Problems with 2015 Chrysler 200 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

After driving the car 30 minutes or more and i turn it off, it will not restart for another 30 minutes or more. it had left me stranded as well as caused me to be late for work jeapordizing my job and my safety. the car has been to 2 different dealers and they cannot find anything wrong. i cannot trade it in because the blue book value is less than what i owe. i feel that chrysler should compensate me for this vehicle by buying it back at the price i paid. sometimes the dash says 'engine warming up, please wait.'

My car randomly shuts off while driving, specifically during turns, and does not want to restart. this has happened during highway and city driving on numerous occasions. when i checked into, it says i have no unrepaired recalls.

My car shuts off with no warning what so ever. check engine is not on and my car runs and drives amazing. i took it to the dealership and they said they fixed it but when i went to drive and hour after i picked the car up from the dealership it shut off.

The transmission drive trans is making a clunking noise every time you would stop i took it in and they updated the pcm and transmission control module it shifted better but the clinking noise is still there.the e break automatically comes on frequently when you put it in reverse out of nowhere. the clinking noise happens more when you're in the city and on the highway end it feels like the abs comes on as well but not for sure

Odometer is glitching ' turning on and off while vehicle is running and in motion. when odometer glitches, car decelerates and does not allow car to accelerate until odometer comes back on. doing this continuously. no check engine light is on. battery is in tact.

The car will intermittently stall and shut off while driving. the car has done this numerous times while in motion on both the highway and city streets. it happened again today and every day last week, monday thru friday, while driving to work. the problem has progressively gotten worse and happens just about every time the car is driven. it usually happens after 20+ minutes of continuous driving. after it stalled today it would not start for 45 minutes. chrysler and the dealership have basically washed their hands of correcting the problem at this point. they state the recall for this very problem has been completed. yet the car continues to have the same issue as the recall that was done to fix the original issue. the dealership now wants to charge to diagnose and fix the problem.

My speedometer and dashboard keeps blinking and glitching out.

After car in motion, it shuts off while driving, noticed that abs light came on before this happened. sometimes after it starts, it just shuts down, car goes completely dark, i opened the door and power came back on, then i could re- start it. it is very scary because i was in major traffic when this happened.

Stop for gas got back in my car al lights were flashing and car wont start. tried to jump car off nothing so i went and bought a new battery still nothing i keep hearing clicking noise from under the hood

Car was parked for 4 1/2 hours and spontaneously caught fire.

When coming to a stop or accelerating from a complete stop either turning or straight, the engine stalls without warning & there is no power steering or momentum to safely pull over. i have been stuck with hazards on at neighborhood stop signs, in stopped traffic after the light turns green, freeway on ramps, in the center of small & large intersections blocking traffic, on railroad tracks, & more. it can take up to 3 tries for the engine to restart. obviously this is extremely unsafe, & i do not believe that i should be stuck in an intersection because a newer car with such low miles dies every day, often several times a day. in addition, the transmission is very jerky & the engine does not run smoothly once it restarts. that also happens occasionally upon the first start of the day. i do not understand why my vehicle was not included in the recall for this exact issue. i do have videos of this, but can not upload them. the date below is the date of one of the videos, this problem occurs daily & has been for several weeks. after purchasing the car, there were a few incidents months apart, then it became more frequent, & for the last several weeks it is a daily occurrence.

The car just randomly cuts on and off i took it to the dealership and to pep boys and they said it was just a battery issue i have a brand new battery in my car and it still is doing it

Car won't start and the engine light comes on. i can't switch gears.

The car dies several times while driving it without any warning lights coming on.

These past few days my car has been stalling out with no warning. all of these times i have been driving in traffic. the car stalls and message will appear to something upon put your foot on the brake and put in park. once you do that the car will try to restart itself. my car eventually restarts but has still yet restarted on the first try. there is no check engine light on or any other warning codes( no warning codes before nor after the stalling). this is a big safety issue chrysler needs to look into and address.

Several diagnostics codes relating to recalls issued involving transmission, electrical systems and air bags present on vehichle. chyrsler refuses to honor stating that those issues doesn't effect m my vin #. veheicle stalls and air bag maintenance light is on for over a year now.

5/30/19 i purchased my car from gage auto sales in oregon. on 06/01/19 i was left stranded on the side of the road because it would not start. i had to have the car towed to the dealership. on 6/2 dealership said there were no starting issues and no codes and i could pick up the car. starting issues progressively got worse. leaving me stranded many times. check engine light came on 6/23/19. 6/24/19 took car back to the dealership which they had until 07/12/19 stating is was the key fob and push start button. one week it ran fine then rapidly began to not start, check engine lights came on along with transmission lights. the car has been a lemon since day one. the dealership has sent me to a third party mechanic and are telling me the transmission is not covered under my extended warranty. this car had these problems the day after i bought it. it was defective when i purchased it and no one at gage auto sales will help me. i am 23 years old trying to make it on my own and there is no way i can pay 1500 to re-program the transmission. please help me!

