My fuel gauge is starting to fluctuate. i just filled it up and when i go down the road it will go down at least a quarter of a tank and when i stop and let it run idle for awhile it will go back to where it was. it just started this past week. from what i am reading, it won't belong before i will have to spend another bunch of money into it. last month i had to put a new throttle body on it because the sensors went bad and with this year the sensors are in the throttle body, so you have to buy the whole thing. as i was getting into the vehicle about a month ago, the part for the seat controls on the bottom side of the seat just busted off. everytime it gets colder out, the stabilitrak system won't stay on. it was always off in the winter time, never worked. when living in michigan and getting lake effect snow alot of the time, it would be nice to have it available. i will never buy another gm product. been buying them and my family members for more than 50 years, more and more of the newer vehicles have too many problems. i don't make that much money to keep putting money into a vehicle that is supposedly reliable and take days off of work to get them fixed. no thank you. *tr
After the recall of 12180 and repairing the 1st problem with the door my driver's side window only works intermittently. dealer tells me it's 'not related' to that recall and i have to pay to repair this myself. i don't have the money to pay for another problem on this 2007 pos that gm pumped out. what is this.. the 4th recall? i've had to pay out of my pocket each and every time to get these fixed and it's hell getting my money back from the dealer! now as unlucky as i am, i ended up with 2 of these 2007 gm vehicles, the other an envoy. now the envoy went in for the previous recall #12180 and now also received the paperwork to go in and get repaired under the new recall #14309; why is my trailblazer not included in this recall?? i still have a driver's door window that only works sporadically, how can the dealer tell me that that's a separate problem when everything i'm reading right now is saying the window problem is inclusive?? i need gm to be responsible and fix this window problem/door motor problem. *tr
Traveling at 65 mph at 9pm on a unlighted, remote highway the low beam headlights went off. the headlight switch was in the automatic position. i tried all headlight switch positions and determined that only the parking lights worked. i did not try the high beam switch. i was behind a large truck which i followed since there was no location to safely stop. i planned to follow this truck to the next town about 6 miles away. after about 4 miles the lights came back on. i had not noticed any others issues with the lights in the past. i have left the headlight switch in the automatic position all the time. *tr
Pushed to put passenger window down and would not go up, stuck open. evidently the window regulator broke at a part cost of about 300.00. just had in for a blower problem where the blower came on while the car was just sitting in the garage with no keys or anyone in it. that was 400.00 some dollars. this car does not seem like it should be having these problems. *tr

I got into my vehicle saturday (1-19-2013) to drive into town to do some errands. i tried to put down my driver side window and the switch would not work. i got into town and went to the store. upon leaving the store i tried my window again and it went down 1/4 of the way and stopped. now it is stuck 1/4 of the way down. on occasion i have smelled something that smelled like wiring getting hot but could never pinpoint the cause. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet trailblazer. while parked, the contact smelled an electrical burning odor inside of the vehicle. he then noticed that the driver's side door module overheated and melted. the contact referenced nhtsa campaign id number: 12v406000 (electrical system) however, the contact's vin was not included in the recall campaign. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the problem. the approximate failure mileage was 116,000.
While on the highway the drivers side door window lowered by it's self, soon there after a strong smell of smoke, came out from the switch that controls the power locks, and windows. i immediately pulled off the road, as the control was literally sparking the window then went up on it's own and there after it did not work anymore. i have contacted gm and they stated that parts are currently not available, however they state that when they become available they will call me in the mean time they suggested that the vehicle be parked out doors since it can still catch on fire. this vehicle was purchased new and now i am stuck without a car for transportation. gm also states that these modules will not be available until january 2013...note the module literally melted. *tr
While picking my children up from school on 11/15/2012 i smelled burning plastic, then i looked down at the drive door it was smoking really bad. i put the car and park and opened the door, a police officer was near as i was in the school zone he saw the smoke coming from my car and ask me was i okay. he turned the car off unsure if a fire was started on the inside of the door. after about an hour the smoke stopped, but my main power window and door was not working anymore. my car smelled like burning plastic for months. i was advised that the motor may have burned out and it would cost $550.00 to have repaired. i noticed on 01/26/2013 my gas gauge was not working. i stopped at a local gas station and filled my car up with $62.00 worth the gas and when i turned the car on it showed my car was on empty and the gauge light remained lit along with my engine light. so i turned the car back off and waited about 30 sec and turned it back on it stayed the same. i took it to the shop and was advised the fuel sensor was bad and i would need to have a new fuel pump put in. i bought my car on 02/27/2010 pre-owned with 76,000 miles on it, and was given a car fax report, and it was clean. i read all these reviews about the 2007 trailblazers and it seems they all have the same issues. these issues need to be corrected as they have to be a manufacture defect. *tr
I don't have exact date i bought my vehicle it is just an estimate. but issue has happened twice now. also don't have vin with me but can get it if needed. i bought my vehicle about 2 years ago. when i bought it the passenger window regulator went out. lamb's chevrolet in onida, sd replaced it. now a few months ago the passenger regulator went out again. they told me well they only have a 1 year warranty on them. warranty or not it should have not gone out within a couple of years. i am fighting with them on paying for it. is there any other complaints or recalls on window regulators with the chevy trailblazers? i shouldn't have to be replacing this every couple of years. also they have one excuse after another why it could have gone out while all in all they probably put in a defective or refurbished one which dealer these days are famous for and charging customers full price.
Drivers door module stopped working. *tr
Hi, the windows in my trailblazer won't open. then open sometimes but then close themselves. i can hear crackling inside the driver side door and the power is also surging throughout my truck, i then hear clicking. i am in canada, not montana, but there is a usa recall on a door module that i think is the problem. i am writing you because it wasn't disclosed to me at the time of my purchase, but my truck was bought used in the usa, brought into canada by a dealer, it was apparently a rental at one time, and it was sold to me by southpark used lot in edmonton, ab in late 2007. this is the used car lot for don wheaton chevy/olds, it had approximately 18,000km on it. i found out it was a rental from a chevy salesman about 3-4 years later when i went to see about trading it in. i have had many problems with this truck and it has not been the reliable vehicle i needed with kids but i have been forced to deal with it not able to afford another. i actually bough a second car 2 years ago for $550, it's a 87 thunderbird coup lx and i have had to use this car many many times because the truck isn't working half the time and it costs me piles and piles of money, it's very stressful. i am a single parent and doing my best like everyone else just to get by. i am not asking for anything special here. i have had to pay a lot to keep this truck on the road already, i have had many issues that the chevy dealer would not fix because they say they can't "recreate" the issues and yet i take it to a non dealer mechanic and they find the issues just fine and this is wrong because i had full warranty to pay it all. please see recall: 12180 established this year, i would be very grateful if someone could help. we are in full swing of winter here and i need to have functioning windows and do not want to catch fire especially with someone else with me, children or grandma, please. *tr

