Truck has 11k miles. when breaking at low speeds, i get a lot of break squeal. this happens driving forward or in reverse. also, when driving the truck has a hard time shifting and makes a rattling/pinging noise when it is trying to find the correct gear. this happens sporadically when driving slow, fast, uphill, and mostly occurs during acceleration. the shifting issue happens on the freeway as well as city streets.

I have had issues with my brakes since the truck was purchased brand new. i have had it to several dealerships and still keep getting a service brake assist message. after paying for several unnecessary parts which is documented i still have the same problem i have also had a slower speed rear end collision i had both feet on the brake pushing as hard as i could and still coasted into the other vehicle.

When driving around 5 to 8 mph while approaching a turn. vehicle ran into vehicle in front of me. pedal went to the floor and when trying to move the vehicle to the side of the road noticed the brake pedal was locked to the floor. gm engineer diagnosed as power brake booster and bracket. repairing vehicle at their cost including body damage. *tr
