Problems with 2007 Volvo XC70 EXTERIOR LIGHTING

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 volvo xc70. while driving at night, the lens cover on the headlamps was faulty. the contact was unable to see the road clearly because the lens cover was blurry. the vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the headlamp needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 120,000. the consumer made several attempts t clear the surface of the defective headlight lenses by going to an auto body shop who attempted to buff out the defects without success. the consumer then tried rain-x with no success. he finally tried a compounding rough, also with no success. the consumer was informed the lenses alone could not be replaced. the entire assembly would need to be replaced at a cost of $1200. updated 06/13/16.*jb...updated 06/30/16 *bf updated 07/14/16.*jb
