We have classified the 5 complaints from 2004 Chrysler Pacifica about TIRES into the following categories.
These vehicles have a bald problem with the tires going bald way too soon and that is a safety hazard they shouldn't have to be replaced every 10,000 miles i always got new tires at 45,000 to 60,000 but now i cant wait that long. i've seen many of other complaints about this not just me. i did plenty of research before i filed a complaint about this.. *tr
Bought 4 michelin latitude tour hp tires in oct 2011 for our 2004 chrysler pacifica awd. the car came with michelin tires without any problems. so we wanted the same type tire for replacements. tire id # b9h2xkwx1910-----1 tire dot # b9h2xkwx1911-----2 tires # b9h2wkwx2211----1 tire size 235/65zr17 part # 33809 55,000 mile warranty tires were rotated every 3,000 miles after the july 2013 tire rotation the tires began a woop woop sound at all speeds. sound very noticeable. tires again rotated and rebalanced(with no change) 2 months later and they still have this sound. have had the car back to the tire dealer several times for more rotations and balancing( no change needed) with out any resolution to the problem. tires are still on the car with only11,000 miles on the tires since purchase. *tr
My tires, which are not defective nor worn keeping loosing air causing the tpms senor to come on. after taking it in many times to get air i was told the tpms senor was bad on one tire and there was corrosion around the wheel. i replaced it and had sealant put around the corrosion. i was informed that this was a frequent problem with these wheels and chrysler is aware of it. i still have to continually put air in the tires every 7-10 days, and the "service tire system" message now never goes out. *tr
While checking tire pressure tpms broke - filed by jiffy lube. *tr
Dangerous situation: while connecting from florida st rd 826 to st rd 836, the car sounded an alarm & displayed a tire warning on the panel. i then felt that one of the tires had quickly gone flat. upon inspection, noticed that the stem for one of the tire pressure monitors had broken off. while changing the tire, an expressway assistance truck stopped by to help and logged a record of the motorist assist. pictures will be provided upon request. *tr
I purchased a chrysler pacific 2 weeks ago and immediately found issues with it i took it back and asked for it to be fixed. they kept it for a day and nothing was done. i got to work oneday and it would not start. i took it somewhere else to be looked at and was told the front tires rods were bad, the stabilizer was bad and 3 tires bald. i cant get the dealer to take me out of the loan and give me my money back what can i do? *tr
Tire pressure sensors on chrysler models are prone to valve core corrosion. this condition can result in valve core failure and subsequent, rapid release of tire air pressure. the valve core separates leaving the threaded portion of the core inside the valve stem. this condition has presented twice during attempts to inflate tires to proper pressure and once while driving. the latter incident resulted in the destruction of the tire. this issue is common in chrysler vehicles according to multiple tire repair facilities that i have made inquiries with. *tr
Tl*the contact owns a 2004 chrysler pacifica. while driving 65 mph, the vehicle made a puffing noise. the contact drove up the on ramp and the vehicle began to smoke. the tires caught fires. she exited the vehicle and noticed flames on the undercarriage of the vehicle. the police and fire department were notified. the vehicle was towed and a police report was filed. the current mileage was unknown and the failure mileage was 20,000.
I own a 2004 chrysler pacifica awd. i have had my car serviced 3-4 times for a "check tire system light". each time, the chrysler mechanic has been unable to resolve the issue. im given a we could not figure it out or the alert did not come on why in their shop. this has been an ongoing issue since september 2007. *tr
Tire pressure sensor worked when i got a flat tire. when tire was replaced, mechanic said the sensor needed to be replaced. today i had the dealership replace the sensor on the tire that originally went flat, service writer called to say all 4 sensors needed to be replaced as none are responding! *tr
I had a bad vibration in the front . so i took it to the dealer since i had a factory extended warranty bumper to bumper., they said the car needed tires. so i changed the tire it still vibrated. go back now it is the rack & pinion bushings are bad . but i need to replace the k frame because a weld is broken. they say i broke it cause there are scratches on it. {not that vibration did it} so i paid to have a new one put in . 8 months later the motor mounts break and the engine drops 2" from the ground . thank god my family was not driving down a highway. so i take it back and they say because there is scratches on it again that broke the bushings .once again i ended up paying to have it fixed. *tr
I am only the second owner my 2004 pacifica for three months and have never owned a vehicle with this many problems. i only drove it two weeks when i started hearing a terrible rattling noise around the front right tire. i had my local chrysler dealership look at the car. they said i need to replace the rotors and sway links. we replaced those however the problems was not fixed. i took it back at which now it's pouring oil out from under it. they attempted to fix it however they do not. i took it back a third time they finally fixed the oil leak but the rattling and popping in the front suspension is still there. i have since taken it to an independent mechanic who assisted that the top and bottom motor mounts were completely broken. i replaced those and they seem to think the popping is possibly the control arm or bushings. only two days ago the air pressure sensor in the left front wheel broke and i have an engine light on. the engine light reader stated the car had an emission system leak. i can not believe a car this new could have all these problems. i am very unsatisfied with this automobile. i am in shock. chrysler should make this right. *jb

My pacifica has had power memory seats repaired 5 times. my air compressor repaired x2. a "dampener" placed to try and minimize the noise from the a/c. the dash electronic module replaced x1. the wheel plastic covering just came off while driving. my tire pressure sensors have had to be reset x2. the exhaust made a rattling noise that had to be repaired. the right front bumper had to be tighten as excessive wind noise was heard by service dealer. it still makes an audible clicking, knocking type noise on acceleration that they claim to be unable to duplicate. it has a loud pop on sharp right turns. and the a/c still cycle abrubtly and loudly approx every 30-45 seconds. i have had the car since aug 2003 and chrysler refuses to accept responsiblity and allow me another vehicle without obtaining a lawyer. i clearly exceeds the minimum criteria for the lemon law. this vehicle has been a huge inconvenience to my family and i. chrysler states there is nothing to be repaired on my vehicle and will not help me in any way. i love the vehicle when it is problem free wich is rare and i just want them to step up to the plate and stop giving me the run around. it has been repaired way to many times already.*ak
No summary. *ak sudden loss of air in two tires causing car to go out of control, striking a mail box and a tree. this car was only a week old and had less than 400 miles on it.