Came out of work 11:30 pm to find the drivers door window down on a rainy night. as i got close i could smell the elec./plastic fire smoke smell. my seat and floor were soaked from the rain. i could not put the window up and had to drive home wet. i had the dealer where i bought it check it out and was told the door module had melted from fire from a shot and was lucky the car did not burn. i have called chevrolet assistance center about 5 times and was told i have to wait parts are not available. *tr

The fuel gauge is not reading properly. after a fillup, i drove to work, when i drove home later, the gas gauge read near empty. i thought someone stole gas from my tank. i get off work at midnight and live in a rural area, so i was very worried about running out of gas before i got home. (there are no gas stations on my route). next day i got a can of gas to fill the tank enough to get me to a station, and i found the tank to be full. since then the gauge has been fluctuating between half full and empty activating the low fuel warning light. this is very unnerving and i won't let my wife drive it now. asked about this problem at a repair shop and they told me this is common and gm will pay half repair cost. contacted chevrolet and the help line confirmed they have a program to fix this problem at half price. if this is such a common problem, why should i have to pay anything to get repairs done when they are admitting it is defective?. *tr
Got in the trailblazer today and it smelled like an electrical fire. none of the door switches are working. lo and behold i came to this website to find that my vehicle had a recall for this very problem, posted in august. i called chevy to have it fixed and they know nothing of the recall. *tr
Driver's door module shorted out and produced a smoky smell. *tr
The side view mirrors reset when you use the remote the unlock the car. they are preset for driver 1 & 2 and which ever remote unlocks the car the mirrors will re-align themselves sometimes moving around for 60 seconds or more. after all the movement they are not aligned for driver 1 or 2. it's a pain to have to realign both mirrors every time you start the car. i have positioned the mirrors where i want them, push the button to set them, wait for two beeps, and next time i start the car, they are randomly moving again. i have been to the dealer twice to have it fixed and the mirrors seem to be ok for a week or so then start with the random repositioning again. i am afraid the motors in the mirrors will burn out. *tr
The power locks & windows control sometimes does not wanna work on the drivers side. the lights on the that buttons on the driver door panel are not on at when this happens. usually you can turn the car off then back on and it will work again. i have a feeling there is some sort of shortage. *tr
I bought my 2007 trailblazer in september 2012. i was so excited, but a few days after purchase the driver door window regulator stopped working. i contacted chevy and they told me there were no open recalls on this yet and are continuing to tell me this. they wanted over $500 to fix the issue for me. when i looked i noticed that there are recalls on this item, but still chevy keeps telling me there is no open recall. i am scared after reading other complaints that this could lead to a possible fire. *tr
We went out to our car after church and noticed the window was part way down on the front driver's side and there was this strong smell of burning electronics. the door's electronics do not work at all. *tr
Car has a delay in starting. starts to turn over, but sounds like its trying too hard. once started the clock resets to 1200 and the check engine light was on. when the dealership checked for a code the only thing that came up had to do with the gas cap not being on tight. it has been happening with more frequency regardless of how tight the gas cap is. check engine light is no longer coming on. battery gauge is where it should be once it starts and does not drain. wondering if it could possible be a faulty ignition switch, but the dealership won't attempt a fix as they cannot get the problem to duplicate. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet trailblazer. the contact stated that the driver side door started to smoke. neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified.the vehicle was not repaired. the vin was unknown. the failure mileage was 120,000.
The window and lock controls stopped working, and we smelled something burnt. my husband took apart the piece, to find the part had caught on fire or smoke or something. a big hole with melted plastic. this had to have happened overnight. everything was working fine yesterday, and when we went to get in the car today is when we noticed the problem. *tr
