Problems with 2006 Volkswagen Passat AIR BAGS

There is 2 safety recalls on my cars vin number an my dealership i got it from wobt fix it i've asked over an over i've only had the car for about 8 or 9 months. im still making payments on it but rarely driving it

There was a valve body recall for rough shifts. i had noticed these a couple of times. also the vacuum pump, airbags ects.

Hi i have a 2006 volkswagen passat 2.0t and it has two recalls on the vehicle. i called volkswagen to fix the recalls but they saying they can't fix my car because it won't start. i told them that the fuel pump control module recall could be the reason it won't start and that they need to fix it even if it doesn't start. the guy name ryan say he will have to charge me $130 to see what's wrong with the car before he can fix the recalls. i think he full of it and just want to find something else wrong with my car so he can say oh this the problem and try to charge me a arm and a leg. i feel like just because my car won't start doesn't mean he can't fix my recalls. am i wrong because i thought by law no matter the circumstances or condition of the vehicle the recalls have to be fixed.

I'm writing because i received a recall on april 16th 2017 because my 06 passat has takata air bags that if triggered could kill or seriously injure me !!!!! i did as the recall said and took it to my dealership . where i was told that it would be october or november before this airbag can be replaced !!!! so what am i supposed to do here drive a car that could kill me for the next 6 months

Takata recall-i have received yet another recall notice about airbag repair but this is not possible. waldorf volkswagen does not have the parts to complete this repair for my vehicle. my airbag light has been illuminated for over a year and i really don't drive the car as a result of this. why does vw of america continue to send these repair notices but there aren't any parts available yet? this is totally unacceptable!

Takata recall: received letter from volkswagen of america, march 2017 informing me to contact the dealer to have the airbag replaced. i did, made an appointment and the next day received a phone call from the dealer that they cannot repair my car because they do not have the parts. i asked when can i expect to have the work done and the service representative said she has no idea. the letter states that the vehicle is unsafe to use because "people have been killed and seriously injured by this defect." i tried calling the telephone number provided and waited for over an hour online before i gave up. i also sent the dealership several text messages to complain about the lack of follow-through, but i have not received any responses. i am afraid of using my car due to the defect. i feel that the dealerships lack of response is unacceptable. i would like to have the dealership provide me with a loaner until and whenever they repair my car. i also would like the dealership to respond to my concerns. i don't know is not an acceptable answer, especially if the failure to fix the car in a timely manner could prove fatal. please help me.

Takata recall. it has been over a year that i have been driving my vw passat with recalled airbags. my son will soon be driving and i will not allow him to drive this vehicle until the airbag is replaced. i need the airbag replaced before he starts to drive in the summer of 2017. i have received no information from vw regarding the recall and my dealer only says that they are still waiting. not having this fixed is putting myself at risk and will require us to purchase a new car for my son unless fixed in time for him to start driving. not having an estimated date for the issue to be fixed by vw is unacceptable.

Takata recall called my dealer to get an update on the takata recall, and still no available date, vw customer service is telling me is safe to drive the car despite several cases of fatal injury. vw is also not providing with a rental or immediate solution to the problem.

Takata recall i went in to get the repair a week later an airbag fault came on and still on. then twice while i was driveing on highway car cuts off completely then i have to pull over with it just rolling. the steering sometimes comes on and says defective then the sun roof open closes by itself. alot of electrical problems always have to get something fix just pray that i dont get into an accident. the heated seats dont work nomore for some reason on day they was good now no and its not the fuse.

Takata recall i have an '06 passat. why is it a year after i got the recall letter that i'm still waiting for it to be replaced? i have a 6 year old daughter that i drop off and pick up from school in this car with the killer air bag! my passenger side air bag sensor "sometimes" works. why the entire car hasn't been recalled, only god knows. this is ridiculous and i'm ashamed more hasn't been done to ensure the safety of passengers of these cars made with short cuts and cheap parts. my life and my daughters life is worth far more than another cheap seat in front of a killer air bag. this is suicide and shame on those who are delaying the fixes because that is potential attempted murder on millions of people and their children.

My vehicle is recalled for this serious problem and vw is not offering a part to fix it or a rental car. it is illegal for my mechanic to turn off the airbag. i feel extremely unsafe driving my car with my child and husband in it as a minor fender bender in which the airbag activates could result in death. it is totally unacceptable that vw is not offering a solution for these car owners today.

I purchased the vehicle then i received a tanaka airbag recall from volkswagen of america informing me that there are no parts the airbags the vehicle is unsafe on the road i can't go anywhere nothing has happened yet just a matter of time.

Tamara recall: i have called volkswagon and a local dealer about the safety of my daughter or anyone driving this vehicle. i have asked if there is alternative transportation being offered and both the dealer and volkswagon have indicated they are not offering any alternative transportation. they have also indicated that a solution for the airbag and parts are not available. volkswagon should offer alternative transportation until this can be repaired and the vehicle is safe to drive!!!!!

Takata recall i was in a front end collision with another car going about 70 mph with the flow of traffic around 3:15pm pst when my driver's side airbags did not activate at all. there is a know recall on the driver's side airbag for my car but no repairs have been made available. this non-activation of this safety feature of my car caused me to hit my steering wheel hard with my chest.
