Recently reported FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM problems on 2007 Volvo XC70

Started my car in the morning and it sounded normal (it had driven perfectly normal the day before). when i tried to back out of the driveway, it had no power in reverse and barely crept onto the road. when i put it into drive, it had no power either-only crawled very slowly. when i put it into manual drive, it went normally. back into automatic and it was creeping again. haven't taken it to a garage yet because i don't trust it on the road now.

On interstate highway the engine suddenly lost power without warning. a "reduced engine performance" light was lit on the dash. i was able to get off the interstate highway and stop on the berm. i turned off the engine and restarted. the warning light was still on but it had enough power to get me home (30 miles). this is a very serious problem. the warning light is still on and i am afraid to use the wagon.
