My airbag light stays on permanently. it used to come on intermittently. i have had the problem fixed twice by a chrysler repair facility. i was told not to worry it's just a wiring harness problem. i'm scared because i've seen airbag recalls and i don't know why my car hasn't been recalled yet. my car also seems to be jerking more frequently. it jerks sometimes when i'm accelerating. i was told this was normal because of the type of engine. i inquired about this not long after i bought the car in 2015. the jerking seems to be getting worse. my check engine light stays on. i can provide info that my airbag sensor problem was fixed twice.
The "service air bag" light came on in my car a few months ago. i recently got it in to get it serviced at a chrysler dealership where they ran diagnostics and said that a harness needed to be replaced in my vehicle which would cost around $2500. the person at the dealership also said that it was a potential safety issue. i, unfortunately, do not have the means to get this repair. my warranty is up as well. the car is only four years old with less than 30,000 miles on it. i did not get into an accident that would have caused the airbags to deploy or do any other significant damage to my vehicle.
My car sometimes revs while going 10 and under, without me pushing the gas. and when i changed gears it slips and jumps
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. while driving 15 mph, the contact rear ended another vehicle. the air bag failed to deploy. the contact sustained head injuries that did not require medical attention. a police report was filed. the vehicle was driven to the contacts' residence. the vehicle failed to restart and all the warning indicators illuminated. the vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing of the air bag failure. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 45,000.
My takata recall is to say that my car was involved in an accident and the airbags did not fully deploy but it smelled as if they did and my car indicated my air bags deployed but they did not. my seatbelts are now stuck and i'm not sure if the bags will deploy later or not.
My airbag light comes on and off, most of the time it stays on though. also, the car will die after driving and will stall while driving. it also appears that there are some sort of electrical issues with the car and the gears shift strange, sometimes throwing me forward while driving.
Airbag light comes on intermittently. dealer says that when the light is on, the airbags will not deploy. dealer says that chrysler is aware of the problem and that fixing it would cost $2,900, but that chrysler also can do and "overlay" (i don't know what that is) for $165 per seat that might make the problem go away, but the only guaranteed fix is the $2,900 option. obviously the $2,900 option is cost prohibitive so after we went with the $165 option, the problem still remains.
Upon starting car' airbag light may or may not be on. light turns on and off without warning and has been ongoing. seems to be rough idle' when i place the car in gear it jerks. during normal driving the car stalls causing a safety concern for rear end impact while airbag light may be on that may cause injury or death. this matter should be investigated and corrective measures taken. after reading testimonials about other 2015 chrysler 200 owners' there obviously is a pattern with safety concerns.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. the contact stated that when she started the vehicle, the air bag indicator illuminated and remained lit, which was a safety concern. the vehicle was not taken to a dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 76,550.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. the contact stated that the air bag warning indicator illuminated. the contact took the vehicle to brenham chrysler jeep dodge (located at 1880 highway 290 w, brenham tx 77833, 979-212-8005) where it was diagnosed that the sensor in one of the seats needed to be replaced. the specific seat could not be confirmed. the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred approximately a week later. the contact returned the vehicle to the dealer and was informed that they replaced the air bag. the contact stated that the air bag warning indicator remained illuminated. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to nhtsa to file a complaint. the approximate failure mileage was 50,000.
Air bag light fails to turn off even after its been serviced . middle console and screen constantly getting stuck/ frozen while driving.. also it accelerates by itself sometimes!
Occupant classification module in the passenger seat fails unexpectedly causing airbag light on and shut down of the entire vehicle airbag system. similar to the s09/nhtsa 16v-114, but vehicle was not part of that recall campaign.
The air bag service light continues to to come on and the air bag light stays on.
I have the issue with right side seat deployment squib 1 -circuit open,i went to dealers they are saying its not in warranty so can you please updated the recall on this air bag issue. power train: i went to dealer nearly 4 times every time they update the transmission and when ever i step on brake, can will move forward and will stop it because my rpm is increasing high and its car is stopped all of sudden on the road.please recall my vehicle
The air compressor and seat belt harness has gone bad and the vehicle is less than 5 years old. the a/c died in 2018; i decided to wait until 2019 to replace what i thought was the freon.
