We have classified the 2 complaints from 2001 Chrysler Sebring about EXTERIOR LIGHTING into the following categories.
Dashboard cluster lights work intermittently and other electrical problems. talked to a auto electric specialist who told me this is a known problem and has had several customers with same problem. the dealership must repair the problem because they are the only ones with the equipment to fix it and the dealers are charging over $1,500 to fix. with so many people having the same problem it seems like it should be on the recall list. it certainly is a safety problem. *kb
My 2001 sebring sedan has failure of the uv coating places on the plastic headlight lens. it began in 2003 and has progressed to a point where they need to be sanded and polished every few months for visibility. sylvania manufacturer. uv is the problem so go back to glass, duh a no brainer *nm
The headlight switch on my 2001 chrysler sebring has failed twice in its lifetime (currently ~65,000 miles) - luckily both times were during parts of the year where i did not need headlights, but this time around i have to pay to have the switch replaced. the headlights do not work. *nm
Multi-control function switch went out all of a sudden while driving and caused loss of all lights-interior, headlights, tail lights, etc. *la *mr
