Dashboard cluster lights work intermittently and other electrical problems. talked to a auto electric specialist who told me this is a known problem and has had several customers with same problem. the dealership must repair the problem because they are the only ones with the equipment to fix it and the dealers are charging over $1,500 to fix. with so many people having the same problem it seems like it should be on the recall list. it certainly is a safety problem. *kb
Tl*the contact owns a 2001 chrysler sebring. the vehicle is experiencing electrical failure. the lights in the passenger compartment and instrument panel flash on and off and the radio shuts on and off as well. the contact took the vehicle to a lot and they were unable to find any failure. days later, when he removed the key from the ignition, the entire ignition source came out with the key. he has not taken the vehicle to the dealer because he feels it is unsafe to drive. the failure mileage was 80,000 and current mileage was 81,000.