The air compressor and seat belt harness has gone bad and the vehicle is less than 5 years old. the a/c died in 2018; i decided to wait until 2019 to replace what i thought was the freon.
A/c died in 2018; i decided to wait to repair because i thought the vehicle needed freon. after taking the vehicle to the dealership the compressor needs to be replaced. the extended warranty expired. since the car is computerized i have to pay for updates and electrical issues. now the seat belt light is on due to two bad harness under the seat. an update was allegedly repaired of the car jumping, the car stills jumps. the vehicle is slowly deteriorating at my expense. chrysler has stated they will not help me. this vehicle needs to be recalled immediately.
I was driving at night an hit a curb and the airbag light came on and will not go back off. the car only has 43965 miles on the car as i do not drive it alot. they said it is not a factory issue, yet i see alot of people complaining of the airbag issue on this model car. i am very dissatisfied with this chrysler and will not buy another.
I was sitting in my car and notice the airbag light appeared and i knew i had just got it fixed at a chrysler dealership that charge me $183 for diagnostics when they seen it itself. also it keeps going on and off couple of days later my car would not start. it was not the battery because the lights were on there was no start for the click i waited about 20 minutes and it started something are wrong with these chrysler cars it is imperative why a car should not start or airbag light keep coming on once they are fixed i will never bye a chrysler again this is harmful to me and my children something needs to be done.
My airbag light will come on and then go off. it has been doing this for about a year.
Takata recall my airbag light keeps coming on after i already took it back to get it fixed at the dealership. my engine won't turn on when it is hot outside, the car takes a long time to excelerate on the city street and highway.
I have been advised that i currently do not have airbags that will deploy in a wreck due to needing a new oc module and passenger airbag. my car only has 60k miles and no airbags. i have been advised that the repair is over $1,000.00. how is this not a defect/recall when airbags have never been deployed on my vehicle? how is this safe to sell cars that have airbag defects without recalls?
Takata recall my 2015 chrysler 200 started displaying service air bags , and then the service engine light came on after that it shut off twice and now it won't crank up. but the dash lights stay on and the radio playing, so i had to disconnect the battery. each time the car shut off, i was driving and i was on a major road in the city doing the time period people is getting off work. the car is parked in my yard and will not crank, i believe it is a electrical probably.
Every time some body seats behind the driver side and kiks the bottom of the seat it show to service the air bag system
Airbag warning light and sensor continuously turning on while in motion and while stopped.
Takata recall - airbag warning sensor has been displaying off and on for over a year. when i called the dealership i was told it was wear and tear and it would cost me alot to replace them. the car will lose power (grog out) intermittently causing me to almost stall. and just recently the gas cap warning light came on, along with the engine light. i have tried to have it fixed but was told something was faulty.
1) i was driving on a city street 40 mph and the car lost power and stopped on the middle of street in a very unsafe position, i tried to restart the car but it only made the start noise and did not work anymore. 2)the airbag service light is on for more than 4 months.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. while driving 35 mph, the vehicle stalled, the steering wheel seized, and the "service air bag" and "check engine" indicators illuminated. the contact stated that the failures occurred on more than one occasion. a dealer and the manufacturer were not made aware of the failures. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was approximately 76,000.
A few months after purchase, airbag light and message states service airbag. took it in for servicing, stated sensor was bad and they would have to order sensor.($100w/warranty). the airbag light has not come on for months.latelt it's been coming on pretty regular. i suspect a wiring issue as well. when vehicle is parked for awhile the light goes out like it should, only to come back on when it wants to.
Problem with stereo which completly turns off and resets while driving, will reboot and display warning. after turning car off radio will stay on emitting nothing but static. air conditiining will automatically turn on. air bag warning which will not vo away.