The radio began to buffer and would repeatedly cut off and on while i was driving. the touch screen would be frozen during this time and i could not operate any controls. eventually the car started to stall due to the buffering radio draining the battery. a new radio is on back order and won't be in until october for an issue that has been occurring since early summer. i do not understand why there isn't a recall on this radio due to so many people having the same issue. if a part is on back order, that should let chrysler know there is a repeated issue with this and it should be recalled. i have read many complaints about this car and seen videos online of others demonstrating the same issue. i will never buy another chrysler.

Since dec 16, 2016 my car has stalled multiple times , i have filed multiple bbb complaints as well as having it inspected , towed , new key fobs purchased and my car literally will stop on the interstate putting me and my family in danger. it, has broken down 15 times since i purchased this vehicle and i'm sick and tired of this. i want this settled

I started the vehicle, let it idle for a few minutes. put it in drive and drove out of my driveway. got to the corner to make a rt turn and the car died. dash says to put car in park. i then pressed the start/ignition button and it stalled, had a hard time starting again. finally started and i drove to the next corner, it stopped again for about 1 minute or more. finally started. i pulled into a driveway to go back home. it died/stopped again. i let it sit for a couple of minutes after dash said to put in park. it finally started. i headed back home, while driving /in motion, it stopped again, and i was able to pull to the curb. it started rather quickly, and i made it back to park it on the street. i haven't driven it since then, but i did start on june 1, 2019, where i put it in drive to see if it would stall/stop. it did not, but i have not driven it since may 22, 2019. having it towed on june 4, 2019 to ontario jeep/chrysler to check the issue.

Check engine light came on, using code p03 misfire on cylinder one; replaced cylinder one and spark plug still coming on and battery flunctuating. shop stayed it's an electrical issue not the cylinder itself . battery jumps up and down when in idle and hesitates to start. do not feel safe taking it anywhereb

It seems to happen more in the morning when my car has been idle for a few hour. on sharp turns or abrupt braking in the city my chrysler 200 2015 will stall. first, the electrical warning light will go off along with a bell warning sound and then the car will stall. i will then have to coast to the side of the road (with no power), stop the car, engage the dial to park and press the ignition button with the brake pedal down again. when i do this, the starter will struggle to start, but after 8 second the engine will turnover. the problem seems to be occurring more now. the problem started happening at 58,000 miles and now i am at 70,000 miles.

The 2015 chrysler 200c have several stalling issues while the vehicle is in motion. i brought the vehicle in for service last week and no fault was found. the problem is ongoing and i would like for the nhtsa to conduct a full investigation.

I was driving on 5/13/2019 i was going about my business when all of a sudden my dashboard lights up and it says power steering unavailable then dash goes out then comes back on then says transmission service needed with no power at all..i had to carefully pull to side of the road without getting into a car accident or possibly getting killed..shut car off let it sit for a few mins then restarted car...i was able to put car into drive and drive away.then about 3 mins later it does it again where dash went out but then came back on with check engine light on now..so i had a friend hook up to the computer system to see what the hell is going on..it came up with a bunch of codes with 1 saying that i will need a new engine harness ..so i drove home and parked car because i did not feel safe driving car..so today 5/14/2019 i had to take care of some business..so im driving and its happens again just like yesterday needless to say i almost crashed today because of loss of power..says power steering unavailable once again with transmission needs to be serviced..pull over let sit for a few minutes then starts again and im able to drive again then as im driving dash goes out comes back on n i am able to continue to drive..then as dash comes comes back on so does check engine light and battery light now stays on..so at this point i am very unhappy n pissed off that this is happening..needless to say i still have things to take care off amd with both lights on for remainder of day the car was driving fine with no issues.but once i shut car off and restarted same thing happened with dash going out then coming back on with both lights.check engine and battery light and car drives fine with both on..i want an answer on this matter as to what needs to get done to fix this very dangerous problem with this pos car!!!also is this something that is covered under power train warranty...

Car shut off when driving twice says no recall but there is an issue under 100,000 miles i need a solution

The 2015 chrysler 200 engine stalled , on several occasions , while the vehicle were in motion. for safety , i was forced to pulled over and wait ,while restarting the engine .

