Problems with 2015 Chrysler 200 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

The air compressor and seat belt harness has gone bad and the vehicle is less than 5 years old. the a/c died in 2018; i decided to wait until 2019 to replace what i thought was the freon.

This vehicle when i purchased it has been having multiple problems. the transmission has been slipping into neutral while i am driving at least twice a week. i have to pull over cut the vehicle off and re start it. also there's always issues while i try and start the vehicle. i have taken it to five different mechanics to fix the problem. new alternator,new battery,five different diagnostics made. the extended warranty mentions that i need to bring it to the dealer. which i have twice. they re set the software which did not fix the problem. it still slips into neutral. cottman transmission did a diagnostic that i paid for out of pocket. they informed me that this problem and the codes that came up are manufacturing issues. associated with bad electrical wiring as well as a bad set up for the transmission. also the same model make and year for this vehicle there was a re call for the same exact problem and code. the extended warranty company covers these problems but told me to bring it to chrysler to fix. chrysler has checked my vehicle twice and re set the system for the light to come off. of coarse the problem was not resolved. now everyone is still pointing the fingers at each other. this has been going on for over a year. my factory warranty should fix it under the power train warranty also silverrock should fix it under my extended warranty contract. there has been no resolution. i have to consistently take off work to maintainance this car. please help.

The first incident of the car stalling occurred in a parking lot on 8/18/18, it just shut off while still in gear. i put it in park and restarted it and i was able to continue driving. later that same day, i was driving home, thankfully on a quiet road. it started to sputter and shut off again while still in gear. somehow i was able to pull to the shoulder of the road. this time, i could not get it restarted, so i called my roadside assistance who towed the car to the place i purchased it. they changed the spark plugs and said they were oxidized and were probably the cause. i picked up the car on 8/21/18 and it drove ok. the next day, i was driving home and as i turned the corner onto a busier road, it stalled again while still in gear. i could not get it to restart at all. this was quite scary even though i was over as far to the right side of the road as i could be with my hazard lights on. i called roadside assistance again and i received a text that they would be there in less than 45 minutes, and then another stating they would be there in less than 20 minutes. the sheriff that showed up said she wasn't waiting around for 75 minutes and forced me to have my car towed by the county tow company as she said it would be faster. my tow company showed up less than 2 minutes after theirs did, but i was told too bad and they took my car to impound. i had to come up with almost $300 to get my car out and then i called my roadside and they switched me over to chrysler roadside who was able to tow the car to the nearest chrysler dealer, where it now sits. i told them i am afraid to drive this car now and i want it fixed. i am thinking it is this is the electrical system recall r24

I was sitting in my car and notice the airbag light appeared and i knew i had just got it fixed at a chrysler dealership that charge me $183 for diagnostics when they seen it itself. also it keeps going on and off couple of days later my car would not start. it was not the battery because the lights were on there was no start for the click i waited about 20 minutes and it started something are wrong with these chrysler cars it is imperative why a car should not start or airbag light keep coming on once they are fixed i will never bye a chrysler again this is harmful to me and my children something needs to be done.

Driving down highway and car shut off. the dash lights went out but control lights stayed on. took 3 attempts to start again. 2nd time this has happened.

It has been shutting off during driving, and also reads codes of gas cap, but i thinks a sensor and also transmission sensors, does not want to start, says key fob not detected, and wipers do not go fast at all

Takata recall my 2015 chrysler 200 started displaying service air bags , and then the service engine light came on after that it shut off twice and now it won't crank up. but the dash lights stay on and the radio playing, so i had to disconnect the battery. each time the car shut off, i was driving and i was on a major road in the city doing the time period people is getting off work. the car is parked in my yard and will not crank, i believe it is a electrical probably.

I've had problems with the air conditioning it won't turn on after the heater is on the next day it won't turn on and when the car needs a oil change the engine light will turn on and then the car start acting funny it will just turn off in the st and it won't turn back on and i can't take it off parking to make the car and then when it does turn on the speed won't work it won't go over 15 mph but i can hear the engine and the meters go up.

I was in the middle of driving when my car without warning began to shutdown. and since i haven't been able to start up the car . the battery completely lost life in which i don't understand because the car was in very good shape .the miles on the car is approximately 67,500 it was 56,100 when i purchased it .

After vehicle has been driven for a while, the check engine light, traction control, abs and airbag light comes on and the vehicle loses driving function momentarily and the gas pedal does not move the car for a few seconds. then i have to press the gas pedal down heavily to get the car to travel at a low speed. the transmission doesn't shift properly and this normally last for a while then stops. a code reader says 'high speed can communication bus' i took it to the dealership and they said that they could not simulate the issue so they couldn't do anything. it normally happens when it is very cold or below freezing outside. also when it is a hot day the vehicle unlocks it's own doors, starts itself, pops the trunk on it's own when i am nowhere around and the key fob is nowhere near which is dangerous and can cause my car or my belongings to be stolen.