A transmission warning light, service electrical throttle, air bag warning lights came on my 2015 chrysler 200 purchased from enterprise cat sales in may of 2016..the vehicle began hesitating while driving as if i was shifting in neutral.i took my car to three rivers chrylser dealer west liberty avenue in pittsburgh in february of 2018. i also asked to have my brakes done.i was asked to purchase a new upgraded vehicle which i declined.i took my car back several times between three dealeaships between march and june because it was in worse condition than when i gave it to them.smoke coming out of the tail pipe, sounded like a mack truck, stalled, coolent leaking. i had it towed three times.they would not give me a loaner car and were not helpful in anyway. i returned it to another dealership this week now june. the electrical throttle light came on again, engine warning lights coming on and i was told the car was unsafe. i believe this car was recalled and the recall repairs were not done on this vehicle. i contacted the warranty company that had my extended warranty. my car was under warranty when i brought it in february. according to an email, the dealership submitted the services "supposedly" completed in february to them in march and april after the warranty had expired. i believe they purposely did not complete the work in february in order for my warranty to expire and i have to pay them out of pocket. now i have a car payment and no vehicle. jim shorkey north huntingdon chrysler dealership is stating the car is unsafe. i have only been given the run around from chrysler customer care and the dealership/
(1) i purchased my car in october 2016. my car cut off in the middle of a very busy city street intersection. i had to keep blowing my horn and keep hazard lights on. my two children were in the car with me! it has cut off a total of 3 times since i purchased it, less than 2 years ago. i took more than 3 minutes to start up again.(2)the car also jolts, while driving, a lot causing everyone in the car to push forward off of the seats.
The car keeps stalling whenever i try to turn the car on. i've checked the battery the alternator and starter and they were all good. also the airbag light indicator keeps turning on and off and the check engine light spontaneously turns on and turns off . also when going down hill with foot on break the rpm accelerators, also one headlight keeps going out but turns back on
Air bag service light is on and they wont deploy if in wreck it came on one day and took it in and said 3000 to fix chrysler said had to many miles for them to fix it is a safety concern for me and my family
Air bag light came on for no reason.. vehicle has not been in accident to cause this..
My service airbag light kept coming on so i took it to chrysler where i was told a wire had had probably become disconnected. they said all i had to do was make sure the ends were connected. it stopped for a while. then a couple months later the service airbag light kept coming on again. i figured it was the plug and didn't pay much attention since i was told not to worry about it. until my airbags exploded in my face one day as i was leaving work. i slowed down and was hit in the face, chest and legs by the airbags. i then hit the back of another vehicle. the front airbags went off on both sides of the car, the drivers side door airbag went off as did the back drivers side airbag..i was the only person in the vehicle at the time. from everything i have read the other airbags shouldn't have deployed. the cops didn't seem to believe the airbags went off on their own but i wasn't given a ticket. i know they went off before the wreck. i think this should be looked at. *dt*jb
My vehicle constantly turns off and abruptly stop while driving, while coming to a stop and/or while up in speed. when it turns off stated select desired gear, all lights come on. transmission, enigine, red z, battery light, and won't start immediately. airbag light has been on since i purchased car. won't go away. car beeps when turning.
I live in arizona and went out to my car to leave work yesterday. it was 101 degrees outside and the temperature reading inside the car was 110. when i turned the car over to leave there was an alert saying that the air bags need to be serviced. i have never seen this before. it went off as the car was cooling down but then came back on then off. the temp went to 101 and has not come on again as of today. i am concerned that it can either be the sensor getting hot or the actual air bags. the risk could be that the air bags could deploy when i am not driving or while i am driving. or not deploy at all if i was ever in an accident.
The service airbag system light randomly came on. i took it into the dealership's shop for diagnosis. they tell me that a sensor under the seat has shorted and that it will require an entire new wiring harness and a new airbag which will cost over $2,000.
My vehicle rear ended a stopped pick up truck at approximately 35-40mph. prior to and during the accident, the forward collision warning didn't activate in time to help stop the car as well as the air bags never deployed throughout the accident.
Air bag light turns on randomly when i drive. more if someone or something is in the passenger seat. my radio also doesn't connect to usb for my phone nor connect to bluetooth at times. when i turn the car on 1/10 times the screen doesn't turn on.
