I had made an appointment with volkswagen dealership to have my car looked at because of the recall. my abs light came on and has been on for weeks. it hasn't turned off. when i took my car in they tried to perform a software update but weren't able to because apparently the module went out before the recall. i haven't had any problems with this until just a few weeks ago so i don't understand how that is possible. now they are saying its technically my fault and now im stuck paying 1200 on an abs module and maintenance. my abs light came on went i went around a corner and slammed on my breaks, ever since then it wont turn off.

My vehicle was parked at home. i tried to start my vehicle; which it did but once i got to my destination the key would not come out and the vehicle would not turn off. i tried for 3 hours to remove the key. the only oppostion i had was to take it to a dealership at night; so that the car would be safe. i took the fuse out at and detached the battery plug turning off the car, but i had to leave the key in the ignition. i had just purchased the vehicle a week earlier and will have to pay 800.00 to have it repaired. i have never experienced a vehicle not cutting off ever and this is a terrible defect to any volkswagen owner to have to endure such a problem with a vehicle. i normally purchase honda due to the dependability, but i told my husband i always wanted to drive a volkswagen. im now sorry that i purchased this vehicle. that defect is very dangerous to anyone owning this type of vehicle. my vehicle is currently in he shop, which i have to wait for the part to come from germany. the volkswagen ...
