How To Change Brake Light Bulb On 2014 Chrysler 300

How To Change Brake Light Bulb On 2014 Chrysler 300

Changing the brake light on a 2014 Chrysler 300 doesn’t require a PhD in Advanced Mechanism, nor do you have to be a descendant of Henry Ford. Just follow these rather uncomplicated steps and you’ll be back on the road, safe, and legally compliant!

Step 1: Trunk Business

Firstly, pop the trunk open! Locate the small turns and unhook them to remove the trim panel. Ah, the thrill of discovery! You’ll find that we need access to the taillight, which involves removing a few more bits and bobs.

Step 2: Taillight Removal

Grasp a ten-millimeter socket, or simply use the delicate strength of your hand, and spin out the bolts. Once that’s done, gently separate the socket. Pay attention to a tiny red piece; slide that out and press a black clip. Being meticulous here is key. Don’t go banging things around; treat it like a fragile artifact!

Step 3: Bulb Replacement

Once the taillight is out, locate the miscreant bulb. Give it a gentle turn and pull it straight out. Note the bulb number (3057) etched on the side – this is your key to acquiring a new one. Call your local parts warehouse, give them the bulb number or the application, and they’ll match it up like long-lost friends.

Step 4: Inserting the New Bulb

Now, with the new double filament bulb in hand (it serves as both a regular and brake light), insert it into the slot. Align the larger end with the slot, twist until it clicks, and voila! Ensure it’s on there snug and secure, like a well-fitted helmet.

Step 5: Testing and Reassembly

Before bolting everything back up, it’s prudent to test the new bulb. Fire up the car and check the brake light and driving lights. If everything is in ship-shape, go ahead and reassemble the taillight, tighten the bolts, and reattach the trim panel.

And there you have it! A relatively straightforward, fuss-free guide to changing the brake light on a 2014 Chrysler 300. Now, go ahead, give yourself a pat on the back, and take your newly illuminated vehicle for a spin!

Safe driving, folks!
