Tl* the contact owns a 2000 chevrolet monte carlo. the contact stated that while driving at an unknown speed, the accelerator pedal became unresponsive and the steering wheel seized causing the contact to lose control of the vehicle and crash. the air bags failed to deploy. the contact sustained injuries to the back, neck and the head that required medical attention. a police report was filed. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the vin was not available. the failure mileage was unknown.

My 2000 monte carlo has had 3 instances of accelerator sticking on interstate driving. rpm's will increase to over 3000, luckily have been able to safely bring car under control and manage to get it off of highway and stopped by turning key off. it also will fail to start at times and if it does start, when i turn it off, may not start again. had it in repair shop and they put it on diagnostic machine, but could not locate any problems. need help!!! *tr

I was proceeding to go up a hill and pressed on the pedal for a little more gas when all of a sudden it felt like the pedal caught on something and was being pulled closer to the floorboard and the car going faster and faster even after i took my foot off. i tapped the pedal two or three times before it finally let loose and engine was not racing. it has happened two times before but it was not as bad. i wanted to check on your site to see if there had been a recall before i take it to the garage. *tr

Vehicle rolls back when on a hill, and it's even worse when a/c is on. rpm's aren't sufficient enough to hold vehicle on a hill. *ak *ml