On the night of 5/11 i came home from a business trip in a rental vehicle and pulled my personal vehicular out of my underground secured garage to take to a store approximately 1 mile away. after returning to my apartment i parked the vehicle in the outside parking lot just for that night as i parked the rental underground. about 15 minutes after parking my vehicle i heard 2 loud booming sounds i could hear from my apartment. about 20 minutes after the booming sounds three police officers came to my apartment door and told me my vehicle was on fire. they took me down to the parking lot and told me there was an explosion that led to the fire. they told me there was a witness who saw sparks flying which led the police detective and fire department to think it was an electrical issue that led to the explosion. there is a police report on file and i have filed a claim with my insurance. the engine compartment was completely engulfed in flames and the heat/fire damaged the two vehicles on either side of my vehicle.

The meaning of the light that comes on is electronic throttle control system

My car wouldn't start when you hold down the breaks and the start button and it has when it rains or after it rains but i change the battery and the key fob battery not that long ago and i'm confused on what's happening.

1. air bag light stays on constantly 2. engine light is on 3. issues with car not alliwing phones to connect to car 4.**** major issue is that car is stalling..turns off totally. eventually turns bacj on but yesterday it took a while..i had to press diwn on the break and keep pumping it. we were not stationary we were driving

The console screen shuts off completely approximately ever 60 seconds. this occurs both when the car is stationary and in motion. it has been doing this for about 6 months. it has been inspected twice and no diagnostic was able to be produced. also, the check engine light will not turn off. this has been inspected and turned off twice, but comes back on very quickly.

The radio/media center software has stopped working. the radio will play and you will hear sounds but you can't see any transactions going on. it stays on the same station that you left it on and it comes on and goes out every minute. the other features won't show at all (media, phone, navigation etc.). it does this while the car is on or off! i tried to fix it via the online information that the websites offers to no avail. this is frustrating and should be a recall. this all happened after the warranty on the car expired of course.

The car shuts off while driving down the street no warning

Vehicle looses power while driving; both on the interstate and country roads. turns itself off. transmission freezes between 4th and 6th gears. and won't shift, causing loss of power.

While driving the instrument cluster went out. speedometer and all electronics and displays went out. i had to pull over on the highway and turn off the car and back on and the display went back on. the check engine light came on and when i took it to the dealer they said the codes that came up are inconclusive. this is the 4th time this has happened and it seems to only happen during warm or hot weather. this is very concerning while driving. searching various forms, it seems this is an issue other chrysler drivers have experienced.

Since i have had my car the service airbag system has came on several times i got it fixed once before, i have had to replace the throttle control body, and thermostat, also it's saying d1-d9 when i drive. it's so many problems and i've only had the car two years

I notified the dodge recall center a month ago about an issue with electrical problems and engine stalls as well as problem codes. this affected driving and prevented registration per smog check. i was making a alright turn on el dorado and cleveland street last thursday, 3/21/2019 and the car locked up or cut off and slid into a guard rail and curb damaging the driver side of the body and was unforgivable. it is being investigated now but the fca investigator informed me that he would not be able to inspect the vehicle until i signed and returned the attached document. upon calling a month ago i performed a vin search and realized that there were a few electrical recall incidents performed on my vehicle previously which were never disclosed with me. as a matter of fact the dealer edited the documents to show a clean history when printing my paperwork when i purchased the vehicle. i am totally confused as to what my rights are and how do i go about getting my vehicle repaired or compensated. please let me know if you need any further documentation.

Either myself or my wife have been driving our 200 and while driving it stalls outs. it has happened a number of times for just over a month now. yesterday i was driving it and it made a bell sound and then i saw something flash about oil but it went off the screen pretty quick. i was slowing around a corner. this morning my wife was driving the 200 and stated that the vehicle stalled twice as she was coming up to stop signs.

The car goes into neutral by itself while driving on the city street. warning light indicated i needed my transmission serviced while driving on the highway then went away after i let the car sit. transmission slipped during that time causing the car not to be able to accelerate properly to keep up with the speed limit. key having problems with my left front tire suspension. battery died out the blue while parked. key fob says its undetected but i have it in my hand. i have to put the key directly on the ignition button then push the button to start the car. i wanted to also indicate suspension. the car rattles while driving on regular bumpy roads. my left tire has an issue the mechanic couldn't figure out.

Airbag light came on in mid to late 2018. car had ~65,000 at the time. had the car diagnosed at the dealership and they said it was a wiring harness and charged me $300 to fix it. march 2019, the airbag light comes on. it appears on the dash for no apparent reason as i'm driving at highway speeds. after the initial audible and visual alarm, the visual alarm stays on and the audible alarm repeats every minute. returned the car to the dealership (autopark chrysler jeep in cary, north carolina) expecting that the repair would be covered due to the recent repair. they told me it was a different wiring harness and it would be ~$3300. when i asked the service manager if the car was hazardous to drive, he responded "absolutely". i have since parked the car and it has sat idle since.