My car shifts to neutral and does not allow me to drive at times
While driving the car displayed service air bag system and the sir bag light is now on i've read that it was already a recall but nothing showing up
I have a 2015 chrysler 200 that has been having some issue with the dash lights flickering and now the lights are going completely out. i thought the instrument panel was the only feature affected until today on my way to work the headlights completely went out as well creating a very bad situation on the highway. i was unable to see while driving down the road for a brief period of time. i just check it for recalls but did not find my vehicle however there are other earlier models that appear to be having a similar issue that were covered by recall is there any way that a recall may be arriving on this vehicle? i have also noticed that the service air bag light came on shortly before all of this started as well as a code was tripped for faulty coolant sensor as well. all maintenance and upkeep has been done on this vehicle including tires pressure sensor replaced and routine oil change as well.
The car states that the airbags need to be serviced. i have had this checked out before and the dealership reset the system, but the warning keeps coming back. also, i have been having issues with my transmission. i have had this checked out before and and the dealership hooked it up to their computer system, but i have been having constant issues with the transitioning of the gears. it jumps alot and runs rough. my car also has been stalling in the middle of driving and while parked. just recently the car isn't even starting. it takes awhile for it to start up. the check engine light is on too and i received a message that states that i need to service my transmission.
I was driving my car this weekend when the seat belt light came on.. on march 21, 2018 i called the chrysler dealer near me and set up an appointment to have it checked out. later that day the service man called and said it was the air bag on the passenger seat and both had a short wire harness, the cost would be about $1080.00 each which i spent $127.00 to have it checked out. that has already costed me $2500.00 to repair. i did not have it repaired because i feel this is a chrysler safety problem. at this time our air bags don't work. which is a huge safety problem. i feel this is a safety issue that chrysler should be responsible for. this dealer told me that they have had a number of service calls of this same problem. i also called two other dealer, and they told me they have had many issues of the same problem. they all stock replacement parts so this must be an a serious issue. the dealer called our extended warranty co. and it was not covered.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. while driving various speeds, the vehicle jolted and stalled. the contact also stated that the vehicle would independently shift into park and the air bag warning indicator illuminated. the vehicle was taken to jacksonville chrysler dodge jeep ram (9600 atlantic blvd, jacksonville, fl) where it was diagnosed that the air bag harness and the multi-air valve were faulty and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was at the dealer being repaired. the contact stated that the oil sensor and power distribution center were previously repaired at other unknown dealers due to the vehicle stalling, but the failure recurred. the manufacturer was notified of the failures. the failure mileage was approximately 76,000.
Service airbag system message appeared in the message center and took it to the local chrysler dealership and was told the code was for passenger airbag squib circuit open. service advisor went under my passenger seat and said the plug was defective and needed to be replaced but in the meantime play with the connector and it will make contact and go off. i've searched online and have found numerous other instances of this complaint and even videos showing which connectors under the seats to play with to correct the problem thus turning off the light but it is only temporary and will illuminate again with frequent vibrations from driving. i called chrysler recall hotline and was told no recalls were in effect for this and no tsb either which i find odd considering the dealership even knew about the issues and stated that it is a common issue with the cars.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. while driving at any speed, the air bag warning indicator illuminated, which was a safety concern. the contact also stated that the vehicle jerked, made loud noises, and accelerated without warning. in addition, the contact stated that the vehicle decelerated when making a turn. the vehicle was taken to thomas dodge chrysler jeep ram (9604 indianapolis blvd, highland, in 46322, 219-924-6100) where it was diagnosed that the air bag and the steering wheel control module needed to be repaired. the contact was sent back to the independent mechanic from where the vehicle was purchased. the independent mechanic informed the contact that the vehicle was sold 'as is' and referred the contact to a muffler shop to repair the air bag and the steering. the contact stated that the air bag and the steering were repaired, but she was not informed of what was completed to repair the failures. the failures recurred a month later. the contact called the dealer back and was informed to go back to the seller. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was approximately 55,000.
My car has stalled while driving, while almost immediately losing ability to steer the car. i repeatedly would have to put the car in park and try to restart the car in order to get the car home. as well as having a airbag light that comes on when every i over bumpy roads.
