The rear door (tailgate) does not latch nor lock. when it is closed, the catch does not engage and there is no noise from the locking motor. so the door remains open when driving or parking. this is the serious safety issue. i also found a lot of complaints and fault reports from other volkswagen owners over the internet. *tr
