The clockspring broke, i have an airbag error light on and none of the steering wheel functions work including the horn. many of the 2015 vw vehicles have been recalled but the gti is not apart of the recall.. the dealership confirmed it's the clockspring
Airbag clock spring failure. the sterling wheel will make a crunching noise while making left or right hand turns. at point of failure i was making a left hand turn then all the sudden the crunching noise stopped, and i got error air bag, error transmission, and the horn stopped working.
