt. i lost my job in michigan, ruined my credit because i got behind in payments due to paying for the expensive repairs. this car is a lemon. worst mistake of my life. completely unreliable and dodge can't/ won't fix their mistakes. what am i supposed to do? i also had a car accident in 2013 where i was struck by a drunk driver and the air bag never went off. now i am hearing there is an airbag recall as well with no replacement parts.

It started with the key getting stuck in the ignition, i would have to sit in the car and wait until i hear a clicking noise. i think that's when the key is realeased and i can pull the key out. at first it took as long as 5 to 10 minutes. now it can take up to three hours, i would leave the key in the car, come back and check on the key to see if i can pull the key out and make sure the car is off. the last time which was 2 weeks ago my battery was drained and i had to get someone to give me a jump. this morning i go to work parked the proceed to put the car in park and pull the key out and the key was stuck as usual. i came back out 30 minutes later to see if the key was released and it was so i pulled the key out the car is turned off. i went to go to lunch and proceeded to put the key in the ignition and the car does not turn on. the battery is working because i have lights and the lock on the doors are working. this is such and inconvience to me and my family.

I have ongoing problems with ignition switch failure, resulting in the car completely shutting off - no engine power, no brakes, no power steering. this incident has happened 3 times in the last 6 weeks. my car is on the recall list with dodge since last november, but they have yet to get the parts in to fix it. i am very upset that they haven't been able to get parts in to fix what could be a catastrophic and deadly problem in the last 7 months. i'm also being told my car has the airbag recall to go along with it. can someone please put some pressure on dodge to either get my car fixed or get me a safe car to drive in the meantime? my life, and potentially my family's life could depend on it.

For many months the vehicle has had issues with speedometer dropping to zero while driving, headlights dimming, and a delay when starting. until recently it wouldn't start at all. i had it towed to the dealership who then replaced the battery which had shown failure when tested. after getting my vehicle back the problems immediately continued. i have been informed i may need to replace the tipm. also informed that issues with the tipm and many other vehicle models have had the same issue and a class action lawsuit is in effect regarding faulty tipm. *tr