A few months after purchase,airbag light and message states service airbag. took it in for servicing, stated sensor was bad and they would have to order sensor.($100w/warranty). the airbag light has not come on for months.latelt it's been coming on pretty regular. i suspect a wiring issue as well. when vehicle is parked for awhile the light goes out like it should, only to come back on when it wants to.

Problem with stereo which completly turns off and resets while driving, will reboot and display warning. after turning car off radio will stay on emitting nothing but static. air conditiining will automatically turn on. air bag warning which will not vo away.

Takaya recall- my car has been shutting off when i come to a stop and it takes 10 to 15 minutes for it to cut back on this has been going on and off for the past year. i took the car to a local chrysler dealership and they fixed the problem for a few months then it started back shutting off again it's to a point we're im spending to much money on trying to get the car fixed and it doesn't last because the problem keeps reoccurring

(1) i purchased my car in october 2016. my car cut off in the middle of a very busy city street intersection. i had to keep blowing my horn and keep hazard lights on. my two children were in the car with me! it has cut off a total of 3 times since i purchased it, less than 2 years ago. i took more than 3 minutes to start up again.(2)the car also jolts, while driving, a lot causing everyone in the car to push forward off of the seats.

My chrysler 200 year 2015 and while driving it on the freeway it will mot get the speed up. the mist it goes is about 60 miles per hour and this is when im already on the freeway. when entering the freeway it goes in very slowly i push gas pedal and it won't go past 40 miles per hour. also at any time while driving it, it starts pulling itself like if it wants to turn off while driving. i feel this us very dangerous for me and my family. i have changed spark plugs and coils and it continues to nit function correctly.

The car keeps stalling whenever i try to turn the car on. i've checked the battery the alternator and starter and they were all good. also the airbag light indicator keeps turning on and off and the check engine light spontaneously turns on and turns off . also when going down hill with foot on break the rpm accelerators, also one headlight keeps going out but turns back on

While driving the vehicle the dashboard/instrument cluster keeps on flashing in and out, staying off for at lease 5 seconds at a time. at night the headlights also flicker on and off. the car also tends to pick up speed while braking. lets talk about the brakes, the brakes absolutely suck, they don't hold properly at all. while coming to a stop i often have to sink my foot into the peddle and give myself extra feet to stop.

While driving the car randomly shots off. the other day my wife was driving it in the freeway and she almost got into an accident. we did took the car to the dealer and we leave the car there for about two days and they couldn't find anything. after that the car was working just fine but two days ago it happen again while taking my daughter to day care. i just want to know if there are any recalls on the enginen, transsmision or something. thank yok

I have a file with a complete timeline with the incidents upon request. i am now beginning to really loose any faith in the chrysler product and the corporate office. still under power train warranty. but this last recall has thrown me over the edge of considering new company. i had an appointment with local dealership chrysler for the safety recall that is still open. they couldn't get me in for 3 weeks. i make appointment bc my car keeps loosing ot power and dies or almost dies/.my car lost all of its power while i was driving down the freeway at a constant moving pace with other cars. my car looses all power and i cant even steer the steering wheel and i work into the middle lane. where freight liner almost hits me in the [xxx] end and swerves to miss me and overcorrects and winds up almost going over the bridge with a concrete wall saving him from ending up on the lower freeway. once we got through the shock of what just happened. i try to get car to start. it wont even kick over and i cant get it ot if neutral. i call chrysler corporate bc if i could have gotten the recall fixed sooner this would have been prevented. they tow to chrysler and we wait 2 more weeks while they get to the car. meanwhile i am having to pay everyday for a rental car. which was over $500 and i am a single divorced parent of 2 children. 1 child recently passed from a rare disease at age 7 and my only son just started college in conway and i am so proud and want to support him in this move. at the end of 2 weeks i go to pick up the car and i am billed for 300 for a new battery and diagnostic test. i ask about the safety recall & why is was not done when that is the xavcrt reason we made the appointment? they overlooked that and needed to go do that. this whole experience cost me more than $1000. with time i had to leave work and all their calls to the chrysler . parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable ...

Sometime when putting car in park it will tell you it is not in park and will not let you turn car off until you shift it into another gear and then shift back into park. radio sometimes will not come on.

Air bag light turns on randomly when i drive. more if someone or something is in the passenger seat. my radio also doesn't connect to usb for my phone nor connect to bluetooth at times. when i turn the car on 1/10 times the screen doesn't turn on.

I have a 2015 chrysler 200 that has been having some issue with the dash lights flickering and now the lights are going completely out. i thought the instrument panel was the only feature affected until today on my way to work the headlights completely went out as well creating a very bad situation on the highway. i was unable to see while driving down the road for a brief period of time. i just check it for recalls but did not find my vehicle however there are other earlier models that appear to be having a similar issue that were covered by recall is there any way that a recall may be arriving on this vehicle? i have also noticed that the service air bag light came on shortly before all of this started as well as a code was tripped for faulty coolant sensor as well. all maintenance and upkeep has been done on this vehicle including tires pressure sensor replaced and routine oil change as well.

On thursday 03/8/2018 and saturday 03/10/2018 we started our vehicle without incident and traveled less than 1/4 of a mile down our street when a warning alarm sounded and the dash board read something like, "pull over and place vehicle in park in order to start." when we tried to start (key-less car) it would not start right way and made an almost grinding sound. after about 30 seconds to a minute, eventually it started. i do see 2 recalls for this vehicle which describe the vehicle stalling without warning but when i place my vin in the search it does not identify any recalls on this vehicle. the recall numbers i believe may relevant to our vehicle is chrysler's r24 and s55.

Muiltple problems with the engine. it's been replaced &i i'm still having a problem with it.. this is the second time have to pay a deductible due to the car randomly shutting off. shifting into n.. the first time they said it was an internal engine leak:.. then within a few months i started having the same issue. i've had the car for a years & i haven't been able to move it in 3 months. the car keeps having problems after problem and it's still under the warranty.. but i'm paying the payments on a car i can't use for no other reason but factory problems

I have a chrysler 200c awd 2015 that is continually sabotaged/refusal to fix by various chrysler dealers since complaining about a warranty fix issue early on. ever since its been a series a mishaps since going to the dealer. gator chrysler of melbourne, fl and bonafice heirs chrysler of merritt island, fl both aggressively try to get me to trade the vehicle in instead of fixing it. repeatedly they state they are not hearing the issues that are not easy to fix, ie transmission hangup between 4th and 5th gear. the car is fixed for various issues that always require me to bring it back. i would like someone from your agency to pull all records relating from chrysler, and both of the aforementioned dealers. the phone records and call logs are crucial to the investigation. also i opened arbitration that was ignored and i feel the car is a lemon. chrysler at this point refuses to fix the car to standards. each time they say and list on the paperwork that they will be doing a 16 multipoint inspection. repeatedly this is stated to be done, but the timeline of fixes do not align. i'm not smart enough and need an engineer from chrysler to physically come to a local location to inspect the vehicle. scott pelley and secret shoppers should be done mirroring this scenerio as hearsay is this is common practice given the number of elderly in this area. i can't formally make this accusation, but from missing tires, mysterious mishaps and then being out the vehicle, stood up for rentals, etc. the main point now is i was told the coolant would be checked standard in a multipoint inspection, but it was not because when i left bonafice heirs chrysler it immediately overheated. they are breaking the car to get back at me and make me look noncredible in the disorganization. i just know its all fishy and is beyond me at this point to audit, but needs to be done for safety.

Airbag warning continues to come & on was on when i first the car. electrical power for windows dim lighting and oil lift isn't firing correctly . all of this happens while thevehicle is in motion.

On 9/16/18, vehicle died and would not start. after several attempts, it started, then while driving down the road, vehicle lost all electrical power and came to a stop in the middle of traffic. car was towed to dealer where they trouble shooted for several days trying to reproduce the electrical power failure. they found a services bulletin about electrical connection and replaced wiring harness. over the next several months i noticed my vehicle felt like the transmission was slipping. as time went on, i realized it wasn't a slipping, but a hard shift. the vehicle would also loose power upon acceleration to merge into traffic or changing lanes. this was very scary, but at times it seemed as if the vehicle might lose complete power and die while in heavy highway speed traffic. on 10/11/2018 while having my vehicle oil changed, i asked the technician to drive the vehicle to confirm what i was feeling with the transmission. the technician agreed that the transmission was in fact not shifting or functioning properly. i obtained a quote to have the transmission serviced. the technician advised have the transmission flushed/serviced might help, but often times flushing can cause symptoms to worsen. i opted to not have the transmission flushed/serviced at that time and planned to take my vehicle into the dealer after the holidays. it is now the the 3rd week in december and just this week the hard shifting and loss of power when the vehicle downshifts to merge into highway speed traffic has worsened significantly. i phoned the chrysler dealer today and spoke with my service advisor to schedule an appt. i am to call back on wednesday 12/26 to reserve a courtesy vehicle and schedule appt. to drop my vehicle off on 12/27/2018

The battery will suddenly die. needs to be jumped. after a few hours will die again. bought a new battery and the problems keeps happening.
